This is a clean 1968 Chevrolet C10 Fleetside LWB with the CST (Custom Sport Truck) package & complete factory bright work along the sides. Factory 350 4bbl V8, Automatic Turbo Hydramatic Transmission, 12 bolt rear end, power steering & brakes, plus factory HD suspension and "heavy half" 6 lug axles.  The body is very straight and clean, no bubbles or rot, plus the body, frame, bed, and even the cab extensions are rust free.  One ding by the rear driver tail light and two light dings on the tail gate. All the glass is good. Rally wheels. The flat grey finish is very smooth and clean. The 350 V8 runs strong, starts right up and idles good. No overheating and it sounds good. Newer dual exhaust. Runs and drives fine but it has been sitting for a couple months.  Battery is good.  May be able to use as a daily driver but it is an old truck so it will need little things here and there.

The mileage reads 42k but it has rolled over since it is a 45 year old truck. I have owned it for about a year. It was used as a daily driver in 2013 during a home remodeling project.  Comes with the pink California title. The registration expired in October 2013. As of 1/28/14 there is $153 due for the 2014 sticker. If it is registered in CA again they will issue it a rebuilt title. I don't want anyone to have any surprises so I am disclosing that. Any other state the title is clean. It has a clean history with zero accidents or thefts, including a clean Autocheck and NICB report (google it).

Original blue plates front and back. Original factory option sticker in glove box. These are climbing in value, the current nada restored value on this model is $42k and last year it was in the $30's.  I priced it very low to find a new home as I have no use for it anymore.  Comes with a polished hinge kit for the rear tailgate.  International buyers accepted.  I took about 70 photographs and a video to show it thoroughly.  Located in San Diego, California.  Please email with any questions they will be answered quickly.

Chevy's Android Auto update will reach cars in March

Fri, Sep 25 2015

Buying a new Chevy with the hopes of using Android Auto during your daily commute? You'll have to sit tight for a while before that dream becomes reality. The carmaker announced that an Android Auto software update will only reach its 2016 model-year vehicles next March, starting with those that have 8-inch MyLink touchscreen systems. That's going to be a long half-year wait if you're eager to get Google Maps directions through the center stack. The good news? Chevy is promising that all vehicles with 7- and 8-inch MyLink displays (ranging from the Spark to the Corvette) will eventually have Android Auto, so you won't have to drive one of the brand's swankier machines to get a smartphone-powered infotainment deck. This article by Jon Fingas originally ran on Engadget, the definitive guide to this connected life. Related Video:

Engine block heater issues force GM to recall 324,226 diesel heavy duty trucks

Tue, May 7 2019

General Motors has issued a recall on 324,226 diesel heavy duty trucks that could be susceptible to short circuits, and consequently, potential fire. The recall affects several models of heavy duty Chevrolet Silverados and GMC Sierras with optional engine block heaters. GM is recalling seven different truck models spread across three years. The recall affects the 2017-2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD, 2017-2019 Silverado 3500HD, 2019 Silverado 4500HD, 2019 Silverado 5500HD, and 2019 Silverado 6500HD, plus the 2017-2019 GMC Sierra 2500HD and 2017-2019 Sierra 3500HD. Specifically, it includes these models with the 6.6-liter Duramax diesel engines and the optional engine block heater. The recall technically deals not with the engine block heater itself, but the way it is connected. According to NHTSA campaign No. 19V328000, the engine block heater cord or the terminals that link the cord to the heater could short circuit. A short circuit could potentially damage engine components and result in a fire. According to The Detroit News, 19 fires have been reported but nobody has been injured. GM has yet to figure out a fix, and thus has not yet released a notification schedule for affected customers. If you believe your vehicle is part of the recall, contact GM customer service at 1-586-596-1733 and use reference number N182206310.

Chevy rolls out Silverado HD High Country

Wed, 09 Apr 2014

It's been a good week for heavy-duty truck buyers. First, Ram revealed the Black Package for its HD trucks, then it rolled out its new Power Wagon, and now Chevy's getting in on the action with its Silverado High Country HD. Okay, so it may not pack quite the attitude of Ram's latest 2500-series offerings, but the High Country HD will come as a welcome addition to the Chevy Trucks range to those looking to pull their horse, boat or other trailer without skimping on creature comforts.
Rolled out a little under a year ago, the High Country trim is Chevy's answer to the likes of the GMC Denali, Ford King Ranch and Ram Longhorn. It has until now only been offered on the light duty, 1500-series Silverado, but now extends to the 2500 and 3500-series HD models, as well.
So what sets a High Country pickup apart from lesser Chevy trucks? You'll be able to pick it out based on its chrome horizontal grille, body-color bumpers, 6-inch tubular side steps, 20-inch chrome wheels (18-inch on the 3500 and 17-inch on the dualie) and, of course, plenty of special badging. But it's inside where the High Country makes its mark, with a cabin decked out in saddle brown perforated leather, seats that are both heated and cooled, eight-inch touchscreen with full MyLink suite, Bose audio and park assist functions front and rear to keep those color-keyed bumpers looking fresh. (Though Chevy hasn't yet showed us the interior of the HD model, it'll presumably look mostly the same as the cab in the 1500 High Country in the gallery below.)
