Since Ebay has no C-20 category, this truck is listed under the
C-10.  However this is a C-20 3/4 ton pickup truck.

I am selling my neat old C-20.  It is in quite good condition for its age.  It starts, runs, drives, shifts and stops great. It has a 327 2 bbl engine, 4 speed manual transmission with granny gear and heavy duty suspension all coil springs with auxiliary overload leafs in rear.

It rides quite smooth for being a 3/4 ton truck compliments of coil springs I guess.  It appears to have one repaint long ago as it does have some dings and chips and areas on left front corner of hood and right front fender, and under gas cap were some paint peeled but still has primer on it,  There is a little rust here and there with the worst being on the underside inside of the driver door and inside at the bottom of the tailgate.  This shouldn't be hard to repair.  The cab corners have a few bubbles but the rockers appear solid as does most of the truck.  A couple of the cross channels under the bed do have rust, but most do not. This truck was undercoated, I assume when it sold new, so some of that is flaking off in places mainly under the bed, but most of the metal under that appears in good shape.

The white paint on the bumpers and wheels appears to have been redone much more recent than the rest of the truck.

All the gauges and lights work except the left turn signal does not cancel by itself.  The horn and the dome light do not work.  The driver side wing window latch is missing and the right side does not latch tight.

The original radio is missing but it does have a nice AM/FM CD deck with a remote installed in the glove box.  It sounds very nice.

It has very comfortable bucket seats installed in it, but the factory bench seat will be included with the truck.  It is original plain vinyl with some cracks in it.

It has 16" tires and wheels on it.  The front have about 30% tread left, the rear only 10%.  I do have 2 more for the rear that match the front that will be included along with the 5 original 16.5" diameter wheels and tires, although 1 tire is not any good.

Also, a steel across the bed tool box is included if you want it and the receiver hitch.

I do not know the complete history of the truck but I was told that it spent most of its life in Colorado, where it was well maintained and taken good care of.

I was told that it was approximately 4 years ago that the heads were rebuilt with hardened valve seats installed to handle running unleaded gas, and that the brakes were all redone with new shoes and wheel cylinders.

This is just a really cool old truck that is very fun to drive and reminisce back to the late 60's (a much simpler time) and just enjoy those leisurely days, or maybe even enter in an outdoor car-truck show or parade.  It definitely gets a lot of attention.

The truck presents itself quite well for not being restored and being 46 years old.  It isn't perfect, but again, it runs and drives great and is ready to be enjoyed by a new owner.

I do have some contacts for shipping and will assist in anyway I can with them.  If you aren't able to pick up immediately, I can store the truck inside my garage for a little while (with prior arrangements).

I can email more pics if needed.

If you have any question feel free to call Jon at (361) 960-1650 or send an email.

I do reserve the right to end this auction early since I do have the truck for sale locally.

If you have zero Ebay transactions, please contact me before bidding or your bid may be rejected.

Thanks for looking and bid with confidence.

GM's Oshawa plant may close after Camaro production moves

Sat, Feb 7 2015

Most of the time, when vehicle production is moved from one assembly plant to another, it spells bad news for the former. While General Motors won't go so far as to say its Oshawa, Ontario factory, which is losing the Chevrolet Camaro to the Lansing Grand River plant, is in trouble, analysts seem to think the factory's days are numbered. Forecasts for the facility are far from positive. The loss of the Camaro this year, combined with GM's targeted shutdown of a single-shift assembly line responsible for the fleet-only Chevy Impala Limited and the Equinox crossover is a bad enough omen. But with AutoForecast Solutions CEO Joe McCabe telling The Detroit News that the plant's other two products, the Cadillac XTS and Buick Regal, aren't likely to stick around beyond 2017, things look decidedly grim at Oshawa. "There is a fairly strong chance that the plant could close," Jeff Schuster, senior VP of forecasting for LMC Automotive, told The Detroit News. That doesn't mean that Unifor, Canada's auto union, and the Canadian government are going to let the factory die without a fight. And with the latter chipping in $10 billion as part of GM's 2009 bailout, you might think it has a degree of leverage in the situation. A meeting between the government and the Detroit Three at the 2015 North American International Auto Show revealed that Oshawa is already a topic of conversation. "We made it very clear that we would like to see an indication on the future of Oshawa sooner, in particular because the timing is very challenging for our supply chain to be able to adjust to potentially future orders or changes, but also to know that there are going to be future opportunities at Oshawa," Ontario's Minister of Economic, Development, Employment and Infrastructure Brad Duguid told The Detroit News. "Bottom line: It's time they made a longer-term commitment here," Unifor President Jerry Dias said, echoing Duguid's statements. It's unclear if this sort of strong talk will be enough to save 3,300-plus employees, although based on the analysts' forecasts, we doubt it.

