MotoeXotica Classic Cars presents this fantastic 1955 Chevrolet Cameo Pickup you see before you. This truck had only two owners before we purchased it. The truck was titled to Eldean F. Sauer of Weatherford, Okla., on April 18, 1977 where it was lovingly cared for. This truck has held up well thanks to its life in dry states, and it was kept in a garage and it shows. This rarely seen first year Cameo pickup retains all its original body panels.

The Chevrolet Cameo was a predecessor to the infamous El Camino. Mid-1955 marked the first release of these light-duty trucks. Although it was a model variant of Chevrolet's light-duty pickup, the Cameo offered an array of car-like features that included passenger-car styling, fiberglass rear fenders, two-tone paint, a relatively luxurious interior, as well as power assists.

We have in our showroom a Cameo pickup from the first year of production. The exterior is a classic cream color and shows nicely with no major marks of imperfections. A new wood bed has benefitted this truck, giving a rustic charm to this still remarkable pickup. The body sits on four BFGoodrich tubeless Silvertown tires with the original hubcaps and wide whitewall tires really set this low production truck off.

The interior is impeccable with the original gauges and updated vinyl-cloth bucket seats with complimenting red and white colors. The modern updates go well with the other original pieces such as steering wheel, door handles and more. The engine is a Thriftmaster 235-CID six-cylinder mated on a three-speed manual transmission. The engine bay is spacious, correct and very nicely detailed in near show condition.

The owners kept his maintenance records, and they are included with purchase. This Cameo will make an excellent show truck, and its life in dry the states of Arkansas and Oklahoma served it will. This truck has its all original sheet metal. VIN is H255S034277, and actual mileage is 81,439. GET OUT AND DRIVE!
