This LSX 376 (B18) is built to handle boost. At 8 pounds of boost on 93 octane this car made 620 horsepower and 604 foot pounds of torque AT THE WHEELS, which is not even touching the potential of this setup.2016-- Installed two new Precision 6262 turbos along with brand new TurboWerx scavenge pumps with all new lines, fittings and gaskets. Also, a new TurboSmart boost controller with all new silicone vacuum hose from front to back was added.Trent Stanley of TRS Performance has tuned and inspected this car from top to bottom. Trent says: This car was done right! In order to replicate this car, you would need a stock Camaro SS. You would need to add this motor, this turbo kit and all of the other miscellaneous top of the line upgrades…. And you are looking at $50k+ to build a car with this capability. This car is already built and ready to go. I put it on the dyno myself and didn’t take it anywhere close to the edge—620 HP. This car can be a daily driver, a weekend show car, or you can take it the track. This car has never been driven hard or beaten on. It has been driven by adults who enjoy a hot car with lots of horsepower. Here are the rest of the details: · 43K miles on the body. Approximately 18k miles on the LSX motor.· Fresh fluid change, new filter, new pan and gasket 500 miles ago. · Custom triple disk billet torque converter (3200-3800 stall) from Perfect Converter installed by TRS. (Have paperwork for the motor) This is a $14k motor from GM Performance. · Plugs replaced with NGK TR6s 2 months ago.· Doug Thorley shorty headers· TRS fabricated and installed a new custom exhaust from the headers back with no cats (all new gaskets), intercooler boots, t-bolt clamps, and silicone couplers from front to back. All brand new custom intercooler piping front to back.· 201X--Full Hotchkis suspension.· UMI rear lower control arms.· New front pads and rotors (OEM)· ZL1 wheels with Nitto NT05Rs installed in August 2015.· 20% tint all the way around minus the windshield.· Inferno Orange exterior, coordinating interior in pristine condition.· Power windows, Power driver’s seat, tilt steering wheel.· Two pod pillar gauges with boost and wideband gauges. The Fate of the Furious music video shows how much Demons love donuts

Fri, Mar 3 2017

The new Dodge Demon is leaking into everything related to The Fate of the Furious in the lead-up to both the car and the film's debut in just over a month. The latest teaser involves Demons doing donuts and burnouts in the Get Off music video, with copious amounts of both tire smoke and hip hop to accompany the tire-shredding shenanigans. It also gives us a look at some of the film's other cars. Get Off is a song by Travis Scott, Quavo, and Lil Uzi that's featured on The Fate of the Furious soundtrack, which is out now. The teaser for the music video features a pack of Dodge Challengers - both Demon and non-Demon spec - along with a line of non-SRT related products. From what we can see, the movie will have a Scion FR-S/Toyota 86, a highly modified C2 generation Chevrolet Corvette, and a Mercedes-AMG GT S. In typical over-the-top fashion, the final shot shows a submarine bursting through ice in pursuit of several cars, including a Subaru WRX. We can't see much else as the full music video hasn't been released, but expect a few more teasers once it does. The Fate of the Furious debuts Friday, April 14, just days after the Dodge Demon's debut at the New York Auto Show. GM's Oshawa plant may close after Camaro production moves

Sat, Feb 7 2015

Most of the time, when vehicle production is moved from one assembly plant to another, it spells bad news for the former. While General Motors won't go so far as to say its Oshawa, Ontario factory, which is losing the Chevrolet Camaro to the Lansing Grand River plant, is in trouble, analysts seem to think the factory's days are numbered. Forecasts for the facility are far from positive. The loss of the Camaro this year, combined with GM's targeted shutdown of a single-shift assembly line responsible for the fleet-only Chevy Impala Limited and the Equinox crossover is a bad enough omen. But with AutoForecast Solutions CEO Joe McCabe telling The Detroit News that the plant's other two products, the Cadillac XTS and Buick Regal, aren't likely to stick around beyond 2017, things look decidedly grim at Oshawa. "There is a fairly strong chance that the plant could close," Jeff Schuster, senior VP of forecasting for LMC Automotive, told The Detroit News. That doesn't mean that Unifor, Canada's auto union, and the Canadian government are going to let the factory die without a fight. And with the latter chipping in $10 billion as part of GM's 2009 bailout, you might think it has a degree of leverage in the situation. A meeting between the government and the Detroit Three at the 2015 North American International Auto Show revealed that Oshawa is already a topic of conversation. "We made it very clear that we would like to see an indication on the future of Oshawa sooner, in particular because the timing is very challenging for our supply chain to be able to adjust to potentially future orders or changes, but also to know that there are going to be future opportunities at Oshawa," Ontario's Minister of Economic, Development, Employment and Infrastructure Brad Duguid told The Detroit News. "Bottom line: It's time they made a longer-term commitment here," Unifor President Jerry Dias said, echoing Duguid's statements. It's unclear if this sort of strong talk will be enough to save 3,300-plus employees, although based on the analysts' forecasts, we doubt it.

New recall issued in 2019 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra brake software saga

Tue, Feb 11 2020

General Motors (GM) has issued a new recall for select 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 pickup trucks that aims to resolve a faulty fix for a previous recall. According to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) campaign No. 20V055000, a software update for the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) could cause the electronic brake assist to be disabled.  The NHTSA first launched a recall for 463,995 Silverados, Sierras, and Cadillac CT6es on December 12, 2019 due to a software issue in the electronic brake control module (EBCM) that could disable the electronic stability control (ESC) and anti-lock braking system (ABS). As a response and resolution to that recall, GM began to reprogram the software in affected vehicles. GM later learned that the fix was creating a different problem. The installed software had its own error that was disabling the electronic brake assist. If customers see “Service Brake Assist” or “Service ECS" diagnostic warnings, they should park the vehicle and have it towed to a dealership, GM warns. While GM was going through the process of testing, pinpointing the issue, determining action and working with the NHTSA, safety experts have criticized Chevrolet and GMC for not reacting promptly and appropriately.  According to the recall, 148,055 are now affected, all of which do not meet the standards of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 126, "Electronic Stability Control" and 135, "Light Vehicle Brake Systems." To fix the braking issue, GM will once again reprogram the software. GM began notifying owners of the recall on February 10, 2020. Related Video:
