Number Matching Camaro that is Show Quality and Very Rare indeed. The underside of this Camaro is almost perfect - No Rust ever. <> Body panels are believed to be original and the fit is Amazing for a 46 year old Camaro. Engine rebuilt with all Chevy Factory Parts and runs like new - no drips, rattles or shakes anywhere in this Camaro and whether you are going 60 or 90 down the freeway she tracks straight and clean. Interior is all New and it has the Custom Factory Interior ( 725) <> Paint is very good with a small touchup here or there, this was never a trailer queen we drove her to Car Shows. <> Only 12,496 - 68 Camaro SS were built and about a third had the RS Package too. Only 12% were painted Red and only 5% had the Red Interior. Almost no L48 - 4speed - factory air Camaro's were ordered because people wanted to go fast. I remember the L48 Camaro's and they came out of the Hole fast and hard with a 4speed and multi leaf 12bolt rearend they could keep up with the big block cars of the day the 440's - 396's and 389's. My Mechanic drove the Car and said it was sweet and the performance was excellent and surprising too. <> This type of Camaro rarely comes to Ebay as most go to the Big Car Auctions like Barrett Jackson or Mecum, I believe this Camaro would bring in the High 30's at one of theses Auction's and my reserve is lower then that. <> American and Over Sea's Bidders please be aware it may be a long long time before another Real L48 -RS -SS 4speed with factory air Camaro crosses the block in this Pristine Condition on Ebay again. Got a question give me a Shout at 314-842-1353 ask for Phil.
On Sep-12-14 at 19:35:25 PDT, seller added the following information: Reserve has been lowered on this Unique Camaro - Floor Pans are like new and underside very clean - Runs out like a New 68 Camar0, you would be hard pressed to fined another in this condition anywhere. Many Many Awards and Trophies my favorites are the People's Choice Awards because they vote for that one. I think it is the Condition and the Awesome Rare Color Combination that the people like the most. Title Clear and in my name, will make Camaro ready for your shipper. This is a Turn Key Driver that has been gone thru by Myself and my Mechanic and needs nothing. ( Original Carb and Water Pump are in the trunk too !) |

Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat vs. Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 in latest Head 2 Head
Fri, Jan 30 2015"Olympian" is one of the terms we use to signify the greatest height, the seat of the gods. Yet Mt. Olympus is the second-highest peak in the Balkans ranges, overshadowed by the crest at Musala in Bulgaria's Rila mountains. Both great heights, but one is a little higher. That's how we get the Olympian Chevy Camaro ZL1 pitched at the Musalic Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat in Motor Trend's latest episode of Head 2 Head. The side-by-side spec sheet is filled with farcical numbers. For the ZL1, that's a 6.2-liter V8 with 580 horsepower, 556 pound-feet of torque, a 4,051-pound curb weight, 0-to-60 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds, a quarter-mile time of 12.2 seconds and a base price of just $57,800. Opposing that, the Hellcat wrings out its 6.2-liter V8 for 707 hp, 650 lb-ft of torque, weighs 4,449 pounds, does the quarter in 11.7 seconds and has a base price of just $60,990. Except in the case of the Hellcat, when Motor Trend put it on the dyno the machine spit out a reading of 672 hp and 606 lb-ft at the wheels. If there's a 10-percent driveline loss through those beefed-up internals and heavy-duty eight-speed transmission, that means the Hellcat is actually rated at about 750 horsepower and 700 lb-ft. But once they get put on a closed-off strip of coast road in Northern California, there are only a few strands of hair between their respective performances. That's not the case for they sensations provide; host Jonny Lieberman calls one of them, "One of the most incredible cars ever made," and says, "It changes everything." Watch the video above to see who got the verdict and how. Related Video:
GM is training more first responders for EV emergencies in the U.S. and Canada
Mon, Jul 4 2022GM is training more first responders to be able to handle emergencies involving electric vehicles. The automaker is "significantly expanding" its EV First Responder Training program in the United States and Canada as electric vehicle sales continue to grow. Its initiative will primarily focus on training firefighters and equipping them with the necessary knowledge about full electric vehicle technologies. GM says it's hoping to dispel misconceptions when it comes to handling EVs in emergency situations. One of those misconceptions is that water is dangerous around EV batteries — turns out the recommended way to put out lithium-ion battery fires is by using copious amounts of water. Andrew Klock, a senior manager of education and development at the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), said: "The best way for the public and private vehicle fleet owners to rapidly adopt EVs is to train firefighters and emergency responders on how to handle incidents involving battery powered vehicles. The fire service has had more than 100 years to gain the knowledge needed to respond to internal combustion engine fires, and it is critical that they are now educated on EV safety." The NFPA held trainings of its own that had benefited 300,000 first responders, but it believes more than 800,000 members of the community still need further training.  GM previously piloted the program in southeast Michigan, but now it's conducting training events across Michigan and in Fort Worth, Texas, as well. Later this summer, it's bringing the program to metro New York City and Southern California. Participants will have to attend four-hour sessions, with up to two per day, held in various venues, such as fire houses and dealerships. Interested first and second responders can register through the program's dedicated website and earn a certificate from the Illinois Fire Service Institute if they score higher than 70 percent on the learning assessment by the end of their training. The automaker already has a few EV models on the market, including the Chevy Bolts, the GMC Hummer EV and the Cadillac Lyriq. It has huge electrification plans for the future, though, and training responders could help make potential customers more receptive to the idea of switching to electric vehicles. GM aims to launch 30 EV models by 2025 and to exclusively sell EVs ten years after that. Related video: Green Cadillac Chevrolet GM GMC Safety Electric
Here's the production Chevy Bolt
Tue, Dec 1 2015"It looks like a Volt had an evening of regrets with an i3." That's AutoblogGreen editor-in-chief Sebastian Blanco talking about the car you see here, the 2017 Chevy Bolt. Our trusty spy photographers caught the new Bolt EV fully uncovered at a photo shoot, ahead of its official debut at the Consumer Electronics Show in January. To say the styling looks familiar would be an understatement. There's a lot of Volt elements here, and the nod to the BMW i3 is definitely valid. It's not unattractive, it's just sort of, well, there. Never mind, the Bolt will have a lot going for it when it launches, should earlier rumors come to fruition. The hatchback is expected to have a 200-mile electric range, and should cost right around $30,000 after incentives. The Bolt will be built in Michigan, and will likely arrive at dealers in early 2017. Chevy knows this one's going to be huge, and the company is fully committed to launching and marketing the Bolt the right way. We'll have the full details in January at CES. For now, feast your eyes on His Boltness in the gallery above. Let us know what you think about it, in the Comments.
