This is a nice 1994 Chevrolet Silverado 2WD Pickup. It's my daily driver and has been professionally serviced and maintained since I bought it two years ago. I need more room for the kids or I would keep it.
It has a 350 TBI 5.7 liter motor controlled by electronic MSD ignition and intake is K&N. Taylor plug wires and a new red top Optima battery. PO removed and rebuilt the motor (no documentation) Never used a drop of oil since I bought it. Transmission shifts thru all gears smoothly, no noise from the drivetrain at all. Tires are fair (50%) mounted on 15 inch Pacer Outlaw Rims. Also has Clifford security system.

Motor Trend wheels the 2015 Corvette Z06
Tue, Nov 25 2014The new Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is capable of some absolutely wild metrics. Want proof? Carlos Lago from Motor Trend is here to break it all down. 60 miles per hour? 3.2 seconds. 60 to 0? 91 feet. Lateral acceleration? A staggering 1.16g, a figure that is the highest MT has ever recorded for a vehicle that isn't a race car. It's an utterly astonishing piece of work, this Z06, and just when you think it can't possibly get any more impressive, Randy Pobst hustles an auto-equipped Z06 around Road Atlanta in just 1:30. Aside from the eight-speed auto, Pobst's Z06 had the most aggressive aerodynamic package, the so-called Stage III. Take a look at the 650-horsepower Z06 in Motor Trend's latest video.
Next-gen Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra may use carbon fiber
Thu, Dec 7 2017It's been generally accepted that the next generation of full-size GM trucks will use some sort of strong, lightweight material for the beds while retaining steel for the cab. While aluminum seems like the most obvious choice, according to Automotive News, the Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra will incorporate both aluminum and carbon fiber in their beds. The publication cites sources from within GM, though it seems the introduction of this comparatively exotic material mix is still a few years off. While carbon fiber is both stronger and lighter than steel and aluminum, it takes significantly more time and money to produce, essentially relegating the material to small-volume cars. The main benefit for trucks is the resulting reduction in weight to improve fuel economy without sacrificing the tough, rugged capabilities truck buyers expect. The Ford F-150 made the switch to aluminum for the 2015 model year and it's proved highly successful. It seemed like it was only a matter of time before the competition followed suit. Automotive News says that the next-gen trucks will launch with aluminum beds and that it will take a couple of years before we'll see any carbon fiber incorporated into the design. Even then, only look for the composite material on higher-trim models, with a trickle down to lower-spec trucks possible further in the future. In 2011, GM announced it was working with Japan-based Teijin Limited on a carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic. There's a good chance that material's introduction will be on trucks. 2017 Chevy Bolt charged up for production
Thu, Jun 11 2015Chevy's decision to call its new electric car the Bolt has stirred controversy and confusion, but regardless, it's well on its way to becoming a production reality. The prototype captured in these shots is heavily camouflaged, but the crossover/hatchback styling cues are still evident. The car also has a tall greenhouse, slight creases in the sides, and a sloping roofline in back. There's a rapidly rising body line that makes for less glass for rear passengers, but that's probably part of the camo. The Bolt is expected to arrive for 2017 and will be sold in all 50 states. The Chevy Bolt carries the promise of bringing EV technology to a broader audience. Chevy said the car will cost about $30,000 after possible tax incentives and could have a range of 200 miles. It will be assembled at General Motors' Orion Assembly factory north of Detroit. The Bolt will augment the plug-in hybrid Volt in Chevy's green fleet, and it will compete against vehicles like the BMW i3 and Nissan Leaf. Related Video:
