MILEAGE: 61,613 reading and who really knows.

UP FRONT discloser and time saver!!!!!!!!!! This is a good looking car, it is solid, it drives and stops good, it has clear glass and good chrome, the engine runs good and the transmission shifts good. It no $100,000 roll out of the trailer show queen. Its just a nice drive and enjoy quality car. The car has good tuxedo paint, the door jambs and underside of trunk and lips painted decent, the paint has a brilliant shine, but not perfect, but the body is straight when you look down the sides. This is not a real Super Sport, it just has the cowl hood, painted stripes and emblems added, "don't it look good". The floors and frame look real good, its ready to drive, but a few little thing don't work, I'll list them later.

WHO YOU ARE BUYING FROM:  My name is Ron Watson and I live in the small town of Athens, TennesseeAthens is called the friendly city”. We are located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in east Tennessee. I am 66 years old and work with my son Keith who is now 41. I am now retired and living my dream restoring, selling and improving classic cars. For 12 years I was an auto mechanics instructor at Tennessee Technology Center here in Athens. I am also a veteran of the US Army; I served as a Chinook helicopter mechanic, crew chief and instructor in the late 60s, I did spend a year in Vietnam.  I’m Southern Baptist faith and proud to be an American.  I’ve been married to the same good woman for almost 43 years. LIFE IS GOOD IN THE GREEN HILLS OF EAST TENNESSEE!

WILL I SELL THE CAR OFF EBAY MOTORS? Yes, I'm not crazy, I know the most of you are not registered on ebay and use it as a research tool.

MY REAL PRICE IS $16,800!!!! That's what it take to buy the car on or off ebay motors, you dealers wanting to resell have to pay the same. I have been doing this for a long time and I know the game, I don't play it the same as most and I sell every car I put for sell.

PLEASE NO TRADES!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Thank you, but I will not trade, why should I trade when I have a hot selling car, I don't need motor cycles, boats, jewelry or your used false teeth.

I DO NOT SHOW CARS ON SUNDAY!!!!! I worship on sunday, I spend time with my family and I rest. I'm doing this because I love it, "I need a day off". I will be happy to show you cars 6 days a week, call in advance to set up a time.

Sorry, but I do not do videos. I'm old and don't want to learn and mess with them, I sell my cars anyway.

TITLE: The title matches the VIN on the car, I have the clear title in hand. We are just a father/son operation working out our garage, but I have dealers license to keep things legal.

HISTORY:  All I can tell you for sure is what I find inspecting and working on the car. The title is from southern Ohio near Cincinnati and states previous state of title of Kentucky. This matches what I was told about the car being a Kentucky car.

IS THERE ANY RUST PROBLEMS?    This is no rust bucket, the underside looks good, but not sanded smooth and detailed for show.  No rusted holes or rust bubbles in the paint. It is no rust bucket. The floors look original and solid, I found one small place with a patch. The frame and mounts look good to me.

IS THERE ANY ACCIDENT DAMAGE?  None that I can find and the title states none.

WHY AM I SELLING THIS CAR?     I’m a retired mechanic/auto-mechanic instructor/was a Army helicopter mechanic and instructor. When I find a truck or car I like for a good price I buy it fix things and resell for a fair profit. I did not restore this car, I just fixed a few things.

IS THIS A MATCHING NUMBERS CAR? Probably not, but it could be!

IS THIS A REAL SUPER SPORT? It looks like one now, but it was not born one.

PAINT:    The tuxedo black paint would be considered good, the car is straight when you look down the sides, it has no rust bubbles, no  dents or car door dings. You have to look with a very critical eye to find a defect, but there are a few small ones. Very slide orange peel, if you look with a real critical eye, but less than most new cars. The only real defect is some swimming paint: the paint is base coat clear coat, it probably had 3 coats of clear on top of the black, in 2 or 3 places on the flat areas I see the swimming. The factory lead seam on the drivers side is also swimmy, thy are bad about that.I'm critical, by swimming I mean in the clear I see some spots where too much clear was put on, the clear coat is not crystal clear, they are not noticeable, but if you were here you could see them. Its a very presentable paint job that I would not care to drive and enter our local car show. Your not going to get a $20,000 black paint job on a $16,800 car.