GM Ultium tech can scavenge heat from everywhere, even you

Mon, Apr 25 2022

GM likes to give us tidbits about its Ultium platform from time to time, and today it’s telling us about the platformÂ’s ability to capture waste heat from the propulsion system. In addition to capturing from the propulsion system, it can also capture humidity from both inside and outside the vehicle and even from passengersÂ’ body heat. Yes, you, your family and/or your friends are a usable heat source as far as GM EVs are concerned. It then deploys the heat in an advantageous way. If at this point, youÂ’re screaming, "Heat pump!" youÂ’d be right. WeÂ’re talking about an elaborate heat pump system that GM is using for its Ultium-based vehicles. Every Ultium-based GM vehicle gets this system that is covered by 11 patents and four publications. The waste heat it collects is used in a number of ways, but its primary use is to heat the cabin quickly and efficiently. GM claims it can heat the cabin of its Ultium-based vehicles quicker than vehicles with traditional internal combustion engines. Plus, when put to use, GM claims that using the heat pump provides its EVs with up to 10% more range than theyÂ’d have without. Beyond heating the cabin, the heat pump is capable of putting waste heat to use by preheating the battery prior to charging so that you can charge quicker. The system can even cool the propulsion system in preparation for Watts to Freedom (WTF) launch control starts. GM says this was vital in helping the Hummer EV achieve its bonkers 0-60 mph time of about 3 seconds. “Having a ground-up EV architecture gives us the freedom to build in standard features like UltiumÂ’s energy recovery capabilities,” said Doug Parks, GM executive VP of global product development, purchasing and supply chain. “This helps us squeeze more efficiency, performance and overall customer benefit out of our EVs.” GM says itÂ’s been developing heat pump technology since the EV1 and its heat pump. This is the modern evolution of that technology, and GM says itÂ’s going to be implemented in every Ultium-based vehicle as a standard feature. Aston Martin DBX and the craziest car redesigns | Autoblog Podcast #716

Fri, Feb 11 2022

In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Senior Editor James Riswick. They chat about slumming it in the Aston Martin DBX, the brand's first SUV, which they didn't have terribly high expectations for yet utterly blew them away. Riswick in particular notes it's one of the best cars he's ever driven, describing it as a family GT car. They then switch to a very different family vehicle: the 2022 Kia Carnival, and the unique second-row seating arrangement we've dubbed the "Captain Kirk chair." Greg has also been driving the Chevrolet Tahoe Premier. They also chat about two of Riswick's recent features: the 20 craziest car redesigns of the past 20 years and the best cars for snow.  Autoblog Podcast #716 Get The Podcast Apple Podcasts – Subscribe to the Autoblog Podcast in iTunes Spotify – Subscribe to the Autoblog Podcast on Spotify RSS – Add the Autoblog Podcast feed to your RSS aggregator MP3 – Download the MP3 directly Rundown Cars we're driving Aston Martin DBX 2022 Kia Carnival 2022 Chevy Tahoe Features 20 craziest car redesigns of the last 20 years Best cars for snow Feedback Email – Podcast@Autoblog.com Review the show on Apple Podcasts Autoblog is now live on your smart speakers and voice assistants with the audio Autoblog Daily Digest.
