For sale is a 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche truck. This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION and will sell to the highest bidder!!!

On to the truck: It is silver in color with gray interior. Car has 143,209 miles on it (mostly highway miles) and in decent shape. truck is an automatic and runs perfectly with no issues.. a/c is very cold and heat blows hot. All warning lights come on and go off like they should.

The good: Chevy Avalanche is in nice shape and has options which include:  Alloy wheels, Tint, Fog Lamps, Class 3 Hitch, 5.3 liter V8, Steering wheel Controls, Removable Tonneau Cover, Side bed tool storage, Rubber Bed Mat, AM/FM CD Player, Dual airbags, All Power, Power Windows, Power locks, keyless Entry w/ alarm and Compass.

The bad: Car has a light scuff on back corner of bumper (see pic) a few light rock chips on hood and one small dent, center armrest has some wear, other than that she's in nice shape.  Alloy wheels are in decent shape and have brand new tires on them not even 2 months old!! Tires are all matching and have near 100 percent and are Good Year Wrangler RT/S 265 70 R16. Also brand new shocks all the way around. I have always stayed on top of oil changes and any services too.

Has never been in any accidents that I am aware off and paint is nice and shiny. All glass is good, Interior shows well too but does have a couple marks here and there like to be expected with a used truck.

Spare wheel has never been used.   Would also like to disclose this is a used truck and normal wear and tear should be expected, I would give it a 8.5 out of 10 but do understand some peoples opinions of  poor, fair, excellent, etc varies so would recommend a quick look prior to bidding

Hope I have included everything, if I have missed anything please look at picture's, (I've uploaded 24 pictures to see) for further details, or message me.  Avalanche is now paid for and I have the title for it in my company name as insurance was cheaper. Once again this is a NO RESERVE AUCTION.

I ask winning bidder pays $500 deposit within 24 hours of auctions end and the balance within 7 days.  I can pick up at the local airport (Tampa or St Pete) if this helps or can help assist in shipping. Please have all funds ready meaning ask your wife, your mother, your bank etc to make sure so nobody's time is wasted this would be greatly appreciated.

GM to idle Indiana truck plant for two weeks over chip shortage

Fri, Mar 25 2022

WASHINGTON —General Motors said Friday it will idle for two weeks in April an assembly plant in Indiana that builds pickup trucks, over ongoing semiconductor chip shortages. The Detroit automaker said it will halt production at its Fort Wayne assembly plant, which builds the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500, for two weeks starting April 4. "There is still uncertainty and unpredictability in the semiconductor supply base, and we are actively working with our suppliers to mitigate potential issues moving forward," GM said Friday. The automaker said this is its first semiconductor-related full-size truck production downtime since August. GM noted that overall it has "seen better consistency in semiconductor supply through the first quarter compared to last year as a whole. This has translated into improvement in our production and deliveries during the first three months of the year." GM Chief Executive Officer Mary Barra met with some lawmakers on Capitol Hill this week, including Republican Senator Todd Young of Indiana. GM is backing a bill in Congress to provide $52 billion in government subsidies to boost U.S. semiconductor manufacturing. GM said that legislation could help "alleviate the ongoing shortage that continues to impact U.S. automotive manufacturing." (Reporting by David Shepardson; editing by Jonathan Oatis) Related video:

Supercharged 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06 takes the C7 beyond the ZR1

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

The Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
After a bright-yellow false start, here is the real thing: the fourth-generation, 2015 Corvette Z06. If Chevrolet makes a ZR1 version of the C7 Corvette, it's going to be absolutely mega, because the Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.

IIHS: High numbers of drivers treat partially automated cars as fully self-driving

Tue, Oct 11 2022

WASHINGTON — Drivers using advanced driver assistance systems like Tesla Autopilot or General Motors Super Cruise often treat their vehicles as fully self-driving despite warnings, a new study has found. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), an industry funded group that prods automakers to make safer vehicles, said on Tuesday a survey found regular users of Super Cruise, Nissan/Infiniti ProPILOT Assist and Tesla Autopilot "said they were more likely to perform non-driving-related activities like eating or texting while using their partial automation systems than while driving unassisted." The IIHS study of 600 active users found 53% of Super Cruise, 42% of Autopilot and 12% of ProPILOT Assist owners "said that they were comfortable treating their vehicles as fully self-driving." About 40% of users of Autopilot and Super Cruise — two systems with lockout features for failing to pay attention — reported systems had at some point switched off while they were driving and would not reactivate. "The big-picture message here is that the early adopters of these systems still have a poor understanding of the technologyÂ’s limits," said IIHS President David Harkey. The study comes as the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is scrutinizing Autopilot crashes. Since 2016, the NHTSA has opened 37 special investigations involving 18 deaths in crashes involving Tesla vehicles and where systems like Autopilot were suspected of use. Tesla did not respond to requests for comment. Tesla says Autopilot does not make vehicles autonomous and is intended for use with a fully attentive driver who is prepared to take over. GM, which in August said owners could use Super Cruise on 400,000 miles (643,740 km) of North American roads and plans to offer Super Cruise on 22 models by the end of 2023, did not immediately comment. IIHS said advertisements for Super Cruise focus on hands-free capabilities while Autopilot evokes the name used in passenger airplanes and "implies TeslaÂ’s system is more capable than it really is." IIHS in contrast noted ProPILOT Assist "suggests that itÂ’s an assistance feature, rather than a replacement for the driver." NHTSA and automakers say none of the systems make vehicles autonomous. Nissan said its name "is clearly communicating ProPILOT Assist as a system to aid the driver, and it requires hands-on operation.
