Up for sale is a 2004 Cadillac Cts. This is the 3.6 liter engine and it is rear wheel drive. It is black on black with 161,xxx miles. It is my daily driver so mileage may vary by the time you get it.

I bought the car from a friend with the intention to fix it up and flip it but I fell in love with it and have been driving it for the last month. It is a gorgeous, very well driving car. All of the things you would expect are there. Ice cold a/c and nice sound system w/subwoofer.

I am selling it because I am putting more time into it than my other projects which you can see in the background of the first picture. If I had more room I would keep the car. I am in no hurry to sell it though and will not accept low ball offers. I am well versed in blue book and black book prices of cars since I have bought and sold quite a few cars between eBay and Craigslist.

You won't find a better deal on this car with this color combination in this condition.

The great:
A/c is ice cold

Brand new high quality windshield wiper blades

Stereo is very loud and has bass

The seats are in very good condition, especially for a car with 160k miles. There are no tears anywhere and only one sign of wear on the drivers seat. I challenge you to find a nicer interior with equal miles.

Tires have plenty of life left on them

Brakes will be good to go for a while

Drives straight and strong

Oil change 3 weeks ago!

I meticulously went through the car since I've had it and made sure everything important is working and in great condition. The trunk is clean and has a full size spare. (Not pictured)

The bad:
A couple minor dings

Some scratches on body in different places

Passenger side of front bumper was hit. As you can see in the pic it's a simple, fill the small hole and touch up paint, job. I just don't have time to literally wait for paint to dry. This is a small project for the next owner.

Small dent on drivers side rear wheel well. Easily popped out I just don't have the tool and don't want to pay a shop to fix something so small.

Stereo knob is a little loose and sometimes takes some playing with but it works fine. Having to spin the dial an extra time is not a cause for a discount.

Things to address:
The engine shroud was sprayed black and the taillights were lightly blacked out.
The paint on the shroud isn't holding up in the Florida heat but it has a nice look and its a simple fix if you want to respray it just lightly sand it and use automotive glossy black paint. $8 a can.

I will only be listing this car ONCE. If it doesn't sell I will just keep it and make room for it. I am not the type of person that relists items so if you are waiting for me to drop the price, you might as well look somewhere else. If you want any pictures of specific things please message me and I should post them soon.

I have plenty of experience selling cars and I know how the dance works. If you don't find my price acceptable by all means submit an offer, but any lowball offers will be instantly rejected. I know this is the cheapest 2004 black on black 3.6l cts in this condition on the Internet, I've looked around. You will not be disappointed when you get the car.

Buyer must arrange shipping or pick up. I will deliver the car within 25 miles to a shipper or bank. I entertain people to come see the car in person if you live near me. If you are within 50 miles of 33405 and want to see it just message me.

A non refundable deposit must be made when you purchase the car and the remaining balance must be paid in full via PayPal BEFORE you organize shipping or you come pick up the car. I WILL NOT accept cash or check/money order in person. I tried that once and It didnt work out.

Please see my seller feedback and know that I do not misrepresent my items. Especially my cars. I am a professional and as long as you act professional as well, this will be a smooth and pleasant transaction.

If you have any questions at all  please message me. If I think of anything else to mention I will update the listing

I never registered the car in my name so when you buy the car you will get the title and bill of sale from me to you. If you would like a copy of the bill of sale from my friend to me I will have no problem doing that for you. You will not have ANY problems registering the car in your name, if the DMV give you trouble feel free to have them call me anytime.

UPDATE 1:
I noticed eBay's autocheck isn't recognizing the car. Feel free to Carfax it anytime.

UPDATE 2:
Price dropped $100 which is the amount it will cost to fix all of the exterior blemishes including the front bumper. Now this is the best deal for this car online, don't pass it up.