CHROME:      Decent chrome, the bumpers look fresh and good, the headlight trim has some small pits and all the other brightwork looks plenty good for me.

INTERIOR:   No smoke smell, the seat covers are good, the carpet good, the door panels good, the headliner looks new and dash pad very nice. Who every put the seat covers on did not take time to pull them tight enough, they have some wrinkles. The steering wheel has 4 cracks, they can be filled, but lots of guys like different wheels and they are easy.

UNSERSIDE:    Solid, but not painted shinny to put mirrors under at the car show. Its not a rust bucket, the frame looks good as wheel as the body mounts, the floors look original with 1 small patch..

GLASS:    The glass is fine, the door glasses roll up and down good and the windshield looks new.

ENGINE:    Engine runs very good, we think it to be the original 350 cubic inch that has been rebuilt, but have no documentation, it had no knocks and no blue smoke.

EXHAUST SYSTEM:  New Flow Master exhaust system, with aluminized pipes, it has the deep/loud Muscle Car sound, it does have uncoated headers.

TRANSMISSION:   Its a Turbo 350 that shifts good.

REAR-END:     It has no bearing noises, no growls, its a 10 bolt and not positive traction, I have not checked the ratio, but it feels good on the road, its no crazy 4.56 or something like that, it feels like a 3.25 to 3.50 ratio.

BRAKES:  Good and power assisted. The parking brake is missing the center parts.

STEERING:   The cars drives very good, it is power steering.

WHEELS AND TIRES:      The wheels are Rallies and the tires decent Michelins.

LIGHTS:     They work, turn signals work, headlights work, tail lights work, brake lights work, dome light not working light.

GUAGES:   Gas gauge works, speedometer works, the temp and oil are lights.

Wipers work!

Air conditioner is not working, the belt was off the car when we got it, we put a new one on and charged the system, the gas slowing leaked out in a couple of days. The compressor is not the correct one, it is a newer rotary type, the new needs a new modern compressor and 134 gas put in, the high speed is also not works, but it blows on a lower speed.

HOW DO THE DOORS AND HOOD OPEN AND CLOSE and panel fit?    I think they are average fit and open and close decent, the gaps are a little off like most of these old Chevelles.

WOULD I DRIVE THE CAR HOME ON A LONG TRIP: I never recommend driving a old car home, I just test drive them and drive them some around town, but I do think this car would drive anywhere.

DID I RESTORE THIS CAR? No! I did lots of work, but I don't call it a 100 point restoration.

TRADES: Please no trades, they never work out and are just to hard!

**************I DO NOT SHOW CARS ON SUNDAY AND I'M HARD TO GET ON THE PHONE, PLEASE EMAIL ON SUNDAY!**************

The rest of the information is boring unless you are really interested in buying the car, its just buying details like shipping, paperwork, who I am, where the car is located and how to pay and contact information.

CONTACT INFO: my cell is 423-506-8987, I do not answer when driving, while meeting with people, after about 8:00 PM Eastern Time or on Sunday. Please leave a voice mail and I’ll get back. I do check my emails several times a day.

     cell    423-506-8987     email:  dreamcar@live.com

PAPERWORK: I know what to do! WE DO NOT HAVE A SHOW ROOM WITH OVERHEAD! We are just a father/son 2 man operation, but we are a Tennessee licensed/bonded car dealer and have sold cars all over the US and exported many.

THIS IS NOT AN AUCTION, THIS IS A FIXED PRICE LISTING: I reserve the right to stop the listing at any time and sale the vehicle “come look”.

I RESERVE TH RIGHT TO STOP THE LISTING AT ANY TIME. THE CAR IS FOR SALE ON THE LOCAL MARKET.

WHERE THE CAR IS LOCATED:  The car is here at my garage in Athens, Tennessee. Athens is in east Tennessee, we are 50 miles south of  Knoxville. Look at a Road Atlas and follow interstate 75 south from Knoxville. I live one mile and one turn from the interstate exit. My zip code is 37303. The closest large airport is Knoxville. Athens does have a good small airport, but has no commercial flights.

US OR EXPORT "Nations Auto Transport" is located in the Kansas City area: This is a good company that will handle any type of transport in the US or overseas.

Call Jim Page....his work number is 816-295-6887 and his email is jpage@shipnat.com

MY AREA CODE FOR TRANSPORT: The area code for Athens, Tennessee is 37303. I live 1 mile off a major interstate (I-75) and 35 miles south of interstate 40,  so transport is usually very fast.

