Two owner, garage kept since 1981 this Cadillac is in truly excellent condition and ready for a car show! The original paint still shines beautifully just as it was from the factory (with the exception of a few small dents... nothing a dent doctor can't remove if you want it to be absolutely flawless). Just had a three stage buffing/polishing job done which was meticulously performed using quality Menzerna products and coated with Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant to protect the paint from UV damage, rain, dust, fading, etc...
Oil has been changed every 2,000-3,000 miles. All electronics operate as they should, the only thing it may need as far as maintenance goes is the A/C recharged. Fresh inspection sticker 5/13.
The rear seats were very rarely used and look like new. Dashboard is in perfect condition as well as the headliner. Tires still have plenty of tread left. Never wrecked and no rust as it is a Virginia vehicle. You really have to see it in person to appreciate the pristine condition of this antique!
Features: fuel injection engine, Climate control, cruise control, headlights timer which turns off the headlights automatically, electric-assist trunk opening and closing, Interior trunk release, original carpeted floor mats, door guards, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, and appearance value package. I also have the original Cadillac owner's manual, Cadillac service information (very detailed service book), and Fisher Body service manual, and three sets of keys.
This is NOT a scam, I drove the car here to California from Virginia. Now I can safely say it is a reliable vehicle :) this has always been a Virginia vehicle though.
Sold AS-IS.

2020 Cadillac XT6 earns IIHS Top Safety Pick award
Wed, Dec 4 2019The 2020 Cadillac XT6 luxury three-row crossover has proven to be plenty competent on the road, and now it turns out to have impressive performance in crash tests. The IIHS recently tested the big Caddy and gave it a Top Safety Pick award. It just missed out on the highest Top Safety Pick + rating because of headlight performance. In every single crash test, the XT6 earned the highest "Good" rating for passenger protection. Both the standard and optional forward collision prevention systems also received the highest "Superior" ratings, and they were both able to bring the car to a stop before colliding with another vehicle at speeds up to 25 mph. The one area it didn't earn top marks was with headlights, which were rated "Acceptable," the second-highest score. Though it doesn't factor into the Top Safety Pick criteria, the IIHS also rated the child seat LATCH anchor access "Acceptable." Among three-row luxury crossovers, there are three others that have the Top Safety Pick rating: the Infiniti QX60, Lexus RX and Volvo XC90. Only one crossover in this segment has the highest Top Safety Pick + rating, and that's the Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class.
Our favorite mid-engine Corvette theories and rumors
Tue, Sep 13 2016The mid-engine Corvette! We just saw blurry photos through the foliage, and are hearts are all aflutter because it means that this car is real. And it's the most " never before" Corvette since 1984. Which leads us to all kinds of wacky theories and speculation. Everybody knows something or heard from a guy. None of those guys (or gals) from GM are talking to Autoblog, to be clear. But that won't stop us from stirring the pot. Let's go over a few point-by-point. The pushrod engine will be replaced by an overhead-cam V8 Car and Driver has repeatedly reported that an overhead-cam engine will come after the mid-engine Corvette's debut with an old-school pushrod. We've heard the same thing firsthand, albeit from a source with no connection to the development of the Corvette or powertrain. "At some point two valves can't pass future emissions regulations," said the guy we know. While the pushrod engine is compact, the design makes it difficult - if not impossible - for sophisticated variable valve timing (and lift) systems that control combustion with more precision. Hasty conclusion: The pushrod engine has a finite life in front of it. This one's a lock, it's a just a matter of when. Bowling Green's new paint shop is really the mid-engine assembly line Credit to Reddit for this one. Like we said, everybody knows a guy. But let's look deeper. The new paint facility costs $439 million dollars and adds 450,000 square feet, almost half the size of the existing plant. Plus GM announced another $290 million in upgrades at Bowling Green Assembly. That sure sounds like a lot of money, but you can actually spend that much on a paint booth. Porsche spent 500 million Euros (about $561 million dollars) to add the Macan assembly to its Leipzig, Germany plant in 2014. Chrysler shelled out $850 million for a paint shop in Sterling Heights, Michigan. GM spent $600 million for a new paint shop at the Fairfax (Kansas City) plant. Honda, on the other hand, is working on a thrifty $210 million project in Marysville, Ohio that includes a 300,000 square foot expansion, and the low-volume Acura NSX facility only cost $70 million. Hasty conclusion: The square footage and cost could easily mean a new assembly line instead of (or in addition to) a paint line. And if the NSX plant was really that cheap, GM could have hidden a similar sum in its existing announcements.
Cadillac logo losing its wreath?
Tue, 23 Jul 2013The easily recognizable Cadillac logo dates back to the company's founding in the early 1900s, but over the last 110 years, there has been an on-again, off-again love affair with the wreath surrounding the crest. Cadillac's current badge design has used the wreath since the 1980s, but Automotive News is reporting that GM's luxury division is planning to ditch the laurel wreath for a cleaner-looking logo.
The new logo could make its debut as early as next month on a new concept car that will be revealed at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, although the report also says that it might be until 2015 before it makes its way to a production car. Even then, it doesn't like anything has been finalized yet, as the article also says that plans could still change.
As Cadillac looks to improve its global presence as a luxury automaker, the report says that a simpler logo could make it easier for designers to incorporate the badge onto the car - either in the grille or above the grille (possibly in a fashion similar to Mercedes-Benz). Head on over to the AN article, which shows the Cadillac logo dating back to its earliest design.
