We find that this new version of the Audi S6 is definitely a more refined sports sedan, which ups the style and also the acceleration departments.  The outgoing Audi S6 used a pretty exotic motor that Audi sourced from VW owned Lamborghini.  Audi updated the engine to a twin-turbo V8 which is both more efficient, economical and definitely a faster option for the next owner.   When Audi sourced this V8 TT and let go of the exotic V10, it also brought the base price down a solid $5,000 dollars.

How does it perform?

We're glad you asked!  So, 420 horsepower doesn't sound like a TON anymore by todays standards.  However, from a standstill the twin turbo V8 has absolutely viscious acceleration paired with the silky smooth transmission this thing gets up to 100mph in an absolute HURRY!  0-60mph times are roughly 4.5 seconds, although Audi rates that on a full load.  So, we suspect that with one or two passengers you'll be looking at something in the 4.2 second range.  Which for a car of this size or really any sports car is getting really close to top of the line sportscar ranges!

Turbocharged power is just perfect!  As you'll have loads of torque pretty much anywhere within the range.  You'll find your peak torque comes after about 1,700 rpm.  One thing that we really like about the Audi S6 is the three different dynamic suspension modes.  You have comfort mode, automatic and dynamic which will differentiate your suspension dampers to create a comfort or a sport ride.  Which is awesome if you have multiple drivers with different feels that they like their ride to have.

There are many sports sedans in the market that have a really rough suspension.  We really like the S6 because it's a more mild mannered suspension with capable handling and all-wheeldrive which make this one the most predictable as a year-round drivers car.  I do love the steering feel of Audi's as it just has precision where precision is needed, turn in!

How do I look?

This is where Audi really shines.  Technology and looks!  The interior of this rocketship is absolutely delicious!  Brightly colored LED's in the instrument clusters and the door sills try to help you with a lighting cycle.  You'll find the optional Carbon Fiber Atlas Inlays which adds some sports car panache!  There is NOTHING in this interior that you'll think is cheap.  Audi does not cut any corners on build quality or build integrity!  Touch it, you'll love it!
