I included pictures of the imperfections, scratches on door handle area, trunk by key hole, front of car near head light.I did not notice for about a year after I bought the car but it appears there was some body work done on the right side of the hood on top. (I imagine someone dropped something on the hood during storage) I could not even get the camera to focus on them to provide a picture but wanted to provide full disclosure."

For Sale gorgeous 2002 Camaro 35th edition with many upgrades.  I purchased the car for 18,500 in 2009 from an Exotic Car Dealer in Florida that had purchased it from a man who had a very large collection that he was selling all of them at once.  My dealer purchased several of the cars and this was one of them.  After I got it I put a lot of time, effort and money into making it even better.

Upgrades include hand selected quality performance upgrades only.

Texas Speed 228R Cam

Larger Valve Springs to accommodate the Cam

Titanium Valve Spring Retainers

Hardened Steel Push Rods

New Timing Chain

Ported High Flow Oil Pump

Kooks Long Tube Headers

Ported & Polished Heads with over sized valves

Dyno tuned 405 RWHP

Removed the original tires when I purchased because they were starting to crack.  Installed a nice set of extremely grippy Michelin PS2's.  Tires have around 10k on them and are in good condition.

Car also comes with Aluminum Hotchkis strut tower brace

Bosh Green Fuel Injectors. (Same as on a Ford Lightening)

SLP Mass Air Flow Sensor

SLP Intake Bellows

Custom cold air intake

Gator Back Serpentine Belt really quiets down engine noise for that sewing machine sound

Kooks Stainless Steel Long Tube Headers

Kooks Stainless Steel High Flow Cats

Optimum Battery

GMMG Exhaust, currently not installed to keep the neighbors happy.  It is unbelievable how Nascar like it makes the car...I currently have the Kooks long tubes feeding into the stock muffler which actually still sounds very respectable.  The GMMG Chambered exhaust is a snap to change if you have lift.  I will include it in the sale.  It is in like new condition currently residing in my basement.

When I installed the Cam, heads, and long tubes I removed the AC system.  After it was reinstalled I had a local mechanic charge it for me and it has been the coldest car I have ever ridden in since.

I perform all of the maintenance on the car.  All fluids are very clean and changed before every summer.

I have HP Tuners for it and plan to list separately.  It is really handy for adjusting anything you can think of on the car.

The car has been a wonderful experience for me and has provided a lot of good memories, I hope to find her a good home.

To be open and honest here are the imperfections:

The car has a few minor nicks and scratches, Im probably the only one that knows they are there.  I included pictures of the imperfections, scratches on door handle area, trunk by key hole, front of car near head light.

I did not notice for about a year after I bought the car but it appears there was some body work done on the right side of the hood on top.  (I imagine someone dropped something on the hood during storage) I could not even get the camera to focus on them to provide a picture but wanted to provide full disclosure.

5 reasons why GM is cutting jobs, closing plants in a healthy economy

Tue, Nov 27 2018

DETROIT — Even though unemployment is low, the economy is growing and U.S. auto sales are near historic highs, General Motors is cutting thousands of jobs in a major restructuring aimed at generating cash to spend on innovation. It's the new reality for automakers that are faced with the present cost of designing gas-powered cars and trucks that appeal to buyers now while at the same time preparing for a future world of electric and autonomous vehicles. GM announced Monday that it will cut as many as 14,000 workers in North America and put five plants up for possible closure as it abandons many of its car models and restructures to focus more on autonomous and electric vehicles. The reductions could amount to as much as 8 percent of GM's global workforce of 180,000 employees. The cuts mark GM's first major downsizing since shedding thousands of jobs in the Great Recession. The company also said it will stop operating two additional factories outside North America by the end of next year. The move to make GM get leaner before the next downturn likely will be followed by Ford Motor Co., which also has struggled to keep one foot in the present and another in an ambiguous future of new mobility. Ford has been slower to react, but says it will lay off an unspecified number of white-collar workers as it exits much of the car market in favor of trucks and SUVs, some of them powered by batteries. Here's a rundown of the reasons behind the cuts: Coding, not combustion CEO Mary Barra said as cars and trucks become more complex, GM will need more computer coders but fewer engineers who work on internal combustion engines. "The vehicle has become much more software-oriented" with millions of lines of code, she said. "We still need many technical resources in the company." Shedding sedans The restructuring also reflects changing North American auto markets as manufacturers continue to shift away from cars toward SUVs and trucks. In October, almost 65 percent of new vehicles sold in the U.S. were trucks or SUVs. That figure was about 50 percent cars just five years ago. GM is shedding cars largely because it doesn't make money on them, Citi analyst Itay Michaeli wrote in a note to investors. "We estimate sedans operate at a significant loss, hence the need for classic restructuring," he wrote. The reduction includes about 8,000 white-collar employees, or 15 percent of GM's North American white-collar workforce. Some will take buyouts while others will be laid off.

Best Large SUVs of 2024

Tue, Dec 19 2023

When it comes down to large SUVs, there's more to consider than price and just how large it is. First, it comes down to what's underneath the skin. Some are built on a truck-like body-on-frame chassis — this would be the traditional, literal definition of an "SUV." Others use car-like, unibody construction, which would make them a crossover. What really matters, though, is how you use them. For most American families, a large three-row crossover is going to be your best bet. They have loads of passenger and cargo space, and deliver superior fuel economy, handling and ride quality than those big traditional SUVs. They're cheaper, too. On the other hand, those traditional large SUVs like the Chevy Tahoe and Ford Expedition are better-suited for more heavy-duty tasks like towing. Most now have bigger third rows than big crossovers, while extended-length versions like the Chevy Suburban have way more cargo capacity behind their third rows than everything but an airport shuttle. As for luxury large SUVs, they fall into those same two categories as well, with American choices mostly being truck-based. The pros and cons of choosing one over another are similar. Below, you will find our list of the best large SUVs broken down into three categories: large family crossover, large traditional SUV and large luxury SUVs, which comprise both construction types.  Best Large Family Crossovers  |  Best Large Traditional SUVs  |  Best Large Luxury SUVs Best Large Family Crossovers 2024 Honda Pilot Why it stands out: Exceptional storage and cargo space; unique second-row functionality; refined ride; versatile and capable TrailSport; advanced AWDCould be better: Subpar acceleration with lackadaisical transmission and engine response; so-so driver assistance tech Read our full 2024 Honda Pilot Review The Honda Pilot was completely redesigned for 2023. It maintains its predecessor's family-friendly packaging and overall focus, but it has injected a welcome sense of style (especially in the TrailSport pictured above) that makes it stand out much better from the big crossover crowd. The Pilot's restrained adornment and classic proportions are refreshing compared to the increasingly busy Kia Telluride, Hyundai Palisade and Subaru Ascent. Let's talk about practicality, though, which is ultimately the Pilot's best attribute.

2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra show all their sides in Detroit

Tue, 15 Jan 2013

There could hardly be more riding on the next-generation General Motors full-size pickup trucks, so the automaker has wisely made sure to have a selection of different models on hand at the Detroit Auto Show to show off. The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra were both officially introduced last month at a stand-alone reveal, and now they'll be on display for the public to see in various body configurations and trim levels.
The Silverado LTZ Crew Cab and Sierra SLE Extended Cab are aimed at providing more of a high-end pickup experience, while the Silverado LT Z71 Extended Cab and Sierra SLT Z71 Crew Cab should have off-road fans scouting out their favorite trails. The crew cab trucks won't go into production until sometime during the second quarter of this year - with other bodystyles coming later in the year - but we have plenty of live images from Detroit for you to enjoy.
