Up for auction is a 1962 Pontiac Bonneville 2-dr Sport Coupe. This car was built at the Doraville, GA plant and the car has always lived in Georgia and South Carolina. It is a “true” Southern Car with a good solid body and the car runs and drives excellent… drive it anywhere!

The paint is slick and the body is nice and straight as you can see from the many pictures. The glass is excellent and all of the chrome and trim is excellent as well with the exception of the rear tail light bezels which are pitted. I will show that in the pictures also. The fit of the all original body panels and the finish on the car is real nice. It has fresh radial tires with new center caps and rings on restored wheels. The car looks as nice (probably nicer) in person than in the pictures.

The interior is the original with the exception of an insert on the driver’s side bottom portion of the seat which was replaced a couple years ago. It still has the original long floor mats front and rear and the original AM radio that comes on but doesn’t really pick up any stations at my house. All of the gauges work. The passenger side sun visor bracket is broken but I do have the original visor in good condition. Overall I would rate the interior good for being original. It does not have AC.

The engine is the original 389c.i. V8 and with the very rare 3-Speed column shift HD transmission. The car is absolutely fun and a real pleasure to drive with that column shifter. There are many people that have never even experienced a column shift and I love them! The motor was rebuilt a few years ago and the speedometer was reset and now shows 7,876 miles which is since the rebuild. The engine runs excellent, smooth, and strong. I wouldn’t hesitate to drive this car across the country right now. It is dependable. The upgrades under the hood include an aluminum radiator and custom shroud and an Edelbrock 600cfm carburetor (electric choke)…

The underside is solid with original dealer undercoat. It does have a newer aluminum gas tank, newer aluminum dual exhaust with Flow Master Mufflers (sounds great), and newer tie rod ends and maintenance parts as were needed.

This is a real good car. You can drive it home and/or anywhere. You can drive it every day or a weekend cruiser.

I can pick you up at the Augusta, GA airport on almost any day except Sunday.
