You are bidding on one: 1976 Cadillac Seville. - needs tow.

This is a one-family car, garaged in North Carolina for 30 years. My grandmother's car, refurbished for my daughter, registered and insured until recently, clean title, this has been well-kept and a daily driver since 2011. (I cancelled the insurance and returned the plates in April)

I started it up a few times during the winter, always on the first turn. Super car with lots recently fixed; fuel pump, battery, tires, brakes and $4k in work since 2010.  Last week I made a deal to sell it for $3500 and got in, started it right up... it chugged a little so I added gas and drove around the neighborhood. All is well. It seemed there was no fuel so I added more and got ready to drive over... but it stopped. I cranked the started until it might have seized until I saw the holes.. rusted gas tank.. seized starter.. I don't want to deal with it. I have an offer for $750 if I tow it 4 miles so this is a chance to get it before I hire a flatbed.

Feel free to ask any questions you might have.

Body is excellent.
83K original miles.
Blue cloth interior, no damage.
8-track with cassettes

Here are the issues I know
rust where back window meets side panel, trim strip see photos
A/C not working, never cared.
Driver door interior panel is loose.
Driver seat power adjuster is disconnected... but works.
Stereo is 100% working but not connected due to aftermarket bluetooth unit override. Easily reconnected for stock.
Hole in gas tank
Battery drained but should still be good - warranty by NAPA
Some things that weren't needed 'emissions' have been disconnected, but I don't know engines.
..and a few other things.

Runs and starts fast. Fun car to drive.
I was with my father when he bought this one for his mother and it's been handed down in clean condition.

Cadillac considering more engines, Vsport model for Escalade

Tue, 15 Jul 2014

Want to roll in the latest Cadillac Escalade? You can get it with a 6.2-liter V8... or a 6.2-liter V8. Cadillac only offers the one engine option. But that may soon change.
According to the latest from Automotive News, Cadillac is contemplating a couple of new powertrain options for its blingin' big ute. The report suggests a twin-turbo V6 and a V6 turbodiesel could be offered, and that Cadillac could create a Vsport version of the Escalade like it offers on the new CTS sedan.
The more diverse engine offerings would help attract buyers from the new Lincoln Navigator, its prime competitor, which switched from a 5.4-liter V8 this year to a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6. The turbo V6 engines (both gasoline and diesel) would also help Cadillac market the Escalade overseas - particularly in Europe, where higher fuel prices preclude the prospect of driving a big V8 SUV for many buyers. Escalade sales have dropped from 35-40k units in the mid-2000s to around 12,000 the past couple of years.

Cadillac ATS-V Coupe caught undisguised ahead of LA reveal

Tue, 28 Oct 2014

Vsport versions of the CTS and XTS sedans are all well and good, but what Cadillac enthusiasts have really been looking forward to is the arrival of the next full-on V model. And here we have it.
Spied in the nude during an apparent photo shoot ahead of its anticipated debut at the fast-approaching Los Angeles Auto Show, the upcoming new Cadillac ATS-V Coupe is set to pick up where the old CTS-V left off, only in a more compact form. Unlike previous spy shots of heavily disguised prototypes, this final version is showing a chrome-framed mesh grille, along with a deep lower air dam with what looks to be a carbon-fiber front splitter. That bulging hood with heat extractor vents is tipped to be packing a twin-turbo V6 engine, breathing out of quad exhaust tips.
The aggressive aero kit also encompasses side skirts, a reshaped rear bumper and a lip spoiler on the truck, while the upgraded rolling stock wears serious low-profile rubber and the brakes appear to be carbon-ceramic units. Peer through the window and you can even see the sport bucket seats with slots for racing harnesses. All of which suggests a serious American challenger to the BMW M4 and its ilk, and we're looking forward to seeing the vehicle in the metal in LA next month.

2013 Cadillac ATS 3.6 AWD

All-Wheel, All Right
There is no escaping the luxury all-wheel drive empire Audi has built for itself over the past 15 years. While nearly every high-end marque has at least one offering with power at all four corners, the hardware can't help but play second fiddle to Ingolstadt's Quattro kingdom. Leather-lined all-wheel drive is simply Audi the way minimum wage is an English degree. But General Motors seems hell-bent on raiding as many established fiefdoms as possible with the 2013 Cadillac ATS. Engineers and designers made no secret of the fact that the baby Cadillac was penned specifically to take on the BMW 3 Series, but Audi should be no less concerned about the newest luxury prince from Detroit.
GM has been stuffing all-wheel drive systems under their vehicles for years, but the effort hasn't come without nasty side effects. Unfortunate understeer, extra ride height, smallish wheels and porky curb weight meant opting for all-wheel drive was like signing your driving pleasure's death warrant. Would you like polished brass or brushed nickel hardware for your right foot's coffin, sir?
