The Classic Car Gallery is proud to present this MODIFIED 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII RS. This Evo has been built to the highest standards and capable of producing upwards of 680 awhp!!! All work was performed by The Shop in Norwalk, CT well known for their work with Mitsubishi Evolutions. THE BUILD HAS LESS THEN 1000 BREAK-IN MILES, AND SHE HAS BEEN ADULT DRIVEN. Her motor was completely rebuilt from the bottom end up using a 2.3L BUSCHUR Racing stroker kit. Her engine was mated to a T3 Tubular manifold and a GARRETT GT35r Ball Bearing turbo. A 44mm TiAL wastegate that is vented to atmosphere accompanies the manifold and a 3’’ catless downpipe with HKS muffler gives this EVO an aggressive exhaust note, on or off boost. A set of BUSCHUR racing cams are used to help spin the GT35r to over 30psi of boost. The intake fuel charge is cooled with an Aquamist HFS methanol injection system with failsafe. She breaths through a magnus intake manifold, large 4’’ core front mount intercooler and a DEJON short ram intake. She is fueled with the help of an AMS high flow aluminium fuel rail matched to four PRECISION TURBO Turbo injectors and a HKS Twin Power ignition system aids in spark. She is kept nice and cool with an all-aluminum Koyorad radiator and dual pusher and puller electric fans. Engine management is controlled by an AEM Stand alone, arguably the best available, most versatile and widely used aftermarket management system. She spent a few hours on the dyno getting tuned but some more time will need to be spent to adjust part-throttle, idle and clean up spots that are a little on the lean side. Currently she is tuned on the conservative side and ready for the next owner to crank up the boost and put in the dyno time. She stops just as good as she goes with the aid of a WILLWOOD 4 piston and floating rotor big brake kit. The suspension has been revised with stiffer bushings throughout and a set of TIEN Coilovers. A fully custom half front and rear roll cage and belt bar has been fitted which adds chassis stiffness, rigidity and safety without sacrificing comfort. G force pro series 5 point driver and passenger harnesses in blue have been outfitted in the car to provide an additional safety while on the street or track. A Personal removable hub racing steering wheel ads to the racecar feel. Traction is nearly limitless with the aid of MICKEY THOMPSON ET Street Drag Radials in 255/50/16 with very little wear. Her cockpit is adorned with the finest instrumentation including a DEFI Boost and Voltmeter Gauge, an AEM UEGO wideband Air/Fuel ratio gauge, shift light, AQUAMIST level and flow indicator, and EBOOST 2 gauge and controller. This Evo was built by the best using the best parts in the industry and with an open checkbook; the build quality and R&D involved are second to none. Adult driven, shop built cars of this caliber that were never raced or abused are rare, and this one can be owned for a fraction of the build cost. Sold with a clean carfax and a 33k mile chassis that still wears all of its original paint, this Evo VIII is sure to please. Please understand that this car is surely not for the faint of heart and is most certainly not a toy, it is a carefully engineered track or street WEAPON that can be driven to the track and back home.
