1955 Chevrolet Bel-Air Convertible. SPECTACULAR! See VIDEO.

1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible.

Offered on behalf of the owner by Charvet Classic Cars.

This original '55 Bel-Air Convertible received a full down-to-the-frame restoration by nationally-known, multiple award-winning Tri-5 Chevrolet restorer, DON WALTER of Damascus, Oregon. No expense was spared to make this car the best of both worlds: one that can be shown anywhere and also go anywhere.

Body: After Don located a solid, rust-free original car in South Dakota, it was transported to Oregon where it was stripped to bare metal and painted by DICK BELZ of Rodder's Dreams in Redmond, Oregon. The paint is base-coat/clear-coat in correct Gypsy Red and Shoreline Beige colors. Body and paint work alone were in excess of $20,000.00. All chrome and trim was replated and polished to show quality. New convertible top with all hydraulics rebuilt and working properly. Please see photos.

Mechanicals: Engine is a built 283 Stroker V8 with early Chevrolet "Fuelie" Heads. 202/161 valves. Intake is from a 340 HP Corvette. Edelbrock 750 carburetor. Don estimates the output of this engine is in excess of 400 horsepower. "Fast and loud" when wanted! Exhaust breathes through 2-1/2" dual exhaust pipes. Cooled by a custom aluminum radiator. Turbo 350 automatic transmission with 3.36:1 rear end ratio. 605 power steering. 605 power brakes. New, correct wiring harness. Fully rebuilt front suspension. Goodyear radial tires all around. Limited use since completion.

Interior: Fully restored, correct interior showing no wear and in new condition. Tinted glass. Restored Wonder Bar Radio. Dual side mirrors, Chrome emergency brake handle. Day/Night rear view mirror. 2-speed electric windshield wipers. Seat belts.

(Note: A 2004 H&H 22 foot Custom Enclosed Tandem-Axle Show Car Trailer is also available. Bumper-pull. With reinforced roof for seating above the crowds. Front roof ladder. Rear loading ramp door and side access door. Excellent condition. See last photo. Will be made available at a special price for the buyer of the car.)

If you are looking for one of the finest 1955 Chevrolets available today, built by a nationally-known, award-winning restorer, this is it. Needs nothing. Drive anywhere with confidence.

Note: NADA Price Guide shows this car at a current value of $95,700. This is your opportunity to purchase at a substantial discount and without any auction buyer's premium added. A realistic "Buy It Now" price has been placed on the car in keeping with its condition and quality of restoration. It could not be restored today for the asking price.
