This is a very original, documented car that goes The car was always garaged until the old man died and the car went to his son. The son had the car and wasnt interested i it anymore and finally decided to sale. He drove the car back in the 70s to college. The spare tire well has some rust but the rest of the car is SOLID.      This 54 chevy will make a family happy for years to come. They can cruz the family around and not have to do anything to the car.  I have lots of documentation on the car as far back as 1957. There are lots and lots of receipts on the car from tire changes to tune ups. I also have many registrations from 1957 until now. I also have a book from every fel up to oil changes on the car..Shows the gallons and price, and where they purchased. The car was always garaged and still is today. The son drove the car to college at Sonoma State back in 1970-74. After college the car went back home to his father. It stayed there until 12011. His father died and the son got the car back. I tried for over a year to purchase the car. After purchasing the car back in March, I brought it home and went through making it reliable again. I installled new fuel pump, fuel lines, vac lines and filters. I installed new www tires from coker tires.. The car is still 6 volts and starts right up. Gas tank cleaned and new 6 volt battery. I do have a new carb that can also go with the sale if the car does sale. The rubber mat was in need of replacement so it was removed. Everything on the car works except the radio..I havent even looked into it but Im sure it minor. I just registered the car and have new title in hand.
The color is pueblo tan and still looks great..If someone buffed the car out it would look even better.

The car does have a dent in the right grill extension and passinger fender trim where the mother got into the garage door frame. Not too bad can be fixed or replaced with new ones..The floors are solid along with the rest of the car.. Bid to purchase... PLEASE NO EMAILS ON TRADES..  ALSO CASH IN PERSON/PICKUP OR CASHIERS CHECK/MONEY ORDERS.. THANK YOU..

Recharge Wrap-up: Toyota FCV Rally Car To Compete, Barra bullish on Chevy Volt

Fri, Oct 31 2014

The Toyota FCV will compete in the last stage of the 2014 Japanese Rally Championship. The sport-tuned hydrogen-powered car will tackle the 177-mile Shinshiro Rally on November 1 and 2, emitting no greenhouse gases in the process. The rally course will help prove the safety of the vehicle before it goes on sale in Japan in the next several months. The Toyota FCV, rumored to be called "Mirai" in Japan, will begin sales there before April, according to Toyota, and in the summer in the US and Europe. Read more in the press release below. Carsharing is becoming more popular, and more visible, throughout the world, including the US. According to WardsAuto columnist John McElroy, 18 percent of US drivers have used some sort of carsharing service. Additionally, he says 60 percent of Americans are familiar with Zipcar and Uber. Mercedes' Harald Kroeger says promotions like free parking for carshares in Stuttgart are encouraging growth for Daimler's carsharing service, Car2go. Read more at WardsAuto. Ethanol is being help up by rail transport, according to ethanol producer Green Plains. More and more stations are carrying E15 blend gasoline, but grain producers have complained that crude oil is given higher priority by the rail lines shipping it, which rail companies deny. Union Pacific and BNSF Railway say they are stepping up service to make sure that ethanol can be shipped reliably to customers. Read more at Omaha World-Herald. General Motors "has placed a significant bet [on] the electrification of the automobile," says CEO Mary Barra. In a speech to the Detroit Economic Club this week, she spoke about the Chevrolet Volt, and its importance to GM's future. While Barra admits the Volt's success has been "not everything we wanted," it has provided experience, and shows that EVs have "an important role in the future of GM." The new Volt is more refined, stores more energy, has longer range, uses less fuel and is a big investment for Michigan. She announced that the new Volt's electric drive system will be built in Warren, and that all of its major components will be made in Michigan. "Silicon Valley doesn't have a corner on the market for innovation, creativity and drive," says Barra. "These qualities exist here – in this region – as well." AMC Trans Am Javelin SST, an ultra-rare underdog, is up for auction

Sat, Sep 9 2023

Among the rarest of the American muscle cars that went racing in the early Seventies — cars including the Camaro Z/28 and the Boss 302 Mustang — the 1970 AMC Trans Am Javelin SST may be the most hard to find, and among the most valuable. Only 100 units of this unique Javelin were produced, and one of them is up for auction at the Mecum event in Dallas on September 20. The Trans Am Javelin was fashioned in a patriotic livery of tricolor paint — red, white and blue — and arrived after the American Motors Corporation had decided in 1968 to compete in the Trans Am racing series against Ford and General Motors. The company's chief driver, Mark Donohue, would dominate the 1971 season, taking seven wins in his Javelin AMX and that yearÂ’s SCCA Trans-Am Championship. AMC took the trophy with 82 points, well ahead of Ford's 61, Chevrolet's 17 and Pontiac's paltry 7. The example listed for auction came equipped with a 390-cubic-inch V-8 engine with 325 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 420 pound-feet of torque, power steering and brakes, dual exhaust, BorgWarner four-speed manual transmission and Hurst competition shifter. Its “ram induction system” sealed a chamber around the air filter so that cool air from the functional hood scoop would be funneled into the intake. This JavÂ’s factory price was $3,995 — a mere $32,000 or so in today's money, though it was expensive by the standards of the time. The 100 Trans Ams were among 19,714 Javelin units built in 1970, so they started out rare, and today the surviving examples are highly collectible, if and when they come up for sale. No bid estimate is available yet. Related Video: Motorsports Chevrolet Ford Pontiac Auctions Automotive History Racing Vehicles Classics
