1959 CADILLAC FLEETWOOD "ORIGINALITY" *** FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING*** DATA PLATE TRIM - 71 PAINT - 14 TOP - NOTHING ACC- EHKS *** CALIFORNIA BLACK PLATE*** ***PURCHASED IN LOS ANGELES NEW*** ***BLACK PLATE LAST REGISTERED IN 1984*** CALIFORNIA PLATE IS THE ORIGINAL 1963 BLACK PLATES THAT MATCH THE REGISTRATION. HOLDING THE ORIGINAL PAINT WITH EXCELLENT CALIFORNIA PATINA. THE EXTERIOR IS SHOWING SOME OF THE ORIGINAL RED PRIMER. THE EXTERIOR GLASS IS ALL ORIGINAL AND IN EXCELLENT CONDITION THIS 59 EXTERIOR BODY IS ALL ORIGINAL SHEET METAL AND I BELIEVE ON THE DRIVERS FRONT FENDER HAD A CREASE AT ONE POINT. LOOKS LIKE THEY POPPED THE CREASE OUT. THIS IS THE ONLY REPAIR WORK ON THE CAR. THE EXTERIOR CHROME IS IN GREAT ORIGINAL SHAPE. SHOWING SOME MINOR BLEMISHES. OVERALL VERY SATISFYING AND GREAT CONDITION. ***OUTSTANDING DRIVER QUALITY*** ALL DOORS CLOSE WELL AND NO DROPPING AND VERY SOLID RUST FREE DOORS. IF YOU KNOW 1959 CADILLAC FRONT FENDERS. YOU KNOW THEIR IS A 4 INCH BRACE ON THE BACK OF THE LOWER PART OF FENDER. THE DIRT COLLECTS BETWEEN THE BRACE AND SHEET METAL. THIS CAUSES THE RUST PROBLEM IN THIS AREA. THE CAR HAS SPENT ITS ENTIRE LIFE IN CALIFORNIA AND THE OWNERS LIVED IN THE DESSERT AREA. MOST OF THE DESSERT SAND AND DUST HAS BEEN SCRAPED OFF THE FRAME AND FLOORBOARDS. Cadillac bids farewell to CTS-V Coupe with special edition
Mon, 12 May 2014With the introduction of the latest Cadillac CTS, we knew it would only be a matter of time before a new CTS-V would come along. Now General Motors has revealed that the next CTS-V will arrive sometime next year, but before it does, the company is sending off the outgoing coupe with a special edition.
For 2015, the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe will come in a limited edition of 500 units decked out with a dark grille treatment, satin-finish wheels, red brake calipers and an upgraded cabin. The interior is decked out Recaro seats trimmed in black with red stitching, Midnight Sapele wood trim, metal pedals and a microsuede-trimmed steering wheel and shifter.
Buyers will be able to opt for white, gray or optional black exterior paint, an available sunroof and a six-speed transmission in either manual or automatic configuration. Of course, the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 comes standard with 556 horsepower, as does Magnetic Ride Control and brakes by Brembo. Pricing will be announced closer to launch, but in the mean time, you can read all there is to know by checking out the official release below.

Cadillac shows dealers convertible rendering
Tue, 28 Oct 2014Cadillac is getting serious about revitalizing and expanding its lineup, and to that end, a new report claims that brand boss Johan de Nysschen has been showing plans for several new models to the marque's dealer body - among them, a new convertible.
The droptop which Cadillac reportedly showed its dealers in sketch form, would be based on the same platform as the ATS and CTS, those it's unclear to which (if either) of those model lines the new convertible would be added, or whether the design features a canvas or folding hardtop roof. One way or another, it would be the first time Cadillac would offer a convertible since the Corvette-based XLR roadster was discontinued more than five years ago.
Quoting an unnamed brand spokesperson, Cadillac would "like to introduce an open car to the portfolio at some point," however, "it's not likely to be one of the near-term portfolio additions."
