C.O.P.O. Chevy truck.... This is a very, very sharp and hard to find model. You will never ever find a 73-80 this rare in this condition again. I have spent years messing with this truck. I am not sure why.. That said, I still think this is one of the rarest 73-80 trucks ever built. Thats why I bought it. COPO Chevy camaro's and chevelle's are worth 6 or 7 figures. These trucks had to be factory ordered with this stripe scheme and equipment. The "9G4" option is the rarest of all . These came in Orange, Blue, Maroon and black. Most were ordered in 2 wheel drive. Rare,Rare,Rare.. .Runs and drives like new. Very rumbly. The ultra rare real factory dual exhaust (check build sticker)) sings like song,. ZERO RUST. V-8 Auto, Cold Air, Full time 4 wheel, 3.73 gearing, Dual tanks, and nice stereo. Just sits in my warehouse. I have driven her about 1000 miles in the last 4 years or so. So its time for it to go .. Straight as an arrow and draws a crowd everytime I drive it. I will help you any way I can to get it shipped to you. I really dont think there will be another one of these for sale in the next 10 years on ebay. So if you have any questions call me at 480-236-3452.; Bid with confidence as I have feedback perfect to 1999.. I enourage inspections by qualified parties. I know i am gonna miss this truck. Thanks, Eric
On Sep-22-14 at 18:47:11 PDT, seller added the following information: Okay, to answer all the questions. History of truck. This truck was in the garage of an estate sale in 2011 when I found it. I am Realtor in North Scottsdale and it is amazing what I find in garages. The paint was was pretty much gone and the interior was toast from the Arizona sun. The 9g4 decals were barely visible. The nephew of the deceased told me he thought his uncle bought it new. I found out later he bought it from the original owner with 36,000 miles on it in 1992. It took a couple of hours to get it running and I sent it to ATD a local shop to drain and flush the fluids put hoses and belts, brakes, AC as needed. Then I sent it to memory lane classic car restoration for paint were they removed the bed and sanded and painted the truck. I had a local upholstery shop do the seat and put carpet in. When they pulled out the old factory rubber floor there were 2 quarter size rust holes under it. Yes even in arizona if you hose out your truck those old insulated floors would still hold water. So I had them replace the floor pans. The fenders, rockers and doors are perfect with zero rust. I decided not to put the wood slat bed back in it because of the camper shell so they bolted down plywood and fastened polished diamond plate. It looks great. Then Beaver Stripes here in Phoenix with a lot of work, time and money custom made the 9g4 decals and installed them. They are a great company. The odometer shows 88,306 I believe it to be original miles but only the owner could verify that and he had expired so she will be sold with unknown miles. All in all its is a beauty. Still needs the undercarriage detailed to be perfect. Leaks oil here and there when it sits for months at a time. If I drive it for a day or 2 it seems to stop. Keep the questions coming and I try to answer them, Thanks |

GM’s move to Woodward is the right one — for the company and for Detroit
Wed, May 1 2024Back in 2018, Chevy invited me to attend the Detroit Auto Show on the company dime to get an early preview of the then-newly redesigned Silverado. The trip involved a stay at the Renaissance Center — just a quick People Mover ride from the show. IÂ’d been visiting Detroit in January for nearly a decade, and not once had I set foot inside General MotorsÂ’ glass-sided headquarters. I was intrigued, to say the least. Thinking back on my time in the buildings that GM will leave behind when it departs for the new Hudson's site on Woodward Avenue, two things struck me. For one, its hotel rooms are cold in January. Sure, itÂ’s glass towers designed in the 1960s and '70s; I calibrated my expectations accordingly. But when I could only barely see out of the place for all the ice forming on the inside of the glass, it drove home just how flawed this iconic structure is. My second and more pertinent observation was that the RenCen doesnÂ’t really feel like itÂ’s in a city at all, much less one as populous as Detroit. The complex is effectively severed from its surroundings by swirling ribbons of both river and asphalt. To the west sits the Windsor tunnel entrance; to the east, parking lots for nearly as far as the eye can see. To its north is the massive Jefferson Avenue and to its south, the Detroit River. You get the sense that if Henry Ford II and his team of investors had gotten their way, the whole thing would have been built offshore with the swirling channel doubling as a moat. This isnÂ’t a building the draws the city in; itÂ’s one designed to keep it out. Frost on the inside of the RenCen hotel glass. Contrasted with the new Hudson's project GM intends to move into, a mixed-use anchor with residential, office, retail and entertainment offerings smack-dab in Detroit's most vibrant district, the RenCen is a symbol of an era when each office in DetroitÂ’s downtown was an island in a rising sea of dilapidation. Back then, those who fortified against the rapid erosion of DetroitÂ’s urban bedrock stood the best chance of surviving. This was the era that brought us ugly skyways and eventually the People Mover — anything to help suburban commuters keep their metaphorical feet dry. The RenCen offered — and still offers — virtually any necessity and plenty of nice-to-haves, all accessible without ever venturing outside, especially in the winter, but those enticements are geared to those who trek in from suburbia to toil in its hallways.
Chevy, GMC have electric pickups coming. Is Cadillac next?
Fri, Jan 7 2022GMC already has an uber-expensive electric pickup in the Hummer EV. By now you've no doubt seen the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV. It's a pickup. It's electric. It looks a little bit like an Avalanche. Hmm. You know what else was a pickup that looked a little bit like an Avalanche? Why, the Cadillac Escalade EXT, of course. Cadillac Escalade EV-T yes or no?https://t.co/R1AXThRzIG@therealautoblog @Cadillac — Byron "Don't do anything Byron says. Ever" Hurd (@Byron_AB) January 7, 2022 So, hypothetically, if Cadillac were to build an Escalade EXT with an upmarket interior, Super Cruise, a minimum of 300 miles of range, 10,000 pounds of towing capacity, a locking frunk and 5-passenger seating, plus all of the nifty doodads and gadgets we've already seen on the Silverado ... would it sell? OK, this isn't entirely hypothetical. In fact, I received a survey from Cadillac this morning asking just that. It's an interesting question. And it's one we're putting to you, the readers. So, what say you? Cadillac Escalade EV-T? Yes or no? Related video:
Hot Wheels Camaro to make big debut at Indy
Fri, 05 Apr 2013Chevrolet handed over the keys to 33 Hot Wheels Camaro Convertible Indianapolis 500 festival cars this week. Race directors get the luxury of driving the droptops around Indianapolis in an ongoing tradition with roots all the way back to the 1960s. The stunt is supposed to remind area residents that the Indy 500 is right around the corner. The cars are our first look at the special Camaro Hot Wheels Edition in convertible form, and they are slated to head to dealers after a one-time production run. The cars also represent the first time in history full-size Hot Wheels have been offered for sale by an automaker.
The cars will be available in both the previously seen coupe bodystyle and this convertible configuration, and will feature metallic blue paint and special wheels with the iconic redline accent. Buyers will be able to choose between the V6-powered 2LT trim and the V8-powered 2SS guise.
Hot Wheels says the original Custom Camaro toy was one of the original 16 1:64-scale diecasts, and it remains one of the company's most valuable collector items today.
