1959 Chevy Viking 60, 2-ton, one piece Budd rims

-            Fully operational dump bed with a Chelsea PTO

-           Somewhere along the line a period correct 261in-line 6 remanufactured engine was installed. The engine starts immediately no           matter what the outside temperature is. It blows no smoke and purrs once it’s warmed up.

-          The transmission is a Muncie Synchromesh 420 and shifts very smoothly.

-          The steering is extremely tight, and the truck tows a straight line.

-          The brakes and brake lines are new.

-          The wheels are 22.5” one piece Budd rims. These are what you call ultra rare. Try to find them. I also have two spares sold                 separately. These were bead blasted and powder coated and from what I could tell were unused.

-          The tires are new radials, 9” on 22.5”.

-          Tires, wheels, mounting, balancing and powder coating - $7,000.00

-          Brake lights, head lights, cab clearance lights, and blinkers all work.

-          All gauges work except the temp gauge and speedo. I have to install the cab end of the speedo cable but the transmission end          is in.

-          The fuel level sender was replaced.

-          NOS Grover air horns work really good. People love them.

-         The body is original. It looks like someone sprayed some paint on it years ago and most of it has worn off leaving a really nice             looking patina.

-          Cab corners and fender dog legs have small rust through that I left because it is only original once and from my opinion does not        detract from the overall appearance. If someone had to be perfect, I have two like new replacement fenders and the grill                      surround, (Sold Separately). Try to find those. The replacement passenger fender is NOS. The grill surround on the truck has a          crease in it. You should be able to zoom in on the pictures and see what I am describing here.

-         The headache bar was just built and installed.

Overall, for 65 years old this truck is in great shape. All the heavy lifting has been done. To find a truck like this without split rims is ultra rare. If you have any experience with split rims, you will know that no one wants to touch them. Thats why when you see these trucks for sale with split rims the seller rarely is forthcoming with the fact that you are potentially buying yard art. Buyer beware. This truck was being used on my farm to help clear 2 acres of trees. It is road worthy but doesn’t go very fast. It starts, steers, shifts, rolls and stops like it should. Trucks like these are usually heirlooms but a death in the family has changed my perspective on things so here’s your chance to own a gem.

 Miscellaneous items:

-            The new speedo cable needs to be hooked up to the speedo. The transmission end of the cable is in.

-           Heater fan works but the heater controls need to be replaced. All cab parts are readily available.

-           One cab clearance light bulb is burned out. I don’t drive this at night let alone on the road very much so this was never a priority

-            The cab glass is okay as it sits but the windshield has a crack down the middle.

-      The side windows roll up and down and have crazing. I never roll them up. This is a fair weather truck and since I have had it, it sits    high and dry in a climate controlled barn. If I kept it, I would replace the glass and all door and window seals.

-            The seat needs reupholstering and the carpet replaced.

-            Wind shield wipers work but needs new blades

Of course, no matter how much you do to this truck, there is always something to do. I guess that’s why we own them. As long as it is operational though, the odds and ends stuff is the joy of ownership. I have tried to be as transparent as possible because I love this truck and I know it deserves no less. If you want more pictures or have any questions please ask. I want this truck to land in the right hands. Thanks for your time.

Money orders will need to clear the bank before the truck is released.
