Beautiful silver 2006 Cadillac STS-V with 4.4L Supercharged Northstar V-8 engine, 469hp.

I am the original owner.  Car is 2006 model year; I purchased it brand new from the local Cadillac dealer in Charlotte, NC in early spring 2007.  I have always lived close to work and I also travel a lot for work, so this has been mostly a weekend car and I have definitely pampered it.

Car has never had any damage inside or outside.  Car has always been garaged, smoke-free environment and has always been serviced at the Cadillac dealer.  I have all the service records.  Car has every feature and option that was available on a 2006 STS-V.  Interior is black leather with the suede inserts.

Car has new Brembo brakes (pads and rotors, Cadillac dealer installed) and new Z-rated performance tires were installed on the rear wheels in June 2010 (at aproximately 17,000 miles) and new matching Z-rated performance tires were installed on the front wheels in January 2013.  All four tires carry a warranty and the warranty transfers with the car.

Stereo is an awesome premium Bose 5.1 Surround Sound system with 15 speakers and 6-disc CD/DVD changer, XM Satellite radio. Listening to concert DVDs in the car is phenominal.  Edmonds listed this as one of the 10 Best original equipment sound systems.

Dual-zone automatic climate control in the front and third zone controls for the rear seat passengers (new CTS-V sedan does not have third zone).  Front seats and rear seats are heated (new CTS-V sedan does not have heated rear seats).  Front driver and passenger power seats with power 4-way lumbar controls.  These seats are awesome; in fact, I think they are more comfortable and just as supportive as the $3,400 optional Recaro sport seats in the current model CTS-V.

Heated mirrors.  Driver can select one of the mirrors to automatically tilt when car is in reverse.

Rear-view parking camera was not available in 2006 model year, but the sensors work extremely well.

Memory settings for dash display, steering wheel position, mirrors and seats.  Two memory settings.

Remote start, keyless entry and security system.

Touch screen nav system with voice recognition for stereo functions.  I am in the market now for a new car and I like the entertainment/climate control interface better in this STS-V than in many of the new cars I have test-driven.

Clearl title in my name.

Cadillac XT6 three-row crossover spied hours after de Nysschen ousted

Wed, Apr 18 2018

Big news today from GM's luxury brand. Cadillac ousted Johan de Nysschen after four years at the helm. It's unclear exactly what let to his departure, but slumping sales and a lack of crossovers surely influenced GM's decision. Cadillac currently has one crossover and one SUV on sale. The Cadillac XT5 and Escalade will soon be joined by the smaller XT4. New spy shots show that the new three-row Cadillac XT6 will soon join the lineup. The new model is heavily camouflaged, but it's not difficult to make out Cadillac's corporate grille behind the covers. This still looks like a prototype car as both the headlights and taillights look like temporary units. The lower grille looks like it's hiding a radar sensor that's likely paired with the camera mounted in the windshield. The XT6 is likely to get Cadillac Super Cruise at some point. The XT6 looks longer than the midsize XT5 and should be roughly the size of the second-gen GMC Acadia. This should offer a more fuel-efficient alternative to the Escalade while still providing room for seven passengers. Look for a full debut this fall. Related Video:

GM, UAW poaching Nissan workers in Tennessee

Tue, Sep 8 2015

General Motors and the United Auto Workers are going on a recruitment drive at the Spring Hill factory in Tennessee, and they're hoping to poach some skilled workers from Nissan's nearby plant in Smyrna, TN. The General and the union even bought a billboard advertising for industrial electricians near the Japanese automaker's facility, according to the Daily News Journal. The reason for the billboard was simple. "GM was short of electricians," said Tim Stannard, the president of the UAW local at Spring Hill, to the Daily News Journal. The factory currently builds the Chevrolet Equinox but has a contract to assemble the next generation of Ecotec engines and the Cadillac XT5, which replaces the SRX. Thanks to the $185-million deal, employment there is expected to double by May 2016, according to Stannard, with roughly 1,800 additional union jobs. Beyond just several billboards, GM has job postings online for the Spring Hill plant looking for workers with specific skills. There has already been some interest in the positions among Nissan employees, Stannard indicated. According to a recent study by the Center for Automotive Research, the average GM worker currently makes $58 an hour, including benefits. Comparatively, Nissan pays an average of $42 an hour with benefits. The General's number could change in the coming weeks because its contract with the UAW is about to expire, and higher wages are among the major negotiating points.

Cadillac tipped to call flagship something other than LTS

Sun, 21 Sep 2014

Cadillac wouldn't be Cadillac without large sedans in its lineup, and while the XTS has had to hold down that end of the fort all on its own, it won't have to for too long. That's because the luxury brand in the General Motors portfolio is preparing to roll out its new LTS, stylistically previewed by the Elmiraj concept pictured above. Only now, the latest thinking is that the upcoming flagship model may not be called LTS at all.
As Automotive News points out, Cadillac's naming scheme is all over the place at the moment. The ATS slotting below the CTS makes sense (alphabetically), but where do the ELR, SRX and especially the Escalade fit into that naming hierarchy? And how would LTS - as the project has been known until now - sit above the XTS?
Fortunately, Cadillac may be on the case, as two of the division's most recent senior appointments seem keen to rationalize the naming scheme. One is Uwe Ellinghaus, who joined Cadillac as chief marketing officer late last year. Speaking of the brand's nomenclature last spring, Ellinghaus was quoted as saying, "We are aware that this is currently a weakness of the Cadillac brand." And his new boss is bound to agree.
