Vehicle Description

Hello and thank you for looking at my auction.  My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers.  Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase.  I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives.  Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic.  Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability.  Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid.  An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.

Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GT sedan.  The Grand Prix is an excellent full sized sedan that offers great styling and the reliability and performance of the optional 3800 V6 engine.  I would rate the exterior of this Grand Prix to be in BELOW AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle.  As you can see when you look closely, there are spots on the top of both front fenders as well as the area above the left rear wheel where the clear coat has peeled away and the paint is faded.  Other than a few cosmetic imperfections, this is a good looking sedan.  It is finished in a nice burgundy with optional chrome wheels.  The body is nice and straight.  Everything lines up properly and all of the original VIN tags are intact.  The "GT" package adds more aggressive body styling, a rear spoiler and dual exhaust in addition to the sport wheels and desirable 3.8L V6 engine.  All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact.  The optioanl alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with good tread all around.

I would rate the interior of this Pontiac Grand Prix to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage of this vehicle.  As you can see, the interior is extremely clean.  The only bad thing I can say about the inside is a missing knob from one of the climate control dials which can be found on eBay for like $10.  The door panels are clean and tight.  The carpets are extremely clean and show very well.  The cloth sport seats are also in great condition.  The inside of this Pontiac still smells new.  The dash and headliner are clean.  The power windows, locks and mirrors all work properly.  The stereo is the original Premium Sound with in dash CD and steering wheel audio controls.  The climate control system is also original and appears to be working properly.  It offers independent settings for the driver and passenger.  The trunk is spacious and clean.  This vehicle is also OnStar equipped should you wish to subscribe to their service.

Mechanically, this Pontiac appears to be in good running and driving condition.  The 3.8L V6 engine starts easily and runs smoothly.  I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke.  The 3800 engine is the best front wheel drive engine used by General Motors, in my opinion.  It is actually an old AMC engine design that was never used.  In the mid 80's, GM was looking for a front wheel drive V6 engine and realized that they already had one designed that was never used.  Soon, the 3800 V6 found its way into nearly every mid-full sized sedan and FWD van produced by General Motors.  The 3800 V6 has had a production life of over 20 years and is a tried and true engine.  This one is no exception.  It idles smoothly and makes great power.  She keeps perfect temperature, too.  The suspension feels tight.  The steering feels neutral and responsive.  The brakes stop this full sized sedan with no issues.  The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly.  Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints.  If you want a car with a nearly indestructible engine that is fun to drive and is good on gas, any GM car with the 3800 engine should be at the top of your list.  My mother purchased a Buick Regal (sister car to the Grand Prix) with the 3800 engine and proceeded to own it for 16 years and 160k miles with nothing but oil changes, tires and brakes in the entire time she owned it.  Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.

It is the responsibility of the buyer to have satisfied himself or herself as to the condition and value of the vehicle and to bid based upon that judgement solely. About Us

We offer a unique way of purchasing a vehicle. We sell vehicles to the public with No Reserve auction pricing. Most of the vehicles we sell are trade-ins at new car dealerships or high volume used dealerships in the area. We get a lot of interesting, unique vehicles and many that have minor flaws. We give every vehicle a thorough test drive and a visual inspection and describe what we see and feel to you in our descriptions. We try to provide as thorough and accurate a description as possible as well as including 40-60 photos. Understand however, that we are not professional mechanics and cannot predict the future.

There is additional risk in purchasing a vehicle this way versus buying a vehicle from a retail dealership that has been fully serviced and has a warranty. You will pay considerably less this way, but understand our vehicles are sold AS-IS and do not carry any sort of warranty.

We have sold literally hundreds of vehicles on eBay, No Reserve, to happy new owners and we aim to continue to do so. We are very proud of our feedback score and our many repeat buyers. If you have any questions about how we sell, our policies, or questions about a specific vehicle, please send us a message.

Terms & Conditions

If you wish to contact us for any reason, the quickest and best way to do so is through eBay's message system, AKA "Ask Seller a Question". Messages left on the office voicemail may take several days to get to the right person or get lost.

Bidding:

Please read the entire description and view all pictures before placing a bid. We go out of our way to provide as detailed of a description as possible as well as posting 40-60 photos of each vehicle. If you have any questions feel free to send us an email using the "Ask seller a Question" link so that we can answer your question. Please wait to place your bid until you are completely comfortable.

By placing a bid on our auction, you assert that you have read and agree to our Terms & Conditions as well as eBay's Terms & Conditions; you assert that you understand the risks of purchasing a used vehicle; and you assert that you have asked all questions PRIOR to placing your bid. Additionally, you enter into a binding contract to purchase the item they are bidding on should you be the winning bidder.

In the event of any bid retraction or bid change, it shall be the right of the seller to honor or not honor the outcome of the auction. This decision will be made at the sole discretion of the seller and can be made at any time, while the auction is live or after the auction closes. The seller may, at its sole discretion, cancel any bid or restrict any member from bidding on this or future auctions.

Winning Bidders:

Winning bidders are required to contact us via eBay Message within 48 hours of auction close and make arrangements for payment and vehicle pick-up. Please do not leave a voicemail on the office phone.

Full payment is due within 7 day of the auction's end. The prefferred method is to bring cash in person to complete the sale. If you are unable to bring cash in person within seven days or will be having the vehicle shipped, we also accept Certified Checks, USPS Postal Money Orders, and wire transfer.

PayPal is not an accepted payment method. This includes Bill Me Later.

We cannot accept credit cards or personal checks.

Vehicles that are not picked up within 14 days of auction's end will be charged a $10/day storage fee, unless other arrangments are made.

Non-paying Bidders:

We take great pride in our work and are very serious about what we do. Likewise, we expect the people who bid on our auctions to be serious about honoring their bid. If you are the successful bidder for any of our auctions and do not pay for your vehicle within the specified time, an Unpiad Item case willbe opend with eBay. This can severely restirct yur ability to purchse from all eBay sellers. You will be charged a $249 re-listing fee. All unpaid fees will be handed over to a collection agency and pursued to the fullest extent of the law.

Fee and Tax Information:

The only fee added by the seller is our $149 fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, etc., and is not applied to any costs incurred by the purchaser.

The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.

We are able to complete most tag, registration, and title work, as well as collect sales tax, for Pennsylvania residents.

For out-of-state buyer we can issue a 30-day temporary tag (aka In-Transit tag). The cost is $39 and the buyer must show a valid driver's license and current proof of insurance.
