This is a great car! Rebuilt engine with less than 100 miles on it. Lots new! See details below:
Here is a great opportunity to own an American classic! This is a 1967 Cadillac Eldorado Hardtop. First year for this new and highly acclaimed model design. Just rebuilt engine with less than 100 miles on it. Have all receipts for parts and machine work (over $2,000 in engine rebuild). Block was machined, new maximum torque specialities cam, valve job done, master rebuild kit installed, new oil pump, new fuel pump and fuel lines from gas tank to engine, gas tank dropped and cleaned, new fuel sending unit installed, fuel gauge does not work though, new temperature sensor, new vacumn hoses, radiator removed, hot tanked, roded and resoldered and pressure checked, new radiator cap, new overflow, new passanger side power window motor, new battery, new carpet, exhaust repaired and new seals/gaskets installed, two new tires installed in front.
Front end has been aligned. Transmission serviced and filter replaced.
Included with the car are the following new items that have not been installed:
weatherstrip - new rear quarter window seals, roof rails, door seals
I have other parts and will add an addendum later this week. However, there is a spare instrument cluster, compressor tank for the air cushion ride and A/C compressor. Also, I have a 1 pound can of R12 and the a/c tools to recharge that are included. I have not tried to test the cruise control.
The chrome on the car is very very nice original condition. The body is very straight, there are some small old repairs on the roof side panels of some sort and the roof was repainted to protect from elements as the old vinyl roof appears to have been removed a long time ago. Glass seems to be good. two small scratches on a side window. No chips seen. The body appears to be in very good overall condition, there is however some surface rust in the trunk. Photos will be posted to show it. The floor pans also had rust at some point and the previous owner put in new heavy duty custom floor pans.
The car has the original jack, full size spare, mag style hubcaps (factory) factory strato seats. Also the shop manual, body manual and Cadillac Eldorado collector car book are included too. I will be posting some more pictures this weekend. There is the original 8 track tape unit too..
I have driven the car the 100 miles consisting of short trips. It drove good. But as I have had this car in my garage for about 4 years, I would not recommend driving it a long distance without getting the rear tires replaced. You will notice that the engine is 472 cid vs the 425 cid . The 472 block is much better with many improved designs for water flow in the engine, reduction of vibration from a/c and other improvements. The block was a 1968 Cadillac Eldorado block. Parts for this block are very available and inexpensive too, especially compared to the 425. You also get more torque and HP from this unit. Paint can use a redo.
Now for the details
The car is listed locally for a higher price and I reserve the right to end the auction early if car sells locally The reserve is $3,200

The mileage on the odometer is 06661. I have taken pictures of the interior. The seats do not have any major issues, there is some wear on the front seats as seen in the pictures. the door panels are very nice. The dash pad is great except for one minor crack by the speaker, about 1/2 inch long. see picture. the back seat passanger side has two seams that have come undone, very top of the seat, see picture. headliner is fine. some surface rust inside bottom of door, see picture. I just started it after sitting for about a week. once fuel was pumped up to the carb then started right up. Very smooth with a very slight rumble from the Maximum Torque Specialties cam. Also has new platinum plugs and Accel large gauge spark plug wires. The exhaust manifolds were also surfaced during engine rebuild.

