owner, has been consistent over the years, and has remained with the car today. Fans know that Elvis Presley loved
Cadillacs, and he really loved flashy Cadillacs. He also made sure they were modified to his taste. Everyone has
heard the true story of Elvis and June Juanico flying to a Houston, TX. Cadillac dealer June 12, 1956, and buying
a white 1956 Eldorado Biarritz convertible with black interior. He immediately turned it over to his customizer,
Jimmy Sanders, of Memphis. He squashed a handful of grapes on the fender and told Jimmy that was the color he
wanted. Hence, his purple convertible came to be. He also changed the interior to white roll and pleated leather.
The coupe in this ad, according to verbal history, was purchased and given by Presley to his manager, Colonel Tom
Parker. The car was an unimpressive green and white with green and white interior. Presley bought the car, then
stipulated that it be repainted red and white and a red and white interior installed. Later, Elvis also gave Parker
a 1975 Blue Cadillac Seville, that displayed the TN. license plate “ADMIRAL”. Clean southern body. Paint is good driver quality, some older and some newer blend work on the quarters. Mandan red
and alpine white two tone. Dual rear antennas. EZ Eye safety glass is in good condition. White sidewall tires and
Eldorado saber spoked wheel covers. Chrome and stainless is in good condition. Tasteful pin striping on hood and
deck lid. Fit and gapping is all good.
Red and white leather interior. Seats and cushions in good condition. Door panels in good condition. Interior
chrome trim is in good condition. Would clean up more with a little work. Original steering wheel is in good
condition, with a few cracks. Power windows. Air conditioning. Signal seeking radio. Autronic Eye headlamp dimmer.
Aftermarket tachometer mounted on the eye. Overall nice interior, comfortable, good looking, and well appointed.
365 Cu. In. Cadillac engine. Engine and engine bay are primarily in stock configuration. The exceptions- the Carter
WCFB carburetor has been replaced with an Edelbrock Competition Series four barrel. The bat wing air cleaner has
been replaced with a chrome pie pan type. Upgraded to electronic ignition. Dual exhaust. Hydra-Matic automatic
transmission.
Trunk area is clean and solid as a rock. Undercarriage is not detailed, but is also clean and solid.
This is the chance to own a car that most Cadillac enthusiasts would love to have. It is rare, unique, and
investment quality. Priced significantly under book value, leaving plenty on the table if you choose to do some
more restoration work. Runs and drives as well as it looks. Don’t hesitate.

Cadillac Oscars ad shows none of its cars or trucks

Wed, Feb 18 2015

Can you sell something without actually showing the product in an ad? While this sounds like a question that Don Draper might have, Cadillac apparently thinks it's possible with at least one of the brand's three upcoming Oscars commercial. Days after whiting-out the company's social media presence in preparation for the new campaign, some of the advertising is finally here. Titled Dare Greatly, the first released spot goes for a stripped down, minimalist aesthetic. The entire piece is made up of voiceover and ambient noise set over slow-motion driving shots of New York City. Viewers catch a few out-of-focus glances at a Cadillac interior, but otherwise the only vehicles in the commercial are the ones parked along the street. The speech that is the centerpiece of the ad is all about the glory in just making an attempt, rather than criticizing others. "There is no effort without error and shortcoming," it says at one point. According to The Detroit Free Press, the text comes from a lecture by Teddy Roosevelt in 1910 at the Sorbonne in Paris. Cadillac's commercial never actually attributes the words to the former president, but the company is playing up the connection on social media. The full 1:30 version of the spot is already streaming online, but Cadillac is cutting the commercial into 30-second and 60-second versions to air during the Oscars, according to The Detroit Free Press. Of the brand's two other ads during the awards show, at least one of them shows the company's vehicles.

2021 Cadillac Escalade ESV will debut at the New York Auto Show

Wed, Feb 5 2020

LOS ANGELES, California — Cadillac pulled the wraps off its 2021 Escalade today at an event in Los Angeles, and we were there to see it all play out live and in living color. But while we have some specifications for the long-wheelbase ESV version, that model wasn't on display. According to the automaker, the next-generation Escalade ESV will get a formal debut at the 2020 New York Auto Show in April. The 2021 Cadillac Escalade ESV will boast a wheelbase of 134.1 inches and an overall length of 226.9 inches, making it 15.9 inches longer than the standard Escalade and 5 inches longer than the similarly extended Lincoln Navigator L. That extra length translates into 1.7 additional inches of third-row legroom and 17.4 more cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row over the standard Escalade. We expect the ESV will get the same two powertrain options as other Escalade models. The standard 6.2-liter V8 puts out 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. An optional 3.0-liter diesel-fueled inline-six will offer 277 hp and 460 lb-ft while delivering improved fuel efficiency over its gasoline-powered sibling. Both engines will be mated with 10-speed automatic transmissions. The 2021 Escalade will go on sale in late 2020. We're not yet sure if the extended ESV will come at the same time or be added later, but we ought to know more by its debut in April. Related Video:

Timely hole-in-one wins high schooler a Cadillac or $50,000

Wed, Jun 26 2019

If it happens at all, many golfers knock in hole-in-ones in the quiet of a mediocre local course while three friends sit in their carts drinking Coors Lights. After dreaming of the moment for years, lucky golfers barely have time to process the tremendous achievement before it's followed up with a double bogey on the next hole. That wasn't the case for high schooler Jack Kyger, who drilled an ace during a golf outing, and in turn, won a Cadillac or $50,000. Kyger, a junior at Harper Creek High School in Battle Creek, Mich., says he wasn't even considering a hole-in-one when he stepped up to the tee on the fourth hole at the Battle Creek Country Club. A secondary prize, a TV, would be awarded to the golfer who came closest to the pin, so Kyger was simply trying to get it close to the cup. In front of his dad and Harper Creek Superintendent Rob Ridgeway, he stuck the shot just past the hole, and with some backspin, it rolled into the pin. It's the first time somebody has hit the bullseye at the Gene Lewis Hughes, Sr. Memorial Golf Outing, which has raised more than $150,000 for the Bronson Battle Creek Cancer Care Center throughout the years. By hitting a hole-in-one, Kyger won a $50,000 decision: take home a Cadillac or a big bag of $50,000 in cash. As a student preparing to go to college, it's not an easy choice. "I haven't made up my mind," Kyger said in a USA Today article. "But the way I think about it, no 17-year-old needs a brand new Cadillac to drive around in. I have a truck that gets me places. So, if I take the cash, I would probably put most of it away for college, but keep a little back to have a bit of fun, you know." Smart kid. We did notice a peculiarity about the prize. In the attached photo, the Cadillac at the event appears to be a Cadillac ATS-V. Those familiar with Cadillac's performance vehicles know that an ATS-V starts at significantly more than $50,000 - $68,790 to be exact. So we're not sure why they're calling it a $50,000 Cadillac, unless it's a lightly used vehicle or the Cadillac in question is in fact a different car entirely. No matter the price, it sounds like Kyger is going to take the cash. If he sticks to practicing his golf game, maybe he can earn some more money for college, too.
