This Car is also being listed locally , So I do reserve the right to end the auction at any time.

This Cadillac is well documented, and will come with loads of service records, owners manual, and the protecto plate.
This caddy was keep in one family all its life till just recently, it was keep in great shape. Nothing has been redone, orig. paint ,interior etc. just basic service things were done through the years. Chrome is nice, light lens nice. Trim and emblems are all there and in good shape. Has A/C but has not been converted. Recently  had new plugs, points, condenser, and cap&rotor installed.

Keep in mind this is a 43 year old car that has not been messed with, the paint is nice but has normal wear for the age few small nicks & light scratches. One small area  about 1" in size on front by hood that has been touched up by previouse owner. The body is very nice considering it is original- only a few areas that need attention - Driver side lower front fender close to were it bolts on at the bottom has a area about 3.5"tall  x 8" or so long that could use a small patch, also same spot on the passenger side, but not as bad. I have a sheet of patch steel already marked to be cut that will  come with the car to repair these areas. Other then that the only other area  is the trunk lid top has some patina rust, just needs sanded and painted. That is the worst of it all. Has one little ding in the rubber piece on the rear bumper-hardly noticeable,  one small ding on the passenger side fender hardly noticeableband one small ding on the driver side door.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               It has good doors, door jams, good rockers, Good rear quarters , nice chrome.  Also has a trailer hitch  option that was installed be the previous owner nice extra feature if you plan on going to shows, if you do not want it on you could remove it,  Normal surface rust under the hood around inner edges, floor pans from what I can tell are good, trunk pan is good( has some light surface rust but no rot,) all these things are not that bad , just wanting to give as much detail as possible.  For a caddy this old, these are minimal cosmetic things. Whit top is in decent shape-still looks nice but has normal wear for the age, a few small bubbles starting on rear  area close to back window.

The Interior: Again Original- Nice Dash, Old Carpet (normal wear-but overall nice ) Seats- Nice only found one small area on driver seat with a little tear(common area on most cars- I think it could be sewed up) all the gadgets seem to work good including the power windows. Has the radio, speakers are old, and could stand to be replaced. Good Glass & Trim. Headlinner- all there, Looks pretty good, Normal wear.

Engine- Very nice Big block 472, Runs good nice big block sound. Lots of power.  Could use cleaned up a bit but operates nice, Has New points, plugs, condenser, cap and rotor, Newer master cylinder, ,and other basic tune up items. Transmission shifts smooth, Brakes stop good.

Pretty decent tires, I am sure I forgot a few things, so just ask if you need any further info.

So overall- Original Car, not show room, but nice survivor, petty clean Runs/Drives, great chance to get an original!

Vehicle must be picked up by the buyer at its current location in Anderson INDIANA, I will not be hauling it., or shipping it . If you live far away  you would probably want to haul it due to gas prices -big blocks are not the most economical on gas. I have been driving it around and it does fine, but it was setting a while one I first got it.  Added high octane gas and tune up, seems to be good but if it were me I would haul it.

Woman thwarts car thieves by jumping on hood

Fri, May 26 2017

When a pack of car thieves tried to steal a Milwaukee-area woman's car at a gas station, she didn't run for help. Oh no. She hulked out, jumped on the hood, and screamed her head off until the thief finally ran off. According to WISN, Melissa Smith was gassing up her white Subaru Outback at a BP station near Milwaukee's historic Third Ward on the afternoon of May 24. As she stood there pumping gas and minding her own business, a black Cadillac swung slowly around the front of the Subie and came to a stop just off the front left corner. As Smith turned her back to hang up the pump nozzle, a dude bailed out of the Caddy, crouched down, and snuck into the Outback's driver's seat. "I didn't see him till I saw him get into my car. Or someone was in my car, and had my, 'Oh, hell this isn't happening to me today' moment," Smith told WISN. As soon as she saw the thief in her car, Smith ran around the front then leaped on to the hood. She started yelling and pounding on the windshield as the thief tried to pull away from the pump, but he refused to stop. He tried a couple quick stops in an attempt to shake her off, but to no avail. "He looked at me, and he laughed at me, which really irritated me," Smith said. "He was laughing while I was on my car, and he was trying to throw me off, so zero remorse." Smith clung to the Subaru, shouting and pounding until the thief gave up. He abandoned ship, jumped back into the Caddy, and the group of thieves sped away. Unfortunately, when the thief bailed he left the Subie in gear with Smith still holding on for dear life. "Then I had to chase my car into the street and stop it before it hit somebody else," Smith said. Thankfully, Smith was unharmed in the incident, but the crooks got her purse, phone, wallet, and sunglasses. Milwaukee police are still looking for the suspects, who they say stole the black Caddy before trying to steal Smith's Subaru. Off-road Cadillac Escalade adds some extra bush country capability

