Up for auction is my 2004 Cadillac Escalade. We have owned this truck since new and it has been garage kept its entire life. Mechanically nor electronically, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this truck. Within the past 2.5 years, we have invested over $7k in immediately repairing anything that may have gone wrong on the vehicle. I understand that said investment will not be recouped, but we simply do not have a need for this truck; less than 10k miles put on the vehicle in the past 3 years. We take care in maintaining our vehicles and this Escalade is no exception. If something went wrong with the truck, we immediately had it fixed at a local dealership.
Owning this truck since new, I know that there have been absolutely no fender benders nor accidents of any kind. It has never seen the inside of a body shop. Notable options: - Luxury package including navigation and sunroof. - Cadillac Pearl White paint - an $800 option at the time of purchase. - AWD with 6.0 Vortec Engine. - 2nd row captain seats. Major repairs or replacements: 1) Full transmission failure at 100,300 miles in the spring of 2011. We did a complete transmission replacement with a new GM transmission. The work was done by a local Cadillac dealer (Covert Cadillac); there are 6 months remaining on the warranty of this transmission. Total cost was over $6k; vehicle will include all paperwork regarding this repair. 2) Replacement of rear air shocks and associated air compressor. Rear air shocks include a LIFETIME warranty. Full paperwork will come with this repair. 3) All wiper blades (front and rear) and lift gate shocks have been replaced with new parts within the past 6 months. Engine oil change was changed every 3,000 miles will Mobil 1 full synthetic oil. Nothing mechanically or electronically wrong with this Escalade. Only minor exterior blemishes that one would expect from a vehicle with 112k miles. No rips or tears on the seats or major spills/stains on the interior. This truck will come with the 3rd row seats. Plenty of tread left on the tires. A/C and heat function with no issues or problems. Truck will come with two keys and two key fobs. If the new owner takes care of changing the oil on a frequent basis, this truck should easily last for another 100,000 miles. We are locally listing the truck and reserve the right to end the auction early. Mileage may slightly increase as a result of locally showing the Escalade. Thanks for looking and good luck! |

Sunday Drive: Classic American nameplates and one exciting new German
Sun, Mar 25 2018Our look back at last week's biggest automotive stories focuses first on the Jeep Wagoneer, an unequivocal American classic. Not only did the Wagoneer play a pivotal role in kicking off America's current love affair with the sport utility vehicle, it legitimized the Jeep brand in the mind of consumers looking not just for something to ably take them off the beaten path, but to do so in comfort, with the entire family along for the ride. So it comes as little surprise that Jeep decided to take one vintage Wagoneer, modernize it with a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine, and put the thing on display as part of its annual Moab Easter Jeep Safari. We're in love. Our next two stories focus on Cadillac. First up is news that the striking Escala Concept is headed for production in 2021 to serve as the brand's flagship luxury sedan. The second story involves Caddy's current top rung, the CT6, which gets a new twin-turbo V8 engine as part of its V-Sport package. And finally, we round out this look at last week's headlines with the 2019 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe and Cabriolet. We're mighty keen to try out Benz's new AMG-fettered turbocharged inline-six engine, and the C Coupe looks like a fine point of entry. As always stay tuned to Autoblog this week for all the latest automotive news. Jeep delivers basketful of concepts for the Moab Easter Jeep Safari Cadillac's striking Escala concept is reportedly headed for production Cadillac CT6 V-Sport wants to take prisoners with 550-hp 4.2L TT V8 2019 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe and Cabriolet revealed ahead of New York
GM to build $1.3 billion Cadillac plant in China
Wed, 08 May 2013General Motors has gotten approval to build a $1.3 billion manufacturing facility for its Cadillac brand in China. China's National Development and Reform Commission signed off on plans for GM to build the plant in the country's Shanghai's Jinqiao zone; construction is expected to begin in June of this year. According to a Bloomberg report, the plant will have an annual production capacity of 150,000 units.
No surprise here, but Cadillac would like to sell a lot more cars in the plush Chinese luxury market. The brand moved only 30,010 cars in China last year, compared with 400k for Audi, and about 330k for BMW. With Cadillac already telling us that it would be moving production of its XTS sedan to China - a production decision that saves having to pay 25-percent import tariffs - approval of the factory is a critical win for the company.
In fact, according to earlier comments by GM China president Bob Socia, it's at least conceivable that Chinese-built Cadillacs could be shipped back to the US for sale. The brave new world of globalization, getting stranger by the minute.
Hear the new Cadillac CTS-V torture some tires
Thu, Dec 25 2014The 2016 Cadillac CTS-V seems like the type of wonderful gift that Santa might cook up in his workshop for one extraordinarily good boy or girl. However, the first chance for most people to actually see the super sedan and its carbon fiber pieces in real life is at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show in January. As a stocking stuffer until then, Caddy has released this video highlighting the latest V-Series roasting its tires better than any dinner for the holidays. With the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 from the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 nestled into the CTS-V's engine bay, the Cadillac certainly has quite a bark coming from its exhaust. The mill might be detuned slightly from the 'Vette to 640 horsepower and 630 pound-feet of torque, but that's still plenty for this smoky application. Enjoy this tease of the future V-Series, ahead of the Detroit show.
