First off, this is not a thrown together truck that I chopped the springs on to sell real fast.  I bought and built this truck for me from the ground up and took the time to do everything top notch.  Is it perfect? No  Is it a rust bucket?  Definatley not.  One of the most solid trucks I have come across in a long time.  Will there be another one like this?  No way.  What I have here for sale is my Rare 1967 GMC Truck I ground up restored a year ago.  Has been touched up here and there through the years but it has great patina.   No rust through what so ever.  The emblems on the side are factory one year only custom emblems with a big window in 67 makes this truck Very rare.  The frame has been sandblasted and powdercoated along with all components that are black have been powdercoated.    All new everything underneath.  2 1/2 drop spindles 3 inch springs and disc brakes up front and big sway bar.  Rear was flipped because GMC was leaf sprung in the rear.  Rear was C-notched.  Rear end is a 3.55  Dana 44 which came stock in 67-70 GMC trucks.  It has all been changed to 5 on 5 lug pattern.  Fuel tank is a Tanks FI tank moved to the rear under the bed.  Drive train is a low mileage less than 10k 5.3 and 4l60E overdrive all stock.  Runs and drive and shifts perfect.  Installed vintage air and dakota digitals VHX gauges to monitior the vitals.  This truck runs 200 degrees on 100 degree days sitting in traffic with the air blasting all day. Underside and inside cab where lizard skin sound deadened and then dynamated.  I Love this truck and do not want to sell but have several others going and need the room.  All interior was custom made and looks outstanding in craftsmanship and functions flawlessly  It is a very high end job with nothing left undone inside.  So if you want to take a look, come by and drive come on.  I am sure I left a many things off but if you want more info you can call if serious.  Also if you have an offer, be real.  I will put a buy it now so don"t low ball me.  When the weather is good I drive this truck.  It is built to be a daily driver if so desired.  I drove it to round up in Austin and to Galveston a month ago and it gets 18 MPG. I also have a lot more pictures of truck when I got it and the process of the ground up on my phone so if you text me i can send them to you.  My phone is 281-615-0551.

Pure Vision Design TT Camaro has 1,400 reasons to want it

Wed, 06 Nov 2013

We've talked about Pure Vision Design before, a California-based company that made waves at last year's SEMA show with its Martini-liveried, Indy-car-powered Ford Mustang. That same car later starred in a Petrolicious video we showed you just a few weeks back. The company's latest creation is a menacing car it calls the Pure Vision Design TT Camaro. Based on a 1972 model, this car shares the Martini Mustang's clean styling and obsession with details.
Unlike the Mustang, which draws its power from a mid-60s Lotus-Ford Indycar engine, the "TT" in this Camaro's name implies something far more potent. The Nelson Racing Engines 427-cubic-inch V8 has been fitted with a pair of turbochargers, with a claimed output of 1,400 horsepower. That's almost 1,000 more than the Martini Mustang.
A six-speed Magnum transmission dispatches that power to the ground, while Pirelli PZero tires are tasked with (somehow) trying to grip the road. Baer brakes hide behind those HRE rims, while JRI coilovers and HyperTech springs bless the Camaro with some degree of competency in the bends.

Peter Max staring down $1M lawsuit over Corvette collection sale

Wed, Dec 17 2014

Pop artist Peter Max recently sold off his collection of 36 vintage Chevrolet Corvettes – one each from 1953 to 1989 – for an undisclosed amount. The new owners have already announced plans to restore some of them and auction the models off sometime soon. Up until then, the sports cars had been languishing in various garages around New York City for decades and were caked in dust and grime. However, Max's end of the transaction has just become more complicated, because two men are suing the artist claiming he employed them to complete the deal first. The men allege that Max hired them to broker the sale of the 36 Corvettes in exchange for a 10-percent commission, according to the New York Post. They claim to have emails and text messages proving the existence of the deal, and are taking Max to court for $1 million over the squabble. The collection of Corvettes was amassed in 1989 as part of a prize package from the television network VH1, and Max bought the cars from the winner intending on using them for an art project. He never got around to it, though, and parked the sports cars around New York, until he finally sold them over the summer.

Detroit 3 to implement delayed unified towing standards for 2015

Tue, Feb 11 2014

Car buyers have a responsibility to be well-informed consumers. That's not always a very simple task, but some guidelines are self-evident. If you live in a very snowy climate, you generally know a Ford Mustang or Chevrolet Camaro might not be as viable a vehicle choice as an all-wheel drive Explorer or Traverse, for example. If you want a fuel-efficient car, it's generally a good idea to know the difference between a diesel and a hybrid. But what if it's kind of tough to be an informed consumer? What if the information you need is more difficult to come by, or worse, based on different standards for each vehicle? Well, in that case, you might be a truck shopper. For years, customers of light-duty pickups have had to suffer through different ratings of towing capacities for each brand. For 2015 model year trucks, though, that will no longer be a problem. According to Automotive News, General Motors, Ford and Chrysler Group have announced that starting with next year's models, a common standard will be used to measure towing capacity. The Detroit Three will join Toyota, which adopted the Society of Automotive Engineers' so-called SAE J2807 standards way back in 2011. The standard was originally supposed to be in place for MY2013, but concerns that it would lower the overall stated capacity for trucks led Detroit automakers to pass. Ford originally passed, claiming it'd wait until its new F-150 was launched to adopt the new standards, leading GM and Ram to follow suit. Nissan, meanwhile, has said it will adopt the new standards as its vehicles are updated, meaning the company's next-generation Titan should adhere to the same tow ratings as its competitors. While the adoption of SAE J2807 will be helpful for light-duty customers, those interested in bigger trucks will still be left with differing standards. There is no sign of the new tow standards being adopted for the heavy-duty market.