PAYMENT: I require a $250 deposit for a Buy Now or to hold the car. I will take this by PayPal, but not full payment.

Option 1: Pay the old school way with green face to face.

Option 2: Pay by check, I will wait till the most checks clear, I have had

a fake bank certified check.  I will take a bank cashiers check with lots of

identification and advance notice so I can check you out.

Option 3: The safest is to let our banks handle it, my bank is a

member of the US Federal Reserve, this is called wire

transfer. I will not give out my banking information until I get your information.

INSPECTIONS: Please come look and be happy. All inspections are required to be done before the end of the listing. I listed this car as I see it as a 66 year old car restorer, please come and judge it for your self. I judge the car to my standards, this may not be yours. Paid inspectors are unpredictable, you might get a good one, but lots of them do not impress me at all, they make a good car sound bad on the report. They have to be very critical to cover their back sides and all their concerned about is getting paid. I understand how hard it is to buy a car without looking, but I think you should come look yourself.  I don’t like paid inspectors, I like for the person that is buying to inspect for themselves. I think its fine to send a friend to inspect for you. To make it clear, don’t hit the buy now button and then inspect, come inspect first, I will not stop the listing and wait for a inspector!

TRADES: Please no trades!

I do not finance cars! If your going to finance, get pre-approved.

BOTTOM LINE:    My price is really $16,800 and I am firm. The game is not rocket science, ask a price and come down, but I don't like that game. It’s not fun to bargain over the cell phone all day long with people that live 2000 miles away and are not going to buy anyway. My firm price is the Buy Now price. I have sold every car I have ever tried to, so I’m not motivated to be bargained down.

PLEASE!!!!!!   PLEASE!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! Come look at this vehicle.

Please don’t hit the Buy Now button unless your ready to really buy it!

Do your research, call me with questions, read my feed backs, I am ebay verified; this means they say I’m a real person in a real place.

I WILL BE VERY HAPPY TO SELL YOU THE VEHICLE WITH-OUT AN INSPECTION; YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE A LOT OF NERVE AND PLEASE DON’T BE A CRY BABY.

Read the ME section on the upper right hand part of the listing marked seller info.

Thank You,

Ron Watson                  cell: 423-506-8987        email: dreamcar@live.com

MotorWeek looks back at 1995 Chevy Tahoe, GMC Yukon

Sat, Jun 20 2015

MotorWeek's Retro Review series gives us a nostalgic look back at some of the best sports cars and luxury sedans available in the 1980s and '90s. For its latest clip, the show shifts gears to remember the 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon. Similar to the success of crossovers today, SUVs were tallying big sales and making big money for automakers in the mid-'90s. The Tahoe and Yukon filled slots in the market as steps down from the larger Suburban. These twins weren't wanting for space, though, with plenty of room to haul around a family. MotorWeek came away generally impressed too, and called the models some "of the better riding sport utilities we've ever experienced." This review comes with some jazzy, electric guitar licks to enjoy in the background.

GM profits threatened by glut of pickups

Wed, 05 Dec 2012

Automotive News reports that General Motors may slash production or ramp up discounts in order to deal with an oversupply of pickup trucks. GM currently has more than double the standard supply of pickups, and the vehicles are threatening to dampen the automaker's profits for 2013. Typically, automakers try to sustain a 60- to 75-day supply of vehicles, but GM is currently loaded with a 139-day supply, as of last month. At the end of November, the automaker was sitting on 245,853 units.
The manufacturer says that it will adjust production accordingly before laying any incentives on the profitable pickups. Even so, there's some concern that the inventory swell could hurt the roll-out of the next-generation Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. GM actually began slowly stepping back production in August, but it's clear the company will take further action as it heads toward the end of the year and into the next. Analysts predict the automaker could reduce pickup manufacturing by nearly half in the first quarter of 2013.
That still may not be enough to keep GM from laying extra cash on the Silverado and GMC Sierra. While the company's incentive spending was down in November compared to the same month in 2011, both the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150 saw double-digit percentage increases in sales last month while the Silverado and Sierra numbers slid compared to a year prior. Incentive spending could help move more trucks and add some balance to the GM inventory surge.
