1969 Cadillac Coupe Deville Convertible on 2040-cars
Chula Vista, California, United States
|
Reduced for quick sale!! Great price, Great color, everything works, top, windows, etc.
This 1969 Cadillac Deville Convertible has that low slung 2 door look, while giving you the size and comfort you'd expect from a Vintage Classic Cadillac. The mechanics of this car are very good. Engine was rebuilt a few years ago. It has the original 472 Cubic Inch V8 pushing 375 HP with 80k original miles and is a matching numbers car. All of the major systems work well, including the lights, signals, heat, and overall things in the car just feel good. It starts right up, idles nicely, the transmission shifts nicely, and the top works automatically and as intended. The interior will need to be replaced eventually...I know someone who will do an amazing job at an affordable rate. It's currently in passable condition. I had plans to do the investment on the interior myself however I'm working on a different project at the moment. The body is in good condition and the pans, rockers, body panels, and other areas in good condition. Just installed brand new Hankook Whitewalls! The car has usual minor issues that come with a 45 year old car, you can drive the car and enjoy it while you do the work to make it better. Overall the paint shines nicely. Could you repaint for a show car? Of course. Why do this? Just drive it and enjoy it. Overall this car runs nice, drives nice, has a good working top, and a body in good condition. Please feel free to e-mail/text/or call for more info or pics (619) 379-6521...I don't plan on keeping it for long, make me an offer! |

Seinfeld and Don Rickles stretch out in classic Caddy for latest CiCGC
Thu, 04 Jul 2013It's no surprise that for the newest episode of Jerry Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, airing for the first time on the 4th of July, that a couple of American classics are involved. You'll Never Play the Copa unites Seinfeld with legendary curmudgeon Don Rickles, driving around in a stunner of a 1958 Cadillac Eldorado Seville in Gleneagles Green (upholstery wrapped in Grandma-spec plastic, of course).
Mr. Rickles really steals the show in this one - maybe our favorite CiCGC to date - though the Eldorado plays a strong-jawed costarring role, for sure. Stories about Ronald Regan, Frank Sinatra, Billy Graham and, of course, Herkie Styles are more than worth the price of admission. Check it out below.

Is Lincoln MKC cutting into Cadillac SRX sales?
Tue, 07 Oct 2014The two big American luxury brands of Cadillac and Lincoln are on surprisingly similar paths at the moment with both divisions hoping to redefine themselves and grow popularity. They're still early in the process with no clear winner yet, but things might actually be looking up for Lincoln's latest model, according to a monthly sales analysis from The Motley Fool. It seems, at least early on, that the new MKC crossover might be taking a bite out of the Cadillac SRX's growth.
The MKC launched just a few months ago and has been getting a big marketing push from a series of oft-mocked ads starring the smooth-talking Matthew McConaughey. The luxury CUV has been the popular, new kid on the block with growing sales since its introduction. While smaller than the SRX, the Lincoln starts at a lower price and offers better fuel economy.
Through June, the SRX performed well with sales up over 20 percent on average through June, according to The Motley Fool. However, July and August saw things plummet with year-over-year drops of 7 percent and 37 percent, respectively. It still far outsold the MKC in terms of actual units in a given month, but the Caddy's continued growth has appeared to stagnate.
