This spectacular, #’s matching Charger R/T has been treated to a nut & bolt, rotisserie restoration. It is an authentic, all #’s matching car with factory 4-speed transmission; a VERY HARD combination to find. If you are a purist and demand that your Charger be 100% stock and have 1969 air still in the 45 year old tires (a car that can’t be driven), this is NOT your car. While this example is absolutely investment grade because it is #’s matching and is also a factory 4-speed car instead of an automatic car converted to a 4-speed (like so many of the few remaining 4-speed Charger R/T’s are), it has been mildly and tastefully modified for a higher level of performance while retaining a mostly stock appearance. The exterior of the car, save for the show quality, mirror finish base coat/clear coat paint on laser straight body panels, appears 100% stock. The #’s matching and still stock appearing 440 Magnum engine has been bored and stroked to 493 cubic inches for significantly increased horsepower and torque without drastically altering the drivability of the stock configuration. The original 906 casting cylinder heads were ported and polished by Dwayne Porter and at that time, hardened valve seats (for today’s unleaded fuels) were installed along with 2.14 intake and 1.88 exhaust valves to better handle the increased breathing ability that the additional displacement provides. A new Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold, Holley 850 cfm carburetor and high-flow K&N air filter handle the mixing chores for the massive 493 cid RB block. (A brand new, stock air cleaner with the correct 440 Magnum “pie pan” can be substituted, if you wish.) The stock, original high flow Magnum exhaust manifolds (one of the best flowing factory manifolds ever designed) expel the burnt fumes into a 3” exhaust system with H-pipe, Walker Dynomax mufflers and stock appearing tailpipes with correct chromed extensions. A brand new clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing and even a brand new flywheel were installed to harness the beast and efficiently send the power to the rebuilt original Dana 60. Moser axles were installed to insure reliability with the increased power and the 4.10 Sure-Grip rear ensures that this car will keep you grinning from ear to ear. The #’s matching 4-Speed transmission has also been rebuilt, as has the stock original Hurst shifter.

When a car’s acceleration has been significantly improved (and 440 cid Chargers with 4-speed transmissions were no slouches to begin with), one must also increase the handling and stopping capabilities to ensure safety and reliability. Willwood front disc brakes with slotted rotors and new calipers have been added to slow the black beauty down quickly and effectively. Subframe connectors protect the unibody’s structural integrity from the 493’s mountainous torque. New leaf springs, new bushings, new QA1 shocks, new fuel tank, new fuel pickup and sending unit, new fuel pump, new fuel lines, new alternator, new fan clutch, new firm feel power steering box and Dynamat insulation have all been incorporated into this impressive build. The original heavy-duty radiator has been recored and has a new fan clutch as well. There are no drivability issues (no overheating, no driveline lash, etc.) and the car sounds and behaves amazingly stock while cruising but now packs a punch that will have any Hemi powered car I have ever driven cowering for cover. Estimated horsepower by my seat of the pants dynamometer is well in excess of 500 horsepower; perhaps 550 hp! My dad always said, “speak softly and carry a big stick.” Nuff said. Stock looks, big-time power!

This spectacular, show quality Mopar is the ultimate sleeper, all wrapped up in the rarity and beauty of what is perhaps the BEST looking musclecar EVER produced, the 1969 Dodge Charger R/T. It is deceptively stock looking (except the paint looks like a mirror) and is a blue chip investment. This car has it all! Looks, power, quality build, rarity and huge investment potential with the numbers matching drivetrain.

$69,990 is my Buy-It Now price and that, once again, includes a 1 year/12,000 mile powertrain warranty and free enclosed shipping to U.S. residents within the lower 48 states! Go ahead; treat yourself to this fabulous and extremely rare Charger R/T by hitting the “Buy-It-Now” button right now! You will not be disappointed. Don’t hesitate, or it will be gone. Please, serious inquiries only. Thanks for looking!
