For sale a two owner survivor, the last year of this elegant Eldorado design (1979-85) before a major downsizing in 1986.

Bought new by Sydney and Kay Cole of  Mulholland Drive, Bel Air, California, delivered December 10, 1985 to the famous Casa De Cadillac dealership of Sherman Oaks California.

I am the second owner, purchasing the car from the Cole estate in 2005.

The car is completely original, has never been in an accident, with zero rust, paint is in good condition with clear coat still shiny with minor flaws, chrome is excellent and blemish free, interior is excellent with minor flaws in two areas, all rubber insulation and seals in perfect condition.

Car has lived it's entire life is sunny California, garaged and well maintained, this is a rust free west coast car.  The engine is quiet with plenty of power, the transmission shifts smoothly and handling is nimble with the added option of  "Touring Suspension" .

Original window sticker, ( $26,500 new! ) leather bound dealer owners manuals, with original owners name, all GM brochures and gold key. Original never used emergency tire still in trunk. All registration records from day one to present as well as most maintenance records and receipts included.

The original vintage California license plates are still on the car and transferable to another California owner.
I am asking a very fair price and not advertising this car as mint, the car is 28 years old with normal age related issues, there are minor cosmetic flaws, but with minor TLC they can be easily repaired.

Car is smogged with current registration.

Tue, 20 May 2014

General Motors has announced another set of recalls, covering some 2.42 million cars in the United States. For those keeping track, The General has now recalled over 15 million cars worldwide this year due to various issues.
Here's the breakdown for this most recent set of recalls:
1,339,355 - Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia models from the 2009 to 2014 model years; Saturn Outlook models from the 2009 to 2010 model years

GM reports third straight sales drop in China in 2020

Wed, Jan 6 2021

BEIJING — General Motors' vehicle sales in China fell 6.2% in 2020, as the U.S. automaker suffered a prolonged slowdown in the world's biggest auto market. GM, China's second biggest foreign automaker, delivered 2.9 million vehicles in the country last year, the company said on Wednesday, for a third straight decline in annual sales. But sales have been recovering in the second half of last year, up 12% between July and September and 14% in the final three months. GM has a Shanghai-based joint venture with SAIC Motor, in which the Buick, Chevrolet and Cadillac vehicle brands are made. It also has another Liuzhou-based venture, with SAIC and Guangxi Automobile Group, in which they make no-frills minivans and have started to make higher-end cars. Sales of its Buick brand grew 4% on the year and Wuling rose 9%, the statement said. Luxury brand Cadillac's sales increased 8%. Sales of GM's more affordable Baojun brand dropped 33% last year, while sales of its mass-market Chevrolet tumbled 30%. GM's delivery of 2.9 million vehicles in China follows 3.09 million vehicles in 2019, 3.65 million vehicles in 2018, and 4.04 million in 2017, for a three-year decrease of 28%.

Cadillac teases CT4 and CT5 V-Series Blackwing steering wheel

Thu, Aug 20 2020

There's quite a bit that we know about the upcoming Cadillac V-Series Blackwing models. Thanks to spy shooters and prototypes, we've seen the CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwing out and about testing on public roads, which means we've seen the bronze wheels in staggered sizes. We've been told they will offer proper manual transmissions, and we know they will lap a race track quicker than the ATS-V and CTS-V they replace. And now we know what their steering wheels will look like. It's not much to base an entire teaser on, but there are a few interesting tidbits we can glean from Caddy's first official Blackwing tease. First, the wheel itself. It's leather wrapped (not Alcantra, at least on this example), it looks to have meaty bulges where you'll want to grip it, it has a red strip at the top to help locate straight ahead while driving aggressively, and it has a carbon fiber V-shaped spoke at the bottom. Finally, we see a prominent silver button labeled "V" on the left side that will allow drivers to quickly access V-Mode. To the right will be buttons for the Performance Traction Management system. Judging by the fuzzy background behind the wheel that shows some sort of digital gauge cluster, it seems that Cadillac may be aiming for a 200-mile-per-hour top speed for the CT5-V. That's not a stretch, as the last-generation CTS-V could hit that speed, too. Cadillac smartly took this shot in a way that blurs the center console, which means there's plenty more time to speculate on the transmission choices. Cadillac says the V-Series Blackwing models will be ready in time for the summer of 2021. Stay tuned. Related Video: Â
