Condition: It is in very good condition. The car is 27 years old. It has the original paint, and it also has no problems. I recently put in a new battery which has a 3 year warranty. The car is very reliable for me and it has never been bad for me. It has some rust on it, but only surface rust. It is a straight body. Alternator is just fine and the car starts right up. It may be 27 years old but it does sure does have a good amount of power. I get 21MPG on average(I calculated it every time I filled up. You will not be disappointed. All it really needs is a paint job and that is all. It has some dents here and there but I will get them removed before I finalize the sale. This car has never been smoked in ever, and the interior is clean. It has cracks on the dash panel, but nothing too serious. This car, with the right owner who knows how to work on cars and take care of them, can make this into a show car if he wanted.

Features: The car has t-tops which are really fun and make driving a nice ride. The car has big wheels in the back, smaller in the front. Comes with P/W, P/L, C/D Player. It is an Auto Transmission. It turns heads wherever I go and comes with the stock Surround Sound system. It has a 305. Engine never let me down before, it is a stock 305 and I previously bought the car from a mechanic.

History: The car was originally painted red, and it still has that original paint. The engine is all stock except for a new battery, and for a flowmaster/magnaflow dual exhaust in the rear. It has NEVER been smoked in, or stained. It is a dependable vehicle that looks great and can probably last another lifetime with the proper TLC.

Shipping & Payment: Buyer will be responsible for shipping fees UNLESS the total exceeds $5000, then I will pay for the truck to ship the car to you at the given address you have given me.

Other: I am selling the car because of my commute to school and work. I am going to end up buying a Toyota Prius or a Chevrolet Volt. If I didn't work so far away, I would keep it. I will miss this very much so, but I will also be happy that I have sold a car that is amazing, to somebody who appreciates it as do I.You can message me through here for any details or info you would like to know. Just do me a big favor, take care of it. The Iroc-Z's are becoming rarer and rarer as time goes on, and the ones with t-tops are more difficult to come by.

Who sold the most heavy-duty pickups in 2012? PickupTrucks.com investigates

Tue, 26 Feb 2013

Domestic manufacturers enjoyed a good year for heavy-duty pickup sales in 2012. PickupTrucks.com has taken a close look at exactly how those sales broke down between each manufacturer and between three-quarter and one-ton pickups. Ford sold some 67,786 F-250 Super Duty models last year with the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD falling just behind at 56,359 units. The Ram 2500 HD came in third at 41,918, while the GMC Sierra 2500 HD earned itself fourth place with 27,616 deliveries. While Ford held onto the top spot in the one-ton market, Ram easily nailed down second place by selling more 3500 HD models last year than General Motors sold Silverado 3500 HD and Sierra 3500 HD trucks combined.
So, did GM manage to sell more trucks than Ford with its two brands? Very nearly. Ford sold a total of 119,338 heavy-duty pickups to GM's 111,555. Ram, meanwhile, moved a distant 77,583. But perhaps more interesting is the diesel take rate in this segment. PickupTrucks.com says 80 percent of all domestic one-ton trucks roll from the dealer lot with a turbo-diesel under the hood. Head over to the site for a closer look at the breakdown.

GM Canada recalls 159,240 GMC and Chevy trucks for faulty defroster circuit

Fri, Jul 12 2019

General Motors is recalling more than 159,000 2014-2019 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup trucks in Canada due to a potential fire risk. GM says the rear defroster circuit could overheat on trucks optioned with the power-sliding rear window. Thus far, there is no word on the recall's relation to U.S. vehicles. The recall, found by Automotive News, was posted to Transport Canada on June 28, 2019 with manufacturer recall No. N192220470. Included in the 159,240 vehicles are the 2014-2018 Silverado 1500, the 2015-2019 Silverado HD, the 2014-2018 Silverado LD, the 2014-2018 Sierra 1500, the 2015-2019 Sierra HD, and the 2014-2018 Sierra LD. The notice says the rear defroster circuit, specifically on trucks with the power-sliding rear window, could overheat. Because of its placement, this excess heat could cause melting, smoking, or possibly fire, in the worst case scenario. As of now, there is no official word when GM will initiate the recall and there is no official fix detailed just yet. GM suggests that owners, who will be notified by mail if their vehicles are affected, take their trucks to a dealer to remove the rear window defroster fuse as a stop-gap.  Automotive News contacted GM to find out if the problem is also found in trucks sold in the United States, but no definitive statement was made, as the investigation is reportedly ongoing. We will update this space if American vehicles are found to be included in the problem.

Corvette + fireworks = so much glory

Fri, Jul 3 2015

You might think that those of us making our living by reviewing cars, think critically about the cars we're driving most of the time. It could be that I'm an underachiever, but that's not the case with me. In fact, unless I'm set to the review task, I typically think about the cars in front of and around me more frequently. That's because a) you never know what you're going to see out there, and b) all of them could be out to bump/scratch/tailgate/crash me out. You can never be too careful. Such was the case when I was driving a 2015 Chevy Corvette earlier this week. I'd already had my fun finding the edges of grip on a river road in the car, the night before; on the morning in question I was just trying to get to work. But while scanning the suburban streets for potential dangers to the 'Vette's neat-o Daytona Sunrise orange paint, I spied a XXL-sized fireworks tent in an empty parking lot. Oh right, I remembered, 4th of July weekend. That obvious bit of observation lead to a chain of thought along these lines: "We should do something with this car for the 4th" ... "Too bad I have to give it back tomorrow." ... "Wonder if I could do a quick video?" ... "Wonder if I can set off a bunch of fireworks in slow-mo for a video?" The result, well, I won't call it genius, but I will say that I remember why every kid loves fireworks. And I will call it glorious. Happy 4th, y'all.
