The BMW Z8 (E52) was a limited production model only made for three years between 2000 and 2003. There were only 5703 cars produced worldwide. The BMW Z8 was intended to be a Halo car designed to draw attention to BMW, which it accomplished. The Z8 possesses all the ingredients necessary for it to be a true collectors automobile: superior performance, outstanding design and rarity. It was BMWs conception of what the famous 507 roadster would have been if it were built past the 1950s. The Z8 possessed some of the same characteristics, such as a long sloping hood with round headlight blisters, twin-kidney grille, distinctive vents aft of the front wheels and a striking leather interior with a simplistic layout.