Cadillac cancels its car subscription program after just two years
Fri, Nov 2 2018Cadillac is cancelling its Book by Cadillac subscription service, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal and confirmed to Autoblog by a Cadillac spokesperson. The $1,800 a month service has been in operation since early last year. The Cadillac spokesperson told us this: "Following nearly two years of service, Cadillac will temporarily pause the Book by Cadillac program effective December 1, 2018." This moves comes not too long after the decision to leave its New York City headquarters and return to Michigan. While Cadillac claims the disruption of service will be temporary, there's no defined plan to start the program back up again. The reason for the cancellation? The service ended up being more costly than Cadillac expected it to be. Owners will have 30 days from the time they're notified to turn their vehicles in. If this subscription service was your only transportation, then you better start looking for something else. The service was available in New York City, Dallas and Los Angeles. Subscribers could choose between five different Cadillacs: ATS-V, CTS-V, CT6, XT5 and Escalade. You'd be allowed up to 2,000 miles per month and 18 vehicle swaps per year through the concierge service. Cadillac would bring the car of your choice to you and take the old car away at your whimsy. The price included registration, taxes, insurance and maintenance costs. No long term commitment was necessary to sign up. This makes Cadillac one of the first manufacturers to end a nascent subscription service. If it starts back up again, expect it to look a bit different from the current program. Cadillac says it's using this experience to make strategy adjustments in the future. Whether that means a much more costly program for users, or no subscription program at all, we don't know. Plenty of other manufacturers still offer limited subscription programs in select cities. We highlighted some of the biggest ones in our vehicle subscription service guide here. It'll just be a waiting game to figure out if these modes of ownership take off going forward. For more information on Vehicle Subscription Services, check out the Complete Guide. J.D. Power customer survey of dealers counts Cadillac, Buick as big winners
Mon, 14 Apr 2014Cadillac and Buick have taken the trophies in J.D. Power's latest Customer Service Index Study examining satisfaction with dealer service. Surveying more than 90,000 owners and lessees of 2009-2013 model-year cars, the study found that those with pre-paid maintenance packages were ten percent more likely to buy their next car from the same brand.
Dealer satisfaction scores have improved overall, Cadillac nabbed the luxury segment ahead of Audi and Lexus, taking the crown that Lexus held last year. Buick keeps the mass-market dealer satisfaction win in the family, finishing ahead of Volkswagen and last year's winner GMC. The study also found that service department use of tablets increased customer satisfaction, as did "best practices" like "providing helpful advice." Who knew?
You can find details on those and more findings in the press release below.
Cadillac Celestiq, Lyriq, Hummer, other future GM electric cars: Here's everything we saw at ‘EV Day’
Wed, Mar 4 2020WARREN, Mich. — Today, General Motors held an “EV Day” event at its Warren, Michigan, campus to present its new “Ultium” battery technology, modular electric vehicle architecture and soon-to-come electric vehicles. Unfortunately, we were forbidden from bringing cameras into the event, so while we canÂ’t show you what we saw, we can tell you more about it. While we saw the previously teased Cadillac EV (which we now know to be called the Lyriq) and the GMC Hummer pickup teased during the Super Bowl, there were a number of other future cars at the event, which GM President Mark Reuss assured us are all real vehicles in the works. The biggest surprise came at the end of the event, though, in the Cadillac Celestiq electric sedan, which Reuss described as a future flagship that would be hand-built “very locally.” It had been hiding under a dark sheet all morning, with the front and rear illuminated Cadillac emblems shining from underneath. When the wraps came off, we saw a long, white, four-seat fastback sedan. The 23-inch wheels were pushed out to the very corners of the car, giving it what appeared to be a very long wheelbase. The model on the stage had no side mirrors or visible door handles. The grille mirrored that of the Lyriq crossover next to it, with integrated lighting in lieu of the usual mesh or slats youÂ’d see in an internal combustion car. The entire roof, all the way until it tapered to the tail of the vehicle, was tinted glass. In back, vertical tail lighting ran down the C-pillar before turning rearward across the top of the trunk. Inside, everything below the beltline of the windows — essentially all but the headrests and top portion of the steering wheel, was hidden from view. Behind the Celestiq, a large digital display showed a rendering of its interior. The dash consists of a pillar-to-pillar curved LED display serving as both instrument panel and infotainment system. Protruding forward between the front seats was another touchscreen that appeared to house some more controls, with open area, probably for storage, below it. The rear seats had the same sort of touchscreen between them. Built into the back of the front seats were a pair of rear-seat entertainment screens, much like we saw in the Lyriq. The door panels blended wood, metal and animated lighting to give character and a sense of opulence. GM interior design manager Tristan Murphy was on hand to tell us a bit more about the Celestiq.
