The Starlight Black exterior is in excellent newly professionally painted condition and really pops with the new correct decals. As one can see in the photos, the paint has a dazzling gloss, great shine, and excellent finish. Often many Trans Am's will have particularly chipped up front ends, this car does not, both bumpers are in excellent shape with no spider webbing or flaking paint. There are no major imperfections that have been intentionally excluded from the photos. There may be some small blemishes that were too faint to show up in photos, but nothing that is really noticeable from a few feet away. The Goodyear Eagle GT II tires are in great shape with excellent tread and are sized 225/70/15. The original wheels are in near perfection condition with no curb rash and shine up beautifully with new center caps and lug nuts. All weather-stripping is new on the car and in excellent shape including, T-top seals, door seals, trunk seal, and window sweeps. The trunk is solid and complete and nicely detailed with spare tire, jack, jack base, inflator canister with a new correct trunk mat. 

This SE looks just as good in person as it does in the photos.

Interior

The Doeskin tan deluxe interior of the Trans Am looks utterly splendid. The newly refinished seats are in like new condition with no tears, split seams, or signs of wear. The carpet is also like new no stains, rips, or holes. The original dash is in perfect condition with no cracks, fading or sun warping and has never been cut on for modern radio installation preserving the originality of this incredible Trans Am. The original radio remains in the factory position and still works as it should. The original dash bezel, shifter plate surround, and steering wheel have been professionally restored to like new condition and look terrific in the car. A newer set of Pontiac logo mats really set off this interior. All of the interior lights and gauges work as they should and amazingly even the clock still keeps accurate time and the cigarette lighter also works perfectly. Also the Turbo indicator lights work as they should while driving the car and the dimmer switch for the turbo lights works in the console, please notice video below with Turbo lights functioning while driving. The door panels are newly replaced with no cracks or splits, and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner and package tray have also newly been replaced and are in great condition with no issues. This car has not been smoked in and there is no aroma of cigarettes what so ever.

Overall Condition

Overall, this 1981 Special Edition Trans Am is in excellent restored condition. It is a great value and we have it priced to sell. The market is very hot on these cars right now, this is especially for premium examples like this one. This car turns heads and gets tons of attention wherever it goes. This Trans Am is exceptionally desirable being a true Turbo SE car, and being fully restored with extensive original documentation pictured below. The value of these cars has gone up exponentially in recent years. They are all solid investments for a collector or the average enthusiast. Cars like this are the Barrett Jackson stars of the future. One could easily enjoy this vehicle for several years and sell it for more than the purchase price with minimal effort.
