1985 Cadillac Seville. 113,000 original miles. Very clean and garage kept car. This Cadillac has only had three owners. Spent its whole life in southern California, and southern Utah. The paint is original and like new. NO RUST! Chrome bumpers, trim and brightwork shine like new.Tires are top of the line Michelins with @80%tread left. Interior is also very nice. All of the power accessories work great. Power seats, power windows, automatic power antennae, heated power mirrors. The Climate control works as it should. The special order Bose Symphony Sound works as well. This car has the "High Tech" 4100 (4.1L) All of the maintenance seems to have been done at the correct intervals. The coolant has been regularly replaced with the correct aluminum additive. The exhaust and muffler are new. The battery is a couple of years old. The trunk is very clean with the original space saver spare. The trunk latch works as it should. This car runs and drives very smoothly. It has plenty of power and shifts like new. The Seville has 4 wheel disc brakes and 4 wheel independent suspension. A world class automobile, way ahead of its time for 1985. The bustle-back trunk is a striking design cue on these cars, almost a quintessential Cadillac profile of the '80's. These cars are getting harder to find, well maintained and in superb shape. This is a really nice example of a Cadillac Seville, but it is not without its small flaws. It has been recently professionally detailed but is still a 28 year old automobile. All of these photos have just been taken, the car is an exact representation of the photographs. Personal inspection of this vehicle is welcomed and encouraged. Out of state bidders, bid with confidence, that I have described this Cadillac to the best of my ability. I would happily answer any question someone might have. The reserve will be set relatively low for such a fine automobile. So bid to own. The winning bid is considered a legal and binding contract to buy.
Auto check shows issue? Should not be any discrepancies at all! Miles are actual and correct. Title is free and clear with NO problems. Original owner was a Doctor in southern California. Second owner was an older gentleman in Hurricane Utah. I have a hand written maintenance book with dates and maintenance performed on the car.

Cadillac CT6 styling will be evolutionary, not like Elmiraj
Wed, Dec 17 2014Well, this is at least a little disappointing. It turns out Cadillac's long-awaited flagship, the CT6, won't be ushering in a wholesale change in the company's design. That's coming from GM Design guru Ed Welburn, meaning it should be taken as gospel (unless of course he's just trying to hoodwink us). "It'll be different and it will certainly stand out in the portfolio," Welburn told Automotive News. "But you won't see a real shift in direction." Instead, Art and Science will be shown in yet another new form, and will "continue to evolve," according to Welburn, although what that means is unclear. What we can say for certain, though, is that Art and Science on the CT6 will not evolve into the stunning Elmiraj Concept. "I think Elmiraj was more of an influence on some other things we're working on for Cadillac," Welburn said, we're guessing with a smirk and an air of mystery. Considering we have yet to see the CT6, it's hard to tell whether this will be good news or bad, although based on the critical reception to the Elmiraj, we're a little bit disappointed by Welburn's statements. Still, only time will tell whether the styling of the CT6 will really work out.
New Takata problem results in recall of 414 GM vehicles
Mon, Oct 19 2015An airbag-inflator rupture discovered by Takata during testing has resulted in a new recall affecting 414 vehicles from General Motors, including 395 of them in the US. This latest campaign covers 2015 model-year examples of the Buick LaCrosse, Cadillac XTS, Chevrolet Camaro, Equinox, Malibu, and GMC Terrain. There are no reported breaks in any of these vehicles on the road, and the company estimates only one percent of them actually have the faulty parts. According to documents submitted to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (as a PDF), one side-airbag inflator failed a cold test at -40 Fahrenheit "releasing high pressure gas and propelling the separated components apart." The supplier told GM about the failure the next day. In these vehicles, the safety device might not only burst but the bag could inflate incorrectly, as well. GM and Takata say that a cause is not yet known, but they are "conducting an investigation." GM will begin notifying affected owners via overnight mail on Oct. 19. Dealers will replace the side airbag modules on all of the affected vehicles with new components outside of the suspect lot. All of the removed parts will also be collected for further study. Takata's faulty front airbag inflators have resulted in a serious scandal for the supplier. Initial figures indicated 34 million US vehicles are need of repair, though more recent figures have knocked that down to 23.4 million bad parts in 19.2 million automobiles. GM was already among the dozen automakers with models to fix, and some of its pickups were affected, along with the Saab 9-2X and Pontiac Vibe. GM Statement: General Motors is recalling 395 cars and crossovers in the U.S. because one of the front seat side air bags inflators may be defective. In the event of a deployment, the air bag's inflator may rupture and the air bag may not properly inflate. The rupture could cause metal fragments to strike the vehicle occupants, potentially resulting in serious injury or death. GM is unaware of any incidents involving vehicles with these components, which were part of a lot in which one inflator failed acceptance testing at the supplier. Dealers will replace the side air bag module or modules in affected vehicles. Including Canada, Mexico and exports, the total population of the recall is 414, GM estimates 1 percent of the recalled vehicles may have the defect.
Chrysler, Nissan looking into claim that their cars are industry's most hackable
Sun, 10 Aug 2014A pair of cyber security experts have awarded the ignominious title of most hackable vehicles on American roads to the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, 2014 Infiniti Q50 and 2015 Cadillac Escalade.
Charlie Miller and Chris Valasek are set to release a report at the Black Hat hacking conference in Las Vegas, Automotive News reports. The two men found the Jeep, Caddy and Q50 were easiest to hack based not on actual tests with the vehicles, but a detailed analysis of systems like Bluetooth and wireless internet access - basically, anything that'd allow a hacker to remotely gain access to the vehicle's systems.
Considering this lack of hands-on testing, the pair acknowledge that "most hackable" could be a relative term - they point out that the vehicles may actually be quite secure.
