So, a little history on the Panamera.  When Porsche first announced it was going to be building a four door sedan, everyone and their mom was excited.  Other makers like Lamborghini and Aston Martin had also been messing around with the idea of a sports sedan.  Porsche launched the Panamera in October of 2009 with great and some not so great reviews.  Some of our purists were upset that Porsche would venture into the four door sedan arena, and made all sorts of uproars over this type of car being on the lot.  However, three and a half years later they are the guys driving the Panamera's and absolutely loving the cars! 

Porsche then came out that following year with the Panamera V6 models like the one that you are seeing here.  The Panamera 4 powered by a 3.6L V6 pumps out a whopping 300 hp.  Now, if you aren't familiar with how a Porsche's gets thier horsepower down to the ground then think of it this way.  300 Porsche ponies is equivalent to about 450 ponies from about any other maker out there.  The Panamera 4 is both spry and luxurious at the same time.  Which is hard to do in the sports sedan arena.  Especially without consuming a ton of gas.

With the Panamera, you can expect to get up to 33/34 mpg on long drives and about 26/27mpg in the city.  Of course this all depends on how much you put your foot into it on a daily basis.  But the conservative to normal driver should expect to get that type of fuel economy. 

What about the inside of the Panamera?

This is where the car really shines.  From the newly developed Porsche interior, the Panamera really broke Porsche into new grounds.  Gone were the days that Porsche was thought of as a bland interior.  Step one foot inside this Panamera and you're entering a world of luxury.  A world where you feel like someone should be massaging your non driving hand while driving.  Although the Panamera still has the elements of sport and pure Porsche to it.  Everything is within a buttons touch and there are relatively no submenus to go through to get to your main functions.
