I purchased this car approximately 10 years ago after an extensive search for an original Kingswood wagon. It was in the same Nebraska family since new and the day after I purchased it, my 70 year old mother and I drove it the approximately 950 miles home.

This is probably the most reliable classic car I have ever owned. It is one that can sit for days or months and still fires right up. The drivetrain is completely original with a 400 CI small block engine and turbo transmission. It starts and runs great, shifts smoothly and easily cruises along a 70 mph. The factory air conditioning has blown cold since the day I bought it, but this spring feels a little weak so probably needs a charge. There are some signs of wear on the interior like some cracking in the drivers seat and worn carpet on the passenger side from a long ago heater core leak that were there when I bought it. The dash, 2nd and 3rd row seats, door panels, rear carpet, and headliner remain in great condition. The exterior Autumn Gold paint shines well. The woodgrain is completely original with a ding here and there from 44 years of driving and there is also a place on the rear bumper and drivers quarter where a 20 year old kid ran into me at a stoplight when he was late for work. It doesn't affect the tailgate operation and I just never got it fixed.

Overall, I just can't stress how well this wagon has been maintained over the years. It's only really been in the past decade years that wagons have become desirable collector cars and so many of these big bodies were sacrificed to the junkyard or demolition derby that original ones are tough to find. This is a fine example of a family cruiser that I would not hesitate to drive anywhere!

Please take the time to study the photos below to verify this wagon's condition. I welcome any and all questions about this wagon and current condition.
