I always think it's nice to know a
little about who you are dealing with when it comes to making a big purchase so
here is a little history on Gardelli Motors.
Gardelli Motors is a mom and pop
operation based in London, Ontario Canada. My name is Paul and my wife is
Maria. You will always deal with one of us, not a sales person.
We're a mid size dealership that probably averages 40-50 cars in inventory
depending on the time of year. We have been in the car business for over
15 years now and started out with one lonely little car.
I can proudly tell you that we are one of the very
original car dealers to start selling cars on Ebay. We were selling
cars on Ebay.com before EbayMotors.com even existed. Vehicles was just a small
sub-category on Ebay.com. We were previously in the advertising
business so we took a little different approach to representing our cars online.
Back then sellers had very basic listings and only posted a few photos of their
car. It might be hard to believe but I can honestly tell you that we were the very first seller to go all out and put up what I called
extreme listings. We would routinely show over 100 photos of our cars.
This was unheard of back then. Did it
ever work well. Today most sellers use the same technique but we
were the first.
Ebay was actually the reason we got
in the car business. We were not even a car dealer when we starting
putting vehicles for sale on Ebay. We started by selling our own car and
then we helped a few friends sell their cars. They had been
trying for weeks with no luck. We put their cars on Ebay and had them sold in a
week. They couldn't believe it and to be honest neither could we.
The system worked so well that becoming a licensed dealer was the only logical
thing to do. The rest as they say is history.
I don't know where the time has gone
but it's been a pretty wild ride over the years having sold hundreds of vehicles of all
types to people literally all over the world and we've loved every minute of it.

All original. No paint work or previous
repair work. The paint shines like new with no significant scratches or
dings. The paint color looks absolutely amazing. I have never seen a car this
color before, you really need to see it in person to appreciate it. I'm
not sure what the official GM color name is but I call it pearl silver. It
really sparkles in the sun.
This car is fully loaded. Heated and Cooled seats. Dual climate control. Beige
leather that is in excellent condition. OnStar. Woodgrain trim. Beautiful high
gloss chrome clad alloy wheels. Premium sound with CD. Much much more. It
has not been smoked in. Everything works properly. This car comes
fully certified and e-tested to meet Ontario standards according to MTO laws and
regulations. Mechanically everything on the car is good. The brakes
and tires are all excellent. Everything works properly. I would not
hesitate to drive the car to Florida tomorrow. Come to think of it, that
sounds like a pretty good idea ! There are a couple of very small minor
imperfections which are photographed below. I will have the spots touched
up that are paint chips.

CANADIAN BUYERS

We are a government licensed
and registered automobile dealer in the province of Ontario, Canada. So there are a few minor additional costs
over an above the purchase price of the car. There is a $5 OMVIC transaction fee. Ontario buyers pay 13% HST tax. Out of province buyers pay
tax according to what province they are in and depending on if they ship or pick
up the vehicle. If the vehicle is shipped, you only pay 5% GST.
If you pick up the vehicle we must charge 13% HST however you can claim back the
8% Provincial Tax from the Ontario Government if you live in a non HST province. This is the only legal way

Payment must be made by
wire transfer before the vehicle is released. This is very economical and
safe for both parties. We can not accept Pay Pal or credit cards. Due to the
large number of fraudulent bank drafts that have been passed in recent years if
you want to pay with a bank draft or certified cheque the funds must clear our

Development on the new presidential limo, oh-so appropriately nicknamed The Beast, is moving along at a GM proving ground. We got a brief glimpse of the Cadillac-badged rolling testament to safety and security late in February thanks to some clever drone work. We now have a new batch of ground-level photos that show the limo cruising around, presumably being put through the vehicle equivalent of boot camp. Currently, President Trump is making do with the first-generation Beast. While still likely safer than anything else on the road, it's starting to be a bit dated. In addition to the updated styling that makes it look like a comically oversized Cadillac CT6, The Beast v2.0 is likely packing a whole new suite of technology and safety equipment. That's just an assumption, as there's no press release with a full list of features. We can't imagine that the government would want everyone knowing what's beneath The Beast's skin. Expect Trump's ride to have reinforced doors, extra-thick glass, and even a filtration system that would protect against a biological attack. There's speculation that it's equipped with tear-gas cannons, similar to one of James Bond's rides. Even the relatively normal-looking tires are likely to be strengthened in some way, allowing them to still roll if punctured. Add up all of the extra reinforcement, and the truck-based ride is likely to have a mass that's equivalent to a small moon. All that tech doesn't come cheap. Expect The Beast to cost taxpayers somewhere around $1.5 million. Hey, it's still less than the new Bugatti Chiron. Texas filed a lawsuit Tuesday against GM over years of alleged abuse of customers' data and trust. New car owners were presented with a "confusing and highly misleading" process that was implied to be for their safety, but "was no more than a deceptively designed sales flow" that surrendered their data for GM to sell. The suit contends that at no point was selling driving data ever even suggested as a possibility, putting GM in violation of the state's consumer protection laws. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is seeking a jury trial and at least $10,000 per offense (every GM car sold in the state since 2015) and a hefty add-on of $250,000 in cases where the victim was over 65. Texas seems to be flying high after a recent $1.4 billion settlement from Meta over other privacy concerns. This may well be a way to solve any pending budgetary issues in the Lone Star State.

DETROIT - After nearly four weeks of disruptive strikes and hard bargaining, the United Auto Workers and the Detroit Three automakers have edged closer to a deal that could offer record-setting wage gains for nearly 150,000 U.S. workers. General Motors, Ford Motor and Chrysler parent Stellantis have all agreed to raise base wages by between 20% and 23% over a four-year deal, according to union and company statements. Ford and Stellantis have agreed to reinstate cost-of-living adjustments, or COLA. The companies have offered to boost pay for temporary workers and give them a faster path to full-time, full-wage status. All three have proposed slashing the time it takes a new hire to get to the top UAW pay rate. The progress in contract talks follows the first-ever simultaneous strike by the UAW against Detroit's Big Three automakers. The union began the strike on Sept. 15 in hopes of forcing a better deal from each major automaker. But coming close to a deal is not the same thing as reaching a deal. Big obstacles remain on at least two major UAW demands: restoring the retirement security provided by pre-2007 defined benefit pension plans, and covering present and future joint- venture electric vehicle battery plants under the union's master contracts with the automakers. On retirement, none of the automakers has agreed to restore pre-2007 defined-benefit pension plans for workers hired after 2007. Doing so could force the automakers to again burden their balance sheets with multibillion-dollar liabilities. GM and the former Chrysler unloaded most of those liabilities in their 2009 bankruptcies. The union and automakers have explored an approach to providing more income security by offering annuities as an investment option in their company-sponsored 401(k) savings plans, people familiar with the discussions said. Stellantis referred to an annuity option as part of a more generous 401(k) proposal on Sept. 22. Annuities or similar instruments could give UAW retirees assurance of fixed, predictable payouts less dependent on stock market ups and downs, experts said. Recent changes in federal law have removed obstacles to including annuities as a feature of corporate 401(k) plans, said Olivia Mitchell, a professor at the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School and an expert on pensions and retirement. "Retirees want a way to be assured they won't run out of money," Mitchell said.
