1973 Chevrolet Blazer K5 4x4 Very Clean And Straight Metal 105k Miles No Rust on 2040-cars

THE PICTURES SHOWN WERE TAKEN PRIOR TO THE PURCHASE OF THE NEW TIRES AND LIFT.  ALSO, THE INTERIOR PICTURES SHOW AN AFTER MARKET CONSOLE.  IN APRIL 2014, I PURCHASED AN ORIGINAL CONSOLE WITH THE ORIGINAL CHEVY EMBLEM FOR THE CONSOLE.

THIS CALIFORNIA NATIVE CHEVY CHEYENNE 4X4 BLAZER IS IN SUPER CONDITION AND IS SUPER ORIGINAL LOOKING. GOOD LUCK FINDING ANOTHER ONE IN THIS CONDITION. THIS BLAZER SPENT ITS LIFE IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA AND WAS GARAGED. THE ORIGINAL OWNER KEPT THIS BLAZER UNTIL 2012.  THE PREVIOUS SELLER STATED THIS BLAZER WAS ONLY USED AS A RECREATIONAL VEHICLE. THIS BLAZER IS LOADED WITH OPTIONS FROM THE FACTORY SUCH AS AIR CONDITION, CHEYENNE EQUIPPED, BODY SIDE MOLDINGS UPPER AND LOWER, SKID PLATES AND FUEL TANK SHIELD, HD FRONT STABILIZER, 30 GAL FUEL TANK, FRONT AND REAR CHROME BUMPERS, 350 V8 MOTOR, HD TURBO 350 HYDRA-MATIC, POSI REAR AXLE, OPTIONAL AXLE RATIO, POWER STEERING, FRONT POWER DISC BRAKES.

THE BODY AND PAINT- The body on this Blazer is in super condition with factory floor pans and kick panels have never been patched or tampered with. The original tunnel and fire wall is in great condition and has not been cut up or beat on and the original paint on the fire wall looks great along with the original chalk marks from the factory. The quarter panels are original to the blazer and are in great condition with out dents or waves and they are bondo fee. Both the original doors are super solid, rust free, not dented or wavy, both doors shut solid and are in great condition.  Both the original front fenders are also in great condition, rust free, and not dented or wavy they are also bondo free. The original GM inner and outer rocker panels are rust free, in excellent condition and are also bondo free. The body lines and gaps are what you would get when it was new at a GM lot. The windshield pillars and upper windshield area both out side and inside are rust free and are in excellent condition. The original GM hood still has the original chalk marks on it with the date code it is in good condition, lines up nicely with the fenders, and is not bowed. The bottom side of this blazer is not rusty or full of under coating.  By viewing the underneath of this blazer, it is apparent considering the amount it was used its clean for being original. This blazer has all its original GM panels and this blazer is free of body fillers and rust. The removable top on this blazer is in super condition and is clean inside and out. it is not chipped. Overall the body on this blazer is in great condition and by walking around this blazer you won't find any rock chips, door dings or scratches. The original color is Spanish gold with a white top and the paint is a respectful older base clear repaint.  It is apparent that after the paint work was completed the blazer was garaged and was not used much. The details inside and out on this blazer are impressive.

1. THE INTERIOR- The inside is in like new condition the original style saddle front and back seats are in like new condition they look great. The carpet is also in like new condition and is clean. The instrument are nice and bright and all the wood grain is in good condition. The dash pad is in super condition with no cracks or blisters. The door panels are in nice condition for being original. The sun visors are in nice condition and the inside of the white top is super clean. The original steering wheel is in nice condition and the steering column is nice and tight. the original radio is intact but is not working. there are no added speaker holes inside this blazer. Overall the inside of this blazer is very impressive and is super clean looking.

2. THE BRIGHT WORK- The quarter panel Cheyenne emblem and the K5 Blazer emblem on the fender’s look super for being original. The front and rear bumpers, side mirrors, the door handles, and the rest of the outer bright work is all in great condition and is not dented up or scratched up.

3. THE FELTS AND RUBBERS- The felts and rubbers are all in good condition and most all of them look new.

4. THE MOTOR- The motor is the original 350 small block with 105,912 original miles as per the original owner.   All the factory equipment is still under the hood. This 350 has good power and is super dependable.

5. THE TRANNY - The trans is a turbo 350 that is in good working order. The rear end is original with factory posi. When you drop this truck in to gear there is no universal joint clunks or noises. The transfer case is also original and is in good working order.  The transfer case is full-time four wheel drive and works great.

6. THE AC - The air conditioning is all intact and is charged but the clutch on the pump will need to be replaced.

7. THE TIRES - The tires are BRAND NEW 33”x 12.50X 15” BF Goodrich All-terrains and are the perfect size to make the Blazer still look stock but appear a more proportionate. I purchased them April 2014 and they have about 20 Miles of driving time. These tires are mounted to factory 15” rally rims with the stock rings and center caps which are in super condition.  The spare rim is also a rally wheel but does not come with a tire.

8. THE ELECTRICAL - equipped with the factory original head lights all the original electrical in this truck is in good working order including all the outside lights, all the interior lights, most dash instruments, horn, blinkers, heater blower and controls.

9. KNOWN ISSUES:  Even after 41 years there are only a few minor issues to note. The air conditioning is not working at this time and I am not sure why. Living in Southern California, I never use the AC anyway so I have not had it fixed. The gas gauge is not accurate and the drive indicator needle is not operating -- both of which are totally common for the older Blazers.  They are cheap, easy fixes though.  The tranny and transfer case gadgets need replacing as I see immaterial drops of fluid leaking.  Again, a cheap fix.  The aftermarket cruise control is inoperative.  I have not had it fixed because I would never use it.  The original AM radio is intact but not working.  I have the original rearview mirror but it is not installed.  I wanted to replace it since the mirror is old and not longer very useful as would be expected after 41 years.