Wed, 26 Jun 2013

So, you're a dyed-in-the-wool General Motors fan, but like the notion of a machine like the Hennessey Velociraptor. We have good news for you. Behold the Aria Coachworks XPLORE Cadillac Escalade. For a modest fee, Aria will outfit your Escalade with a custom suspension, BF Goodrich all-terrain tires wrapped around aluminum wheels, a Warn winch and a special exhaust. There's even a snorkel option for those of you with aspirations toward deep water crossings. Consider yourself warned, however: unlike other GMT900 SUVs, the Cadillac only has an all-wheel drive system, not the more rugged four-wheel drive setup of the Chevy Tahoe and GMC Yukon). Outside, the luxury SUV gets matte paint, black chrome trim, XPLORE power running boards and a roof rack system.
The interior also receives a few fun changes as well, but we're more interested in the fact that buyers can snag a power roof top tent. You know, in case you need to camp out at Best Buy for the PS4. There's also a matching camp trailer and, our personal favorite, a matching BMW GS motorcycle. Bikes not your bag of tricks? That's fine. Aria will also sell you a matched Airstream trailer or Old Town wooden canoes. As much as we want to hate this, we love the notion of bashing through the woods in a $100,000 Cadillac battlewagon with our GS in tow. Check the press release below for more information.

Mark Reuss: GM can't afford product 'misses,' has 'thought about' CT6 V-Series

Thu, Apr 9 2015

Mark Reuss is a busy man. He oversees General Motors' global product portfolio, an all-encompassing task for a company that sold more than 9.9 million cars and trucks last year. When GM launches a well-received product, like the road-going rocket ship that is the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 – he gets credit. When the company stumbles with the slow-selling Chevy Malibu or grapples with fallout from the decade-old Saturn Ion and its flawed ignition switch, he gets blamed. GM owners, the press and sometimes the federal government, demand answers. Bob Lutz famously held the job before Reuss. So did Mary Barra, who's now GM's chief executive. There's a New GM, but the lineage is connected to a long history. When he's not thinking product, Reuss, an executive vice president, also runs the purchasing and supply chain for the company, which is still one of the largest industrial empires in the world. We caught up with Reuss on the floor of the New York Auto Show, where GM had just rolled out two crucial new products: the 2016 Cadillac CT6 and the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu. Speaking with a small group of reporters, Reuss delved into a variety of subjects, including the new Malibu, Cadillac's future (he thinks the ATS-V is going to "flame the M3 and M4"), and other topics. On fixing the Malibu: "We can't miss. We can't have those kinds of misses [like the previous generation] on our cars and crossovers and trucks. We can't do that. If we do that, we give a reason for someone to go buy something else. It's that simple. "On a car like the Malibu we have a chance to really fix all of that, which we have, and then lead. Then you've got a real opportunity there. So that's what we've really been focused on here – to fix those things." He later added: "We need that car here to transform Chevrolet desperately because it's the heart of the market. And when you think of Chevrolet, people will come back and think about what we did with the [new] Malibu and the Cruze... It's hugely important to us." On Cadillac: "If we go out and try and out-German the Germans, it's probably not going to work. We've got an opportunity here generationally where there's a lot of people younger than me that have parents that drove BMWs and Mercedes, and I think there's an opportunity there for those people to drive something different than what their parents did, and I think that's always been an opportunity in the auto industry if you look at the history of it.
