2013 Camaro ZL1 - Supercharged 580 horse power motor straight from the factory (10 year warranty on super charger
from Chevrolet).
Like new. Still smells new. Excellent condition. Still under full factory warranty (not the case if you buy
different ZL1 that has been modified). Kept in garage under its custom cover and also garaged and not driven in the
winter. I think this beast has nearly every option: 580 horsepower supercharged V8, convertible, automatic
transmission (faster 0-60 time than manual) with sport and manual modes with paddle shifters on steering wheel if
you want to drive it as a manual transmission, heads up display projected on windshield, upgraded leather and suede
interior with contrast stitching, seat heaters, remote start, carbon fiber hood cowling and other factory carbon
parts, backup camera and sensors, satellite radio and navigation, extra set of $1,900 tires (see below), ABS, xenon
headlights, traction control, last year with the Gen 2 style tail lights. Unique, low production Camaro ZL1 that
will certainly become a collector in the future. tons more options that you can check out by googling the specs
for the 2013 ZL1.
Along with the like new OEM warm weather tires (Goodyear Eagle F1s), I’m including a $1,900 set of 4 Pirelli
Sottozero winter tires with only about 2,000 miles on them. These are the only winter/cold temp tires that fit
these wheels properly. The OEM tires are really, really slippery in cold temps (late fall and early spring) with
that much horsepower and torque, even when you are trying to be gentle, and Chevrolet specifically warns owners to
not drive the ZL1 in cold temps on the OEM tires. The Sottozeros grip very well in colder temps. I agree with
Chevrolet. You should not drive a ZL1 in temps below about 40 degrees on the OEM tires, which are a warm weather
tire. You will definitely end up buying Sottozeros if you buy a different ZL1 and want to drive it in temps below
about 40 degrees.
Also included is a custom California Car Cover.
Driven mostly by my wife, who drives it like a laid back convertible on sunny days. It’s not a primary car for
either of us. Just comes out on bluebird days.
The auto transmission with sport and manual mode and paddle shifters is a $1,500 factory upgrade over the standard
manual and gives you options.

Chevy Volt 'Drive My Way' test cuts out the dealership

Tue, Dec 22 2015

Last month, the 2016 Chevrolet Volt won the 2016 Green Car of the Year Award at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Awards are nice, but General Motors is now offering to make some folks' familiarity with the second-generation Volt a little more personal. Chevy is enacting what it calls the "Drive My Way" program, where the automaker brings a 2016 Volt directly to some prospective buyers for a 30-minute test drive with no dealer required, according to Hybrid Cars. Kind of like Tesla, only different. RedCap Valet is administering the program and is helping to track drivers' behind-the-wheel behavior, including keeping records on speed, acceleration, and braking habits. General Motors representatives didn't respond to a our request for further details about how many people will be chosen for the program or how these folks were picked to participate in "Drive My Way." Through November, the Volt's sales were down 23 percent from a year earlier to about 13,000 units, so any momentum for the 2016 version is a good thing. If you're just looking for numerical improvements, the new version has got you covered. It can go as far as 53 miles on electricity alone (about 15 miles further than the previous generation model) and it's got better miles per gallon and MPGe ratings as well. Of course, numbers alone aren't usually enough sell a car. Experience counts. So we ask, dear readers, if having a 2016 Volt brought to you for a half-hour test drive might make it more likely that you'll buy one of these extended-range plug-in vehicles. While you're waiting for a new Volt to arrive at your house, you can take a look here for our First Drive review. Very first Chevy Camaro found and restored

Thu, Feb 26 2015

Restoring an important classic car can lead people down rabbit hole upon rabbit hole of discovered history in a process that's essentially automotive genealogy. Take the recent rejuvenation of the very first Chevrolet Camaro as an example. The owners started with a strong hunch that the vehicle might be something special and spent years researching to figure it all out before the mechanical work even began. Fisher Body kicked off work on the first Camaro on May 17, 1966, and it was delivered to General Motors just a few days later for final assembly. While the model has earned a place as an American performance icon since then, the original was built more to develop the production process and boasted just a 230-cubic-inch (3.8-liter) inline six and 3-speed transmission. After spending its first few months appearing in promotions, a Chevy dealer in Oklahoma got the gold car in December of '66. It was touted on the sales floor there for years, and the first private owner didn't come until 1969. This short documentary goes into astonishingly comprehensive detail about every bit of the first Camaro's history. If you just want to hear the story of the latest owners and their work to get the vehicle restored since 2010, skip about 11 minutes into the video. Or, of course, you could just enjoy the whole thing. News Source: PilotCarRegistry via YouTube, Camaro NewsTip: Chris P. The Chevrolet Bolt is headed to China as a Buick SUV

Thu, Jan 16 2020

When spy photos of what appeared to be Chevrolet Bolt EV with some minor front- and rear-end updates circulated last week, Autoblog surmised that GM was working on some sort of Bolt-based vehicle — potentially a crossover — to be sold in China as a Buick. We may just have corroboration for that theory. On Thursday, Motor1.com spotted a story published earlier this week on the Chinese site Auto Home which claims that GM has applied to sell an all-electric SUV under the Velite 7 nameplate in China.  There's little differentiating the Velite 7's exterior from the Bolt EV's, apart from bumpers, badges, and a little extra ground clearance. Up front, the bowtie is replaced by a round Buick badge, and the bumper picks up an almost Prius-like appearance thanks to contrasting vertical elements and a thin grille bleeding into the head lights to give it a full-width appearance. Chevy Bolt-based prototype View 16 Photos If the Chinese report is accurate, there is one significant difference under the skin. Per the application, the Buick crossover variant is to be powered by a 174-horsepower electric powertrain. That's down 26 horsepower from the Bolt EV's powertrain, and we can't help but think that a lifted Buick variant might just need every pony it can get.  The needs of the Chinese market are unique, and we're certain GM knows what it's doing if these figures are accurate. We have no reason to believe Buick plans to sell the Velite 7 EV here in the States, though we expect an updated Chevy Bolt eventually, and we wouldn't be surprised if Buick brings something along shortly to fill the void left by the departure of the Regal sedan and its variants.  Related Video:
