Description

Are you looking for a sweet Hot Rod pick-up truck that comes with great ownership history and is loaded with tons of big grin fun? If so, this solid hauler should do the trick. Currently "Model A's" are seeing a resurgence and this ones very special. Study the highly detailed photos/videos & listen up...

Tons of creative teak touches, top name craftsman finishes and the same fastidious owner for more than 30yrs. Purchased from a high school buddy in the early 80's, over the years it has been restored twice, constantly refined, petted and protected...

The Nautical Flair comes from a career as the prior owner of San Diego Boat Mover's. Receiving many one-off hand crafted "teak wood" components including solid teak running boards by Oster Boat Works, steering wheel, overhead console, fuel tank cradle, bed inserts and front apron/fender hardware...

For starters, it's bright Red steel body preparation and professional finish were performed by TV celebrity and well known craftsman, Charlie Hutton of Hutton's Autocraft Caldwell, Idaho (see build photos). Features include all steel Henry cab/front-end/fenders, all steel re-production Model A bed, custom widened fiberglass rear fenders, custom boards, tan soft canvas roof, custom wind wings, tasteful pin striping, beautiful chrome bumpers/trim, vintage Budweiser storage and 50's Ice Chest...

The same level of quality resides throughout and the drive is equally impressive. The rolling stock begins with a stout professionally finished custom TCI chassis featuring dropped 4 bar front axle, pan-hard bar, polished 4 bar rear suspension, adjustable 4 corner Bilstein coil over shocks and 4 wheel Wilwood power Disc brakes. The ride is tight, just right and plenty stout for the horsepower...

Weighing in at 2,600 lbs and speaking of horsepower! Powering this jewel is a blown pro built 327 Chevy V8 topped with 4bbl Holley carb and polished vintage 371 Blower with 1 to 1 drive and 7lbs of boost. Assembled Balanced and blueprinted by Genes Machine of Hesperia, California. Other features include custom polished blower 3 belt drive, MSD ignition, Carter fuel pump, early Corvette polished valve covers, aluminum radiator w/14" electric cooling (runs super cool), polished Hi-Amp alternator, block hugger headers w/Flowmaster exhaust and more. Transferring the power is a Turbo Hydro 350 auto transmission and GM 12 Bolt Posi-Trac w/354 ratio. Tastefully smooth with juice to spare :-)...

Moving inside, the interior is custom stitched in supple fine grade tan Leather from top to bottom and tan tweed carpet. Features include custom dash w/early VDO/SW gauges, chrome upper, brushed aluminum Tilt Steering column, Grant Banjo steering wheel, teak overhead panel w/Alpine speakers, AM/FM cassette stereo, Gennie shifter & E Brake w/Leather boots, teak accents and factory open air windshield. The fun and quality never ends with this cute rig, the next Trophy could be yours...
