Offered here for the 1st time is an Original, 1994 SPORT Chevrolet 2-door Blazer with clean title... It is not a Tahoe but does share parts with, truck that I am selling for a good friend of mine. He just recently bought this truck from a woman that advertised it on Craig's List, and whose father was a car mechanic. He serviced the vehicle religiously for His daughter... My buddy just purchased a new Dodge pick-up truck and now doesn't need this beauty anymore, that can be driven anywhere at anytime. Mileage is less than normal, averaging out to be 9k miles per year equaling 180k miles. The 2 rear, almost New 265/70-17" Continental tires and the 2 front, same condition and size Cooper Discoverer H/T tires, & Factory GMC Original Aluminum Wheels are all in near mint condition. I have been offered trades for the wheels and tires, but have politely declined all offers, so please don't ask if the set is for sale because they are NOT.. You have to buy the whole truck in order to have these wheels... The mechanical 4wd works well(shifter on floor), truck is quick(8cyl. 5.7L) and the truck runs and drives very well. Starts right up, no lag. No Oil or Anti-freeze Leaks At All.... Interior has been cleaned, previous owner must've had 10 kids as it was in need of a good cleaning, which He had done at my local detailer's shop. We replaced the 4 old, original factory shocks with a set of front and rear KYB shocks, also New Sway Bar Bushings. It rides nicely now... Oil & filter was changed, air filter also replaced. He just replaced the Front brake pads with Ceramic pads, the rotors are New, Drilled and Slotted. Rear Brakes have not been done, yet... He also replaced ignition wires with a New set of Bosch wires and throttle body was also sprayed clean, very responsive throttle on this 5.7L engine..The 4 tires and spare have 90-95% of tread left. The Interior is Mostly original, I added the Tom-Tom, Pioneer den-P7600mp Supertuner III D-50w x 4/ wma/mp3 CD player, 1 dash speaker needs replace. Rear hatch opens by dash-mounted power switch. A/C is Ice Cold, Stereo works well, flip-face. The complete & working Original stereo is packed away in that milk crate, which He will give away to new owner. The truck can Tow MAX tongue weight is 400, MAX Trailer weight is 4000, distributed is 10k... No Ball hitch provided. Also included will be a set of Brand, New Stainless Steel Headers that He thought to do a True Dual Exhaust system, but hasn't... SS Headers have Never been Handled or Mounted...

The Bad is that this truck could benefit from a wheel alignment, which is an easy adjustment at any front end/alignment shop. The truck tracks straight, drives perfectly well and safely at Highway Speed, but has a little play in the steering. Very Easily Corrected, which if the trucks sells at the "Buy It Now" placed, He will have done right away. Otherwise, the new owner can have done either at home with the right tools, or at any mechanic's shop. Previous repaint shows well, Metallic Grey on Factory Fender Flares front doors are slightly sagging and "chipped" the corner of driver's door. I will touch-up asap. It runs well, pulls very strong at highway speed. Plenty of room in the back with the cloth rear seat down. Spare tire looks almost new, factory jack looks to be complete and attached. The 2 front windows were just yesterday professionally tinted in a legal 35% Light Grey, matches the rest Beautifully. No Rust or Any Real Damage to body or Frame, previous California truck I'm told...  All in All, I am told it is a Great Truck.

Any questions can be sent to me(Dillon),

Chevrolet planning low-cost Corvette under Stingray?

Wed, 27 Feb 2013

If you're burnt out on musings about the Chevrolet Corvette, you'll want to go ahead and skip this post. Motor Trend reports General Motors is hard at work on a low-cost version of the seventh-generation sports car for 2015. Rumored to be called the Corvette Coupe, the car will forgo the Stingray and skip the 450-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 engine in favor of a 5.3-liter V8 with under 400 ponies. If you're keeping track, that's a shade of the same engine found behind the headlights of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra.
The report also suggests the Coupe will receive a number of aesthetic tweaks to separate it from the Stingray, including different front and rear fascias as well as new front fenders and a rear diffuser. Motor Trend says the point of all this is to cut the car's price tag, which means we may see a Corvette on showroom floors for less than $50,000 if this car comes to fruition.

GM to restore legendary Corvette damaged in sinkhole accident

Fri, Dec 5 2014

Car lover's hearts' sank when they saw images of bent and destroyed classic Corvettes at the bottom of a sinkhole last February after the floor of the National Corvette Museum gave way. General Motors announced Wednesday it would restore the one millionth Corvette ever produced to its former glory. The 1992 convertible was heavily damaged when a 40-foot deep sinkhole opened beneath a bevy of rare cars at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Since then, GM has been slowly restoring the classic cars, though five of the eight that caught in the sinkhole were determined to be too damaged to repair. This November, the 2009 Corvette ZR1 Blue Devil was the first car to be returned in mint condition to the Museum, according to Autoblog. It suffered significant damage but was still drivable after being pulled out of the debris. The one millionth Corvette is still in bad shape. The automaker is estimating six months worth of work to restore the car, which sustained paint scratches, rear-suspension damage and a mangled front fender. Is the skill of rev matching being lost to computers?

Fri, Oct 9 2015

If the ability to drive a vehicle equipped with a manual gearbox is becoming a lost art, then the skill of being able to match revs on downshifts is the stuff they would teach at the automotive equivalent of the Shaolin Temple. The usefulness of rev matching in street driving is limited most of the time – aside from sounding cool and impressing your friends. But out on a race track or the occasional fast, windy road, its benefits are abundantly clear. While in motion, the engine speed and wheel speed of a vehicle with a manual transmission are kept in sync when the clutch is engaged (i.e. when the clutch pedal is not being pressed down). However, when changing gear, that mechanical link is severed briefly, and the synchronization between the motor and wheels is broken. When upshifting during acceleration, this isn't much of an issue, as there's typically not a huge disparity between engine speed and wheel speed as a car accelerates. Rev-matching downshifts is the stuff they would teach at the automotive equivalent of the Shaolin Temple. But when slowing down and downshifting – as you might do when approaching a corner at a high rate of speed – that gap of time caused by the disengagement of the clutch from the engine causes the revs to drop. Without bringing up the revs somehow to help the engine speed match the wheel speed in the gear you're about to use, you'll typically get a sudden jolt when re-engaging the clutch as physics brings everything back into sync. That jolt can be a big problem when you're moving along swiftly, causing instability or even a loss of traction, particularly in rear-wheel-drive cars. So the point of rev matching is to blip the throttle simultaneously as you downshift gears in order to bring the engine speed to a closer match with the wheel speed before you re-engage the clutch in that lower gear, in turn providing a much smoother downshift. When braking is thrown in, you get heel-toe downshifting, which involves some dexterity to use all three pedals at the same time with just two feet – clutch in, slow the car while revving, clutch out. However, even if you're aware of heel-toe technique and the basic elements of how to perform a rev match, perfecting it to the point of making it useful can be difficult.