Cadillac CT6 to get twin-turbo V8

Wed, Feb 25 2015

Say what you will about his decisions at Infiniti and now Cadillac, but Cadillac CEO Johan de Nysschen knows how to deliver a compelling interview. During an online Q&A session with Jalopnik readers, de Nysschen offered substantial hints at what's coming for the brand. By dropping coordinates on the brand's star chart, in reading the entire thing and connecting the dots you can see a Cadillac that is much grander than the one we know now. The CT6 that got revealed during the Oscars telecast? Answering the question of whether it would have the performance to compete with a Mercedes S550 or BMW 750, de Nysschen said the big sedan's "lightweight body structure allows us to achieve formidable performance even with a twin-turbo V6. Imagine how this car would perform with a twin-turbo V8." In clarifying a subsequent question that also dealt with how the CT6 would compare to German rivals, he wrote that the CT6 would have "a very wide mix of engines, starting with a two-liter turbo, up to, eventually, a high-performance advanced V8 turbo." Patience and the future and the word "eventually" were heavy themes. The brand will embrace diesel engines as well, de Nysschen writing, "We will have four-cylinder and six-cylinder diesel engines, but not before 2019." As to the return of something like the XLR, which was Corvette muscle underneath a Cadillac body, he wrote, "I think in the fullness of time, we will get around to developing a high-performance, very-emotive sports car as a halo for the Cadillac brand. But we have so many projects to occupy us through 2020 that this will have to wait a little while." And on the design language across model lines, which enthusiast Cassandras have warned is too similar (as if that hasn't worked out for the Germans), he wrote that it is "undergoing gradual evolution and you will notice stunning new designs in future models, which remain unmistakably Cadillac and reflect our DNA but which take our sophisticated Art and Science design to a new level." But of course he would say that, which is what brings us back to patience and the future and eventually, when we'll see what this all really means. It all reads well enough, and we'd love to see it happen. One thing we won't see are the ducks that once adorned the Cadillac crest; when a reader asked if he could have them back, de Nysschen said, "No, you can't have them back. I play with them each night in my bath." Head over to Jalopnik for the full read. It's worth it.

Johan responds to critics again about Cadillac's NY move

Wed, 15 Oct 2014

Cadillac's new President Johan de Nysschen has faced a fair amount of criticism since assuming his position at the head of the American luxury manufacturer. From the company's move to New York City to a controversial new naming scheme, the first few months of his tenure have not been smooth sailing. Now, the embattled exec is firing back against his critics, notably Automotive News Editor-in-Chief Keith Crain, in a new column running in AN.
De Nysschen countered Crain's claim that the move to the Big Apple, "can only mean that someone wants to live in New York."
"The relocation decision is entirely unrelated to the personal living preferences of any Cadillac executive. No corporation would tolerate such indulgence by its leadership," de Nysschen wrote. "It is about structurally entrenching a challenge to the status quo by reinforcing the psychological and physical separation in business philosophy between the mainstream brands and GM's luxury brand."

Trucks and tidbits from GM's earnings report

Wed, Feb 6 2019

General Motors announced this morning that 2018 was a good year for it financially, thanks in large part to the company's performance in North America, which was predicated, according to the company, on "strong pricing, surging crossover sales, successful execution of the company's full-size truck launch, growth of GM Financial earnings, and disciplined cost control." GM reported full-year income of $8.1 billion and EBIT-adjusted income of $11.8 billion. Crossover sales in 2018 were 1,034,808, an increase of 7 percent compared to 2017 deliveries. Throw in the body-on-frame SUVs and the ute number is a total 1,295,700. But let's face it: It is the trucks that really matter. The Chevy Silverado and Colorado, the GMC Sierra and Canyon. Altogether, GM sold 973,463 pickups in the U.S. in 2018. Although Ford gets bragging rights for F-Series sales, GM gets to point out that it has a greater aggregate number. An important factor regarding the trucks and the reported income is that during the last quarter, more than 90 percent of the new 2019 trucks were crew cabs (which have a higher sticker), and at GMC more than 70 percent were Denali and AT4 models (which have even higher stickers). According to reporting by Bloomberg, GM's pickup trucks combine for $65 billion in annual revenue. Clearly when the 2018 sales of the Silverado — 585,581— dwarf the combined sales of both Buick (206,863) and Cadillac combined (154,702), pickups are what matter to the overall health of the company in a way that it is difficult to otherwise achieve. The "disciplined cost control" is something that is very much in the public eye right now, as the company is taking out thousands of its workers, and there is still the "unallocated" plant situation and other plants that will remain under capacity. The numbers in GM's earnings report probably made Unifor members' heads explode in consternation, coming fresh off their Super Bowl ad: " GM, you may have forgotten our generosity, but we'll never forget your greed." But there are a couple of curiosities in the full GM earnings release. One is that so far as its autonomous efforts go, it mentions only that (1) in the first quarter of 2018 Cruise introduced a production-ready autonomous vehicle, and (2) Cruise attracted $5 billion in external capital from SoftBank and Honda. Not a whole lot of love for autonomy. Good thing they have the trucks to fund the program, to say nothing of the external capital.
