1974 Camaro With Matching Numbers And Factory Ac. on 2040-cars
Brighton, Colorado, United States

This car is being re-listed due to a prior listing error. This is one the finest 1974 Camaro you may ever see. It has been cloned to a z-28 many years ago, but is one of the best looking Camaro's you will ever find. This car has its original matching numbers engine and transmission with the partial vin number on both the engine and transmission. Has a Posi limited slip rear end, power steering and power disc brakes. It has a the original 350 Engine and 350 Turbo transmission and a original working AC car. The car has tilt steering and a rear sway bar for handling. I was told that from the collector in Florida I purchased the car from that these were the original miles on the car. That is a good possibility with the overall condition of the car, but I cannot prove that its 23,900 or has turned once. With the overall condition of the car, I find it hard to believe that the car has turned? I purchased this car last year from a collector out of Florida who owned the car for the past 10 years. I have only had the car out of its stored location one time at which I took it to the largest car show here in Colorado. People were amazed with this car and its condition. This car without a doubt drives better than any new car you will drive. Hands Down!!! It really drives that good!!!!! The 1974 Camaro to me is one of the hardest Camaro's to find in this condition. There are very few in this condition let alone with true matching number components. This is a own year only car, it is the last year of the small back window and the first year of the bumpers. I would be surprised if anyone has ever seen a 1974 as nice as this one with Matching original number engine and transmission. This car is as nice as it looks and is rust free. The pictures really don't show the beauty of this Camaro. I am offering a buy it now and will consider any fair offer. If you are really looking for a 1974 Camaro, I gaurentee you that you will not find a nicer, more original 1974 Camaro than this one. The interior is as nice as the rest of the car. THIS CAR HAS NO HIDDEN SURPRISES, RUST, DENT"S OR BONDO. It is absolutly one of a kind.. This car is also a great investment. Being that it is one of the very few 1974 Camaro's around in this condition with matching numbers, This car will hold its value and increase double or triple over the years just the same as you have seen the prices on first and second generation Camaro's sky rocket over the past 5-10 years. I guarantee you that in another 10 years that someone will not be able to come close to buying this car at its current value today. With that being said, I will tell you that whoever decides to purchase this car, that they will be more than 100% satisfied!!!! I would also like to suggest that if you do not have a good clean inclosed storage area for this car, you might want to rethink your purchase. This car has always been garaged and protected from the elements and it is not a car to be used as a daily driver. This is a collector car to be preserved and to be driven to shows and special outings and such. If you are looking for possibly the finest 1974 Camaro around, this is it. Good luck and I will be happy to answer any questions anyone may have via eBay or you welcome to call me as well. 303-513-1767 Mike....

Next-gen Chevy Volt will get 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine
Tue, Oct 28 2014As General Motors gets ready to unveil the new Chevy Volt at the Detroit Auto Show in January, it's starting to reveal a few more details about the updated plug-in hybrid. Today should be fruitful on that front, thanks to an event GM is hosting today that focuses on the new Volt, and we've just had the first bit of new: a bigger engine is coming. Since the beginning, the Volt has used a 1.4-liter, four-cylinder engine as a range extender when the battery runs dry. The second-generation model will instead get a slightly larger 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine that will be built in Flint, MI. That's a step up from the various engines that have been a part of the 2016 Volt's rumored mills, everything from a 1.0-liter or 1.2-liter three-cylinder to a 2.0-liter turbo. The confirmation about the new 1.5-liter powerplant was found in Automotive News, where we also heard again that GM is going to start building the new Volt's electric drive unit in Detroit, moving production up from Mexico. We will have more information on the 2016 Chevy Volt later today.
Frustrated GM investors ask what more Mary Barra can do
Mon, Oct 22 2018DETROIT — General Motors Co Chief Executive Mary Barra has transformed the No. 1 U.S. automaker in her almost five years in charge, but that is still not enough to satisfy investors. Ahead of third-quarter results due on Oct. 31, GM shares are trading about 6 percent below the $33 per share price at which they launched in 2010 in a post-bankruptcy initial public offering. The Detroit carmaker's stock is down 22 percent since Barra took over in January 2014. After hitting an all-time high of $46.48 on Oct. 24, 2017, the shares have declined 33 percent. In the same period, the Standard & Poor's 500 index has climbed 7.8 percent. Several shareholders contacted by Reuters said GM could face a third major action by activist shareholders in less than four years if the share price does not improve. "I've been expecting it," said John Levin, chairman of Levin Capital Strategies. "It just seems a tempting morsel to somebody." Levin's firm owns more than seven million GM shares. Barra has guided the company through the settlement of a federal criminal probe of a mishandled safety recall, sold off money-losing European operations, and returned $25 billion to shareholders through dividends and stock buybacks from 2012 through 2017. GM declined to comment for this story, but the company's executives privately express frustration with the market's reluctance to see it as anything more than a manufacturer tied mainly to auto market sales cycles. GM's profitable North American truck and SUV business and its money-making China operations are valued at just $14 billion, excluding the value of GM's stake in its $14.6 billion Cruise automated vehicle business and its cash reserves from its $44 billion market capitalization. The recent slump in the Chinese market, GM's largest, and plateauing U.S. demand are ratcheting up the pressure. GM is one of the few global automakers without a founding family or a government to serve as a bulwark against corporate raiders. In 2015, a group led by investor Harry Wilson pressed GM to launch a $5 billion share buyback, and commit to what is now an $18 billion ceiling on the level of cash the company would hold. In 2017, GM fended off a call by hedge fund manager David Einhorn to split its common stock shares into two classes. Einhorn, whose firm still owned more than 21 million shares at the end of June, declined to comment about GM's stock price. Other investors said there were no clear alternatives to Barra's approach.
Nissan Leaf sets new November sales record, Chevy Volt drops again
Tue, Dec 2 2014When you talk to people in the plug-in vehicle industry, one theme you hear repeatedly is that the more plug-in cars that are out there, the better things are for everyone. One reason is that more EVs build a need for more public chargers, and more chargers mean more people see that plugging in is feasible. But there's still something to be said for old-fashioned competition, and in the sales race between the two long-running plug-in vehicles in the US, the Nissan Leaf is resoundingly beating the Chevy Volt for 2014. In fact, it won't be long before the EV's cumulative sales top the PHEV's. But that's a topic for another month. For now, we have the sales results from November. Unsurprisingly, Nissan set another monthly record (that is, the best Leaf sales in any November, the 22nd time in a row we've seen a monthly record) with 2,687 sales last month. That's up 34 percent over last November and up 35 percent year-to-date. Toby Perry, Nissan's director of electric vehicle marketing, said in a statement that, "Our 'Kick Gas' ad campaign and 'No Charge to Charge' launch in Chicago and Atlanta drove an increase in November Leaf sales. Even with gas prices falling across the country, consumers appreciate that the cost of driving a Nissan Leaf is still a fraction of that of a gas-powered car." Over on the Chevy side of the ledger, there were 1,336 Volt sales last month, down 30.4 percent from the 1,920 sold in November 2013. So far this year, Volt sales are down 16.4 percent and Chevy has sold 17,315 Volts in 2014. As we said last month, the Volt slump might be due to people waiting on the new version to make an appearance at the Detroit Auto Show next month before going on sale in the second half of 2015. So far in 2014, Nissan has sold 27,098 Leafs. Look for our detailed post of US green car sales in the near future. Until then, please discuss last month's Leaf and Volt sale in the comments, below.
