1967 Cadillac De Ville 429cid Automatic Convertible

This is my neighbors beautiful Cadillac De Ville, for sale after 30 years of ownership.
Current owner is the third owner beside his own brother and the original purchaser to the best of our knowledge.

This car has never seen bad weather. It has been in heated storage and only out of storage for 4 months a year.

The engine was rebuilt approximately 12 years and 20k miles ago. Transmission was rebuilt 3 years ago.
The top was replaced 15 years ago. But this vehicle looks and sounds like it was done more recently because of it's minimal use.

Locally driven while out of storage, the brakes are adjusted annually and the oil is changed every Spring and Fall.

Last year the carburetor was rebuild and a new windshield was installed.

The odometer shows 73,399 but stopped working 2 years ago.

25 years ago my neighbor purchased a 1967 Cadillac De Ville as a parts car and stripped many parts in good condition.
They have always been in storage and include:

1 convertible top frame with struts and rear window, 2 radiators, 1 A/C compressor with hoses and condenser, 4 steel wheels with hub caps, various chrome moldings, 2 flywheels with flywheel cover, water pump, hose, fan & clutch, exhaust manifolds, complete steering linkage, power steering pump, distributor, valve covers, intake manifold, dash cover and grill, corner windows, motors, regulators, power antennae, fender shirts, dash instrument panels, 1 wiring harness.

This is the best parts list I could make looking through boxes. There are more spare parts.

This Cadillac has been treated very well for it's entire life. After 30 years the owner is ready to part with it.
It has been doing less driving over the past several years and more washing.

It would be a great car for anyone looking for an older Cadillac convertible.
As you drive down the street everyone will wave at you and give you the thumb's up.

Cadillac CT6 uses aluminum to save 200 pounds

Sun, Mar 15 2015

In Cadillac's recently launched ad campaign, the luxury brand's tagline is "Dare Greatly," and the two words suggest a brand willing to take big swings, even if they don't always connect. From what the company is promising, the forthcoming CT6 seems like an embodiment of that new motto. With an eventual range of turbocharged engines, reportedly including a turbo V8, a possible plug-in hybrid and streaming rearview mirror, the sedan is certainly pitched as tech showcase. Of course, extensive use of aluminum is practically mandatory to play in the luxury field these days, and Caddy is proving its latest creation can do that too. Despite the weighty appearance of the sedan's squared-off exterior, 64 percent of the CT6 is aluminum, including the entire exterior. Caddy claims that using so much of the lightweight metal sheds 198 pounds off the scales compared to using conventional steel. There still is some steel in the CT6; although it's predominately the high-strength variety. The engineers use the heavier metal for portions around the cabin and B-pillar for added safety. Cadillac also claims using steel "close-out panels" on lower portions of the sedan make the cabin quieter without needing as much sound deadening. The buildup to the CT6's public unveiling has been a long time coming after Cadillac pinned the flagship (for now) sedan's debut at the New York Auto Show nearly a year ago. When the sheet finally comes off on March 31, we get the first good idea about just how great Caddy's latest act of daring really is. Cadillac CT6 Elevates the Science of Mass Efficiency 2015-03-13 Technology DETROIT – Cadillac will use an advanced mixed-material approach for the lightweight body structure of the upcoming CT6 range-topping sedan. The structure is aluminum intensive, but the new Cadillac also includes 13 different materials customized for each area of the car to simultaneously advance driving dynamics, fuel economy and cabin quietness. The CT6 will debut March 31 at the New York International Auto Show and go into production late this year at General Motors' Detroit-Hamtramck assembly plant. "This is the rocket science of automobile construction and manufacturing today," said Cadillac President Johan de Nysschen.

2016 Cadillac ATS-V brandishes 450 horses and 6-speed manual

Tue, 11 Nov 2014

Details about the hotly anticipated 2016 Cadillac ATS-V are tumbling out, and they look to be everything we could ask for in a high-performance Caddy coupe.
According to Road & Track, the ATS-V will use a version of the twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V6 from the CTS Vsport, but the wick will be turned up to 450 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. In glorious news for driving enthusiasts everywhere, that potent mill will be available with either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic.
According to R&T, the engine has a heap of high-performance tech to let it make the extra ponies, including titanium connecting rods, two water-to-air intercoolers, titanium turbines for the turbos and an additional radiator dedicated to cooling the gearbox and electronically locking differential. Keeping it all planted are a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, and a suspension with 50 percent more roll stiffness.

Cadillac boss: Don't ask why we have so many sedans

Tue, Dec 1 2015

Ugh, crossovers. Car-based, high-riding station wagons, for some reason, sell in absurd numbers and make automakers lots and lots of money. That's why automakers with a strong lineup of CUVs are running strong, while sedan-heavy brands are struggling. Cadillac is all too aware of this fact. While the company is preparing to launch the new CT6 luxury sedan, it's also realizing four sedans, a coupe, a crossover, and a $73,000, old-school, body-on-frame SUV does not a healthy lineup make. Worse, though, as Cadillac President Johan de Nysschen rued during the LA Auto Show, is that the new CT6 is joining a segment already oversaturated. While it's a big, expensive vehicle, it's not much bigger or more expensive than the CTS and XTS sedans. "Please don't ask me why we have three cars in the same segment," de Nysschen said, stopping midway through an interview with Automotive News on the CT6's market placement to make the crack. "That's a whole different subject." As for those CUVs, the new XT5 debuted in LA, and it will eventually be joined by another much-needed CUV in 2018, AN reports. Related Video:
