Beautiful 1993 S 10 Blazer 4x4 with 4.3L V6, Automatic Transmission and 141K miles.  I have only owned it a few months and have to sell it since this is my second vehicle and I just won’t have space for it once I separate from the service.  I have put new premium spark plugs, bosch wires and a K&N lifetime air filter in it since I bought it. It have almost brand new Michelin Light Truck tires with maybe 1k miles on them and a full size spare that is great shape. The stereo is an aftermarket Sony AM/FM tuner with single CD player, the rest of the audio system in the car is stock.

Features

4.3L V6 Engine

Automatic Transmission

4 Wheel Drive (2 High, 4 High,  Neutral, and 4 Low) auto locking hubs

Power Windows and Locks (No keyless Entry)

Tilt Steering

Air Conditioning (still blows ice cold)

Seat belts for 5

Rear Windshield Wiper and defroster

Cruise Control

There are 2 dents in the truck, one in the driver door and one on the back gate where the spare tire latches. They are noticeable but neither of them are severe or impede the function/seal of the door etc.  There are 2 recent small stars in the windshield approximately pea sized. There is a small tear in one seam on the driver seat.  I recently repaired the headliner myself but it sags slightly (approx. 1/2 inch) between the front seats and the windshield, and the hinge for the center console is busted. I researched that hinge and there is an aftermarket one that is better designed that you can order for around $40

I live on aboard Camp Pendleton so if you do not have access to base I can easily meet you out in town.  This truck is in amazing shape for its age and you won’t find a better deal on a 4 wheel drive truck anywhere in California. I understand that i am a new Ebay user without much feedback so if there are any questions or concerns please contact me and I will do everything i can to ensure you feel comfortable with buying my truck.

This 93-car Iowa auction is like a Big 3 classic muscle museum

Tue, Aug 27 2019

Bill "Coyote" Johnson has been buying cars since high school and has amassed a collection totaling 113 vehicles, according to NBC 6 News. But time has changed his motivations and priorities, and he's decided to auction 93 of those cars, many of which are classic muscle from Ford, Chevrolet, Dodge, Plymouth and Pontiac. The megasale will take place Sept. 14, 2019, in Red Oak, Iowa, at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds. A 1969 Plymouth Road Runner infected Coyote with a love for Detroit muscle when he was just a teenager, and his desire quickly turned into an obsession. He's spent the past 40 years finding, buying and working on a variety of makes and models. Unlike some collectors, Coyote didn't discriminate against certain brands and has rides from each of the Big 3 automakers. Included in the auction are Camaros, Satellites, Super Bees, Chargers, Challengers, Barracudas, Coronets, GTOs, Mustangs, Cutlasses and others. Possibly the most intriguing aspect of the auction is that all of these cars will be sold as-is with no reserve. Many of them will need work, depending on quality standards, but this seems like a golden opportunity to find a classic car without leaving a bank account in shambles.  The auctions are open for bidding online now, and the full auction will take place on September 14. Check out the full listings and bid at VanDerBrink Auctions.

GM under fire from safety advocates over braking problem caused by recall fix

Thu, Feb 6 2020

Safety experts are lambasting General Motors over what they say is the automaker’s slow notification of owners of certain 2019 sedans and trucks that a recall fix could cause power braking to fail and increase the risk of a crash, the Detroit Free Press reports.  GMÂ’s original recall in December targeted about 550,000 Cadillac CT6 sedans and Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 pickups, all from the 2019 model year, over potentially defective electronic stability control and antilock brakes. In that case, GM said the errors would not show up as a diagnostic warning on the instrument cluster. But after GM had done recall work on 162,000 vehicles, about 1,700 owner have complained that their power brakes didnÂ’t work after they had the recall done and then used the OnStar app to start their vehicle. GM then issued a supplemental fix for customers whoÂ’d already had their vehicles serviced. In this case, a diagnostic warning should illuminate saying either “Service Brake Assist” or “Service ECS,” which GM says is a signal that a customer should not drive the vehicle and instead call their dealer, which will tow the vehicle and have it repaired. Safety advocates say the automaker hasnÂ’t gone far enough to protect customers. “The fact that you could potentially start a vehicle and not have brakes is a pretty risky proposition,” Sean Kane, president of the Safety Research and Strategies, which works on auto issues for plaintiffs and governmental organizations, told the Freep. “The fact that they wouldnÂ’t notify owners (sooner) is pretty stunning.” GM told the Freep it was required to notify the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and file paperwork before it notified customers about the original recall, which was made Dec. 12. It then had to investigate and resolve the problem created by its original recall fix before alerting customers. GMÂ’s call center and dealers are contacting the remaining 900 customers who havenÂ’t yet had the update made to the original recall repair. GM also hired a vendor to send recall letters to the 550,000 customers affected by the original recall notifying them about the update. There are no known injuries or deaths related to the problem. Read the Freep story here.
