White 1973 Eldorado Cadillac Convertible W/ Red Interior on 2040-cars
Ash Flat, Arkansas, United States
For sale is this 1973 Eldorado Cadillac Convertible that is pre-owned with a clear title. It has 44,106 original miles and has been stored in a warehouse in Little Rock, Arkansas for over 25 years. The car is white with a red pin stripe and red leather interior. Pin stripe was redone, as it was faded. This 1973 Eldorado runs strong and drives nice. The inside is clean and in good condition with the exception of a crack in the leather along the driver side window, which I have pictured. Also there is two metal parts that are on the front sides of the car that are not original to the car, and I have also pictured that. The top is original and in good condition. When the top is down it has the hard red boot with clips. When not in use and parked in the yard, it has a large Cadillac car cover. The motor has been gone through and runs strong and the car drives great. It has a 501 cubic inch motor, 8 cylinder, but is considered a 500 cubic inch. The gas tank has been flushed out and a new sending unit put in. It has a new fuel pump, new water pump, new intake valves, and push rods. New plugs and wires, and gasket sets for the manifold, head gaskets. New belts. There is new tires and the original floor mats, but one has tape on the back. Also has Cadillac hubcaps. The car also has new tires. Power seats, power windows, power locks. AM/FM radio, clock needs cleaning to work. Has Heat and A/C, but the A/C works, but needs charged. Gas tank is 27 1/2 gallons. There is also the original owners manual. Please feel free to contact me(Bob) and ask any questions. 870-994-4446. I will require a $500.00 non-refundable down payment at end of the auction and full payment due in three(3)days. Bidder is responsible for all shipping and shipping arrangements. I believe there was 566 of these Eldorado convertibles made in 1973. Thirty three were used a racing pace cars.
Bidders good luck! |

Cadillac ATS-V Coupe caught undisguised ahead of LA reveal
Tue, 28 Oct 2014Vsport versions of the CTS and XTS sedans are all well and good, but what Cadillac enthusiasts have really been looking forward to is the arrival of the next full-on V model. And here we have it.
Spied in the nude during an apparent photo shoot ahead of its anticipated debut at the fast-approaching Los Angeles Auto Show, the upcoming new Cadillac ATS-V Coupe is set to pick up where the old CTS-V left off, only in a more compact form. Unlike previous spy shots of heavily disguised prototypes, this final version is showing a chrome-framed mesh grille, along with a deep lower air dam with what looks to be a carbon-fiber front splitter. That bulging hood with heat extractor vents is tipped to be packing a twin-turbo V6 engine, breathing out of quad exhaust tips.
The aggressive aero kit also encompasses side skirts, a reshaped rear bumper and a lip spoiler on the truck, while the upgraded rolling stock wears serious low-profile rubber and the brakes appear to be carbon-ceramic units. Peer through the window and you can even see the sport bucket seats with slots for racing harnesses. All of which suggests a serious American challenger to the BMW M4 and its ilk, and we're looking forward to seeing the vehicle in the metal in LA next month.
2020 Cadillac XT5 is barely being refreshed
Mon, May 6 2019Cadillac has been making a serious effort to expand its crossover offerings with the all-new XT4 and XT6. With them has come slight changes to Cadillac's design language, leaving the existing XT5 looking a little out of the loop. Well, it appears that's about to change ... sort of. One of our spy photographers caught a 2020 Cadillac XT5 out testing, and it has some changes that suggest a refresh. You do have to look closely to tell anything has changed, though. And even then, the only noticeable change is to the grille, which is now dotted with little quadrilateral shapes similar to those on XT4 and CT5. You can see one of the two current designs below. Otherwise, the bumpers and lights haven't been changed at all. View 21 Photos We suspect there will be other small changes in store for the crossover. It could switch from an eight-speed transmission to a nine-speed unit like the one the XT6 will use. This would be likely considering they both use the same V6 engine. We wouldn't rule out adding an optional turbo four-cylinder engine borrowed from the XT4, but that would be a fairly significant and less likely change. The interior could see some updates, and Cadillac could possibly try to shoehorn in its new infotainment system from the new batch of cars. Then again, changes could simply be limited to new materials and some extra features. With such a light update, we expect the updated 2020 XT5 will make its debut sometime this year with sales coming shortly after.
Cadillac to fight Audi A3, Mercedes CLA with small rear-drive sedan?
Mon, 18 Aug 2014Compact luxury sedans are fast becoming the trend among upscale automakers. Mercedes has the new CLA (and its many platform-mates), BMW has the 1 Series and 2 Series, Audi has the A3 and, though Lexus apparently isn't interested in anything smaller than its CT 200h, Infiniti is getting in on the action with a compact model of its own. It would only follow logically, then, that Cadillac should launch a competitor, and according to the latest reports, that's just what it has in store.
Speaking with Car and Driver, Cadillac marketing chief Uwe Ellinghaus confirmed that such a project is in the works. But unlike its rivals, Cadillac aims to go with a rear-wheel-drive layout. This despite research that apparently indicates that a surprising 80 percent of owners think that their BMW 1 Series is front-drive. It's the driving dynamics and styling proportions that motivate Ellinghaus and his colleagues to stick with rear-drive, however.
The new model would in all likelihood be based on the same GM Alpha architecture that underpins the ATS and CTS - a platform that has helped Cadillac keep the weight down on both models and which is expected to underpin the next-generation Chevy Camaro, as well. The sub-ATS could be positioned as a four-door 2+2, however, as the ATS grows a little larger in its next iteration in order to make room for its new baby brother.
