This is a great daily driver and dependable. The engine was rebuilt for the previous owner in 2002 (have detailed receipt) and occasionally driven around town. The under dash a/c was the original dealer add on and the compressor needs some attention. The original Eaton 4:56 rear end was replaced with a period correct Dana 60 with higher 3:73 gears for drivability. The Dana front end still retains the 4:56 gears and need to be eventually changed to use the 4 wheel drive. I get lots of compliments and thumbs up with this truck, just a blast! The list below are things that were done last year. Please message or email with any questions or photo requests. I also have a video of the truck driving and engine running and exhaust.
All 4 drum brakes, hardware, hoses, pads etc replaced. New brake booster and master cylinder. New front shocks. New front leaf springs Front end gone through and new trailing arm. Rebuilt steering box. Dana 60 rear end with 3;73 gears. Under seat amp and ipod cord with single 3 way retro sound speaker in dash. New aluminized exhaust with walker factory type muffler 2.5 in. New reproduction dash. New heater defroster hoses. New thermostat. Case tractor water temp and oil pressure gauges. Repro rear view mirror. New HEI distributor. New Holley 350cfm 2 barrel carburetor. New glove box. |

Chevy Bolt wins 2017 Green Car of the Year
Thu, Nov 17 2016We knew that a plug-in vehicle was going to win the 2017 Green Car of the Year award this year, given that all five finalists have a way to charge up. And when Ron Cogan, the editor and publisher of Green Car Journal, announced the winner – the 2017 Chevy Bolt EV – he said that the car itself represents one of those times in the auto industry when everything is about to change. Similar to the invention of the starter motor, things are about to get different. For now, though, the fact that the Bolt EV won an award sounds like the same old thing all over again. Just this week, it was named Motor Trends Car of the Year and to the Car And Driver Top 10 list. The other four finalists for Green Car of the Year included the Toyota Prius Prime, the Chrysler Pacifica, the Kia Optima (including hybrid and plug-in hybrid models) and the BMW 330e iPerformance. Last year, the winner was the 2016 Chevy Volt. Did Green Car Journal make the right selection this year? See the award ceremony below.
2016 Chevy Volt to make auto show debut this season
Wed, Jul 30 2014Ever since we saw that spy shots of the 2016 Chevy Volt, we've been hungering for more information on the next-gen version of GM's green halo car. It appears we might not have long to wait, at least for an official tease. An inside source that wishes to remain anonymous told AutoblogGreen that GM will make two announcements regarding the second-gen Volt at the CAR Management Briefing Seminars in Traverse City, MI next week. The first, and most intriguing, is that that we will get our first glimpse of the new Volt at some point during the upcoming auto show season. That means either Los Angeles later this year or else Detroit, Chicago or New York in early 2015. The second bit of news is that GM will be moving production of the electric motors from Mexico to Michigan. Details and official confirmation are, of course, missing and Chevrolet declined comment to AutoblogGreen. We should know more next week.
President Obama will be on Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee
Tue, Dec 22 2015The seventh season of Jerry Seinfeld's excellent Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee will debut on Wednesday, December 30, and if this first trailer is any indication, the guest lineup is damn impressive. But rather than building up to one big guest over the course of the season, the show is starting with one of the biggest guests possible – the president of the United States. President Barack Obama will join Seinfeld behind the wheel of what looks like a 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray for a trip around the South Lawn of the White House. According to CBS, the pair will enjoy their coffee in the staff dining room, which is probably a better idea than crippling Washington, D.C., with a Stingray-led motorcade. Aside from the president, Seinfeld has recruited a couple comedy icons, including first-timers Will Ferrell and Steve Martin. Also appearing are Garry Shandling, Sebastian Maniscalco, and Kathleen Madigan. The four-wheeled stars will include the Corvette, a Plymouth Superbird, a Chevy Camaro, a classic Porsche 911, a BMW 2002, and what we think is a (rather troublesome) 1952 Siata 208 8V Coupe Balbo. You can check out the entire trailer up at the top of the page.
