1985 Chevrolet K5 Blazer 4X4

Silverado 70,590 Actual Miles

Hello out there in eBay land and welcome to my auction.  Those of you that follow my auctions know that I have a fondness for K5 Blazers and the one I offer today is the cream of the crop.  I look really hard for these rigs and am proud to say that I found one of the best out there to offer to the public today.  This is a fully documented totally original survivor Blazer.  The paint is original the interior is original..  Everything is correct that should be.  The stereo has been upgraded tastefully and sounds excellent and there is also an alarm, but that is it.

The previous owner of this K5 is the General Manager of a well-known and respected Chevrolet Dealer in my city and has owned and loved and serviced this vehicle to a very high standard.  This care is evident in detail of the vehicle.  It is 100% RUST FREE.  Not only is there no rust, but there are no repaired rust areas either.  Everything works properly.  Every light, gage, switch and option works exactly as it should.  The rear window operates from both the dash switch and the key and is problem free.  The A/C blows ice cold too.  The power windows and fast and seal perfectly.  The top has never been off as far as I can tell.  All the rubber seals are supple and accounted for.

The K5 starts easily and runs smoothly without and smoking or complaining ever.  It has lots of power when you ask for it too.  The transmission shifts perfectly.  Nothing leaks.  No oil leaks, no transmission leaks, no power steering leaks, no coolant leaks.  Everything is 100% up to snuff and serviced.  The Blazer needs nothing mechanically.

As I mentioned, the paint is original.  It shines well and has lived most of its life in a garage out of the elements.  The top edge of the tailgate has some discoloration and there are a few stone chips on the leading edge of the hood, but I would consider the finish to be as good as any could hope for.  Especially considering that it is 30 years old.  I tried to take the photographs in lots of different lighting conditions so you could get a really good look at it.

The interior is really gorgeous.  I mean it really looks like new in there.  I hope the pictures demonstrate how clean it is.  By the way, I did not even have to vacuum the Blazer..  It is and has always been this clean.  No smoking, no pets, no eating, I don’t think anyone ever sat in the back..  The dash has a couple of cracks which are typical and really the only flaws in an otherwise fantastically preserved vintage SUV.

The miles are actual and documented in the receipts and on Carfax too.  One look at this vehicle and any doubts will be put to rest.

I am sure I am forgetting lots of details, but I am not forgetting and problems because there are none.  Bid with confidence because even the biggest nitpicker will be happy with this K5..  I love it and so will you.

This Chevrolet has a ton of vintage appeal and will surely be one to hold on to for future appreciation.

I am selling the car with a LOW RESERVE and I know the K5 will sell the first go around as long as we all play by these rules.

#1.  Only bid if you have intentions to buy.

#2. Ask any and all questions before bidding.

#3. Please contact me BEFORE BIDDING if you have zero or negative feedback.

#4. This is an AS-IS sale.  I have done my best to describe it exactly as I see it but it has no warranties or guarantees.

#5. I will not accept Pay-Pal for the balance payment of the truck.  Pay-Pal is for the deposits only, the balance must be paid by certified check or wire.  Legitimate and legal buyers only please.

Just be real and genuine and I will make sure that the winning bidder is happy with his or her purchase.  I have 100% positive feedback and I plan on keeping that.  Also, I will end the sale for the right offer so don’t wait till the last second and worry about missing out.  Just call me and we will work out a fair price..

2016 Chevrolet Equinox gets styling tweaks, not much else

Thu, Feb 12 2015

The current Chevy Equinox debuted over five years ago, in late 2009. Since then, the midsize crossover segment has become increasingly important, with brand-new entries meeting substantially overhauled versions of existing nameplates. But the Equinox carried on, largely unchanged. And while Chevy is using its Chicago Auto Show stage to debut the freshened, 2016 Equinox, it appears there isn't a whole lot to talk about. Take a look at the updated Equinox's exterior and you're pretty much going to see all that's new for 2016. Sure, the Chevy still boasts a handsome, inoffensive design, and it's now upgraded with things like LED running lamps on top-level trims, as well as new 17- and 18-inch wheel designs, projector beam headlamps, and revised taillamp styling. Moving inside, Chevy has added a standard seven-inch color touchscreen to all models, which includes a backup camera. New-to-Equinox safety features like side cross traffic alert and side blind zone alert are also available for 2016. And really, that's about it. Powertrain options carry over from last year. On the base end, there's a 2.4-liter inline-four that's good for up to 32 miles per gallon on the highway (with front-wheel drive). Buyers can also opt for a 301-horsepower, 3.6-liter V6 that allows the Equinox to tow up to 3,500 pounds. Will this be enough to keep the Equinox fresh in its highly competitive class? In 2014, the Equinox did outsell lower-volume competitors like the Mazda CX-5 and Subaru Forester, but was bested by fresher offerings like the Ford Escape, Honda CR-V, and Toyota RAV4. Have a look at all there is to know about the 2016 Equinox in the press blast below. We'll have live images and more impressions direct from the Chicago show floor, soon. Fresh Face: Chevrolet Introduces Restyled 2016 Equinox Premium cues, new safety features enhance Chevy's record-selling compact SUV CHICAGO – Chevrolet today introduced the 2016 Equinox – a contemporized version of the popular compact SUV. Updates include new styling with premium accents, new wheel designs and new available safety features, as well as a larger color touchscreen radio and a standard rear-vision camera for entry-level models.

2016 Chevy Cruze is lighter, loaded [UPDATE]

Thu, Jun 25 2015

UPDATE: Live photos and video of the reveal have been added at the end of the story. Chevrolet revealed the second-generation Cruze Wednesday, promising a larger, more efficient car that drives better than the sedan it replaces. We're particularly excited about the new turbocharged, 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine, which makes 153 horsepower, an upgrade from the outgoing 1.8-liter naturally aspirated engine's 138 hp. Torque climbs even more significantly, from 148 pound-feet to 177 in the new mill. Peak twist can be called up between 2,000 and 4,000 rpm, which should make performance easy to access. Combined with a lighter architecture that slashes the Cruze's curb weight by 250 pounds (although the actual curb weight hasn't been released), the new four-door can hit 60 miles per hour in a respectable eight seconds. That's not hot hatchback territory, but it should be more than suitable for the average consumer. That same consumer should also appreciate the new engine's economy. The Cruze now returns an even 40 miles per gallon on the highway and will cover 530 miles on a single tank, all the while running on plain old 87-octane fuel. There's also a diesel-powered Cruze model, although Chevy didn't release specific details, aside from saying that it will arrive in dealers in 2017, over a year after the gas-powered model's early 2016 on-sale date. Despite the 250-pound drop in weight, the new Cruze has grown significantly. Its wheelbase is now the longest in the segment, with 106.3 inches of sheetmetal between the front and rear axles compared to 105.7 in last year's model, while the sleek new body cuts the coefficient of drag to just 0.29. The overall length increases from 181 inches to 183.7, though the new model is nearly an inch lower overall. That's both good news and bad news for interior space. Rear legroom is up from 35.4 to 36.1, but headroom is down in both the front and backseats by over half an inch. Tech fans, meanwhile, will appreciate the new standard MyLink display. The seven-inch touchscreen is compatible with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, while an optional eight-inch display will be offered, as well. 4G LTE wi-fi, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, and wireless phone charging will also be offered as an optional extras. New safety features include blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert, lane keeping assist, and forward collision warning.

Helicopter crashes on Top Gear Korea set while chasing Corvette ZR1

Mon, 11 Feb 2013

The formula of Top Gear Korea is seemingly about the same as it is everywhere else in the world, including the flagship British original: involve interesting cars in fantastical situations with charismatic hosts. That prescription has proved to be pretty reliable over the years, and has lead to some truly memorable and exciting pieces of television.
Something like that was undoubtedly what the Korean producers were after when they lined up this segment - a drag race between a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and an AH1 Cobra military helicopter. The planners almost certainly did not expect the filming of the segment to go quite as wrong as it actually did, with the helicopter actually crashing into the dirt after the "drag race" had been completed. Thankfully, we're told that no one was seriously injured in the crash, but the footage, in the video below, is pretty damn chilling to watch, nevertheless.
