Up for auction is a 2006 Cadillac STS mechanics special. Here is a chance to buy a late model high end car for a fraction of what it would cost normally. We are the original owners of this Cadillac that we purchased for 56K back in 2006. In 2006 The STS was Cadillac's flagship car. This car is loaded with options including factory navigation, 10 disk Bose 5.1 Studio surround sound,CD/DVD, subwoofer, satellite radio, speakers built into seats,10 speaker system, custom 2 driver memory seats and mirrors, keyless entry and start, leather, hands free phone, 19" custom wheels, power sunroof , car also has 8 separate airbag systems, (side curtain, side seat impact, standard dual front, driver and pass. windshield post airbags, rear passenger side curtain air bags) Has separate driver and passenger climate control in front and rear, heated steering wheel, tire inflation monitoring system, HID lights, new brakes front and rear. Car drives like a dream(when running)tires replaced less than year ago. Interior is in excellent with beautifull wood grain. 3.6ltr V-6 255 hp. Traction control and stability control. Now here's the bad part. Car will not start. Wife bought a new BMW750 so we decided not to repair and just sell as is. This will be a VERY GOOD DEAL for someone. We are starting auction at $1.00 with no reserve so here is your chance to purchase a luxury car for a fraction of the cost. Car has 129kmiles. Car looks beautiful however does have body damage on left rear quarter panel as can be seen in photo. Would be very easy to repair body as we were given an estimate for $390 for body repair. As far as mechanical we have not had an estimate or attempted to other than to check for fuel pressure which it did not have so I'm assuming bad fuel pump. Car broke down and we purchased BMW and decided to sell as is. Car turns over fine, made no noises or anything when broke down. We had been debating on purchasing new BMW 750 so when my wife drive to work one day, upon getting in the car to return home it would not start so we had it towed home and decided it was time to pull the trigger on the new BMW. Car is being sold as is. We brought this car(Cadillac) brand new, so we are the original owner and have title in hand. We were very meticulous with maintenance. Carfax shows only 1 incident which is the minor damage shown on quarter panel, did not go through insurance due to damage not even cover $500 deductible . CAN ASSIST WITH SHIPPING

Cadillac could base its entry-level sedan on the Chevy Cruze [UPDATE]
Wed, Apr 27 2016UPDATE: Cadillac spokesperson Donny Nordlicht tells Autoblog , "The post speculating on a future Cadillac model derived from the Chevrolet Cruze is completely false." Premium automakers Mercedes-Benz and Audi have seen plenty of success with new small front-drive-based sedans. The CLA-Class had its best January ever this year, while Audi moved more of its new A3 in 2015 than its predecessor sold in 2005 through 2010 combined. The fact that Cadillac wants a piece of that pie is no surprise, then. There's a new rumor that GM's luxury brand could launch its own compact – possibly called CT2 – to battle the Germans. Cadillac, a brand that's pushed hard to rebuild its rear-drive reputation, could develop a new entry-level model based on the front-wheel-drive 2016 Chevrolet Cruze's D2XX platform. Go ahead and make your Cimarron jokes. Sources are telling GM Inside News that a Cadillac built on the Delta platform would ditch the Cruze's turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder for a 1.5-liter turbo in base models. General Motors' well received 2.0-liter turbo four would serve in higher-end models. According to GMIN, the Delta-based Cadillac would likely command a $6,000 to $9,000 premium over the Cruze, so figure $23,000 to $26,000 on the low end to $30,000 to $33,000 for something at the top of the range. As much as we dislike the kind of badge engineering that brought us the Cavalier-based Cadillac Cimarron in the '80s, the company has done an admirable job of distinguishing vehicles on shared platforms lately. A Delta-platform Cadillac would at least have a good basis – the new Cruze is surprisingly comfy. That said, we question GM's rationale if this rumor is indeed true. Put simply, Cadillac needs another sedan like I need another student loan payment. The company has four sedans, three of which overlap two segments, and none of which are selling very well. That's not because they're bad, but because customers want crossovers, of which Caddy has but one – the new XT5. Spending the time and money to add a fifth sedan to the mix when the company desperately needs to flesh out its CUV range would be a tremendous mistake. As much as we hate to say it, if Cadillac really wants to add a small, entry-level car to its range, it'd better be a crossover. Related Video:

Cadillac plans new branding campaign to go with new products
Thu, Oct 25 2018Cadillac's new leader says the GM luxury brand now has "thousands of people" working on its behalf back at its soon-to-be new headquarters in the Detroit suburb of Warren, with a new branding campaign under development and plans to fix longstanding quality issues. Cadillac President Steve Carlisle granted an interview with the Detroit Free Press in which he said he'll unveil a new strategy to redefine the luxury brand, which he's calling a "master brand," in the first quarter of 2019. "Cadillac has its own values — boldness, optimism, innovation, sophistication — that will reflect in the master brand," Carlisle told the outlet. The challenge is "how to bring those to life." He added that Caddy won't be defining itself simply as a viable option to gold-standard Germany luxury cars. "We're targeting customers versus competitors. Cadillac has to have its own persona and not be defined by where other brands are and are not. It has to have its own definition and that's what we're reflecting in our master brand." Carlisle, who was promoted to lead Cadillac in April, put his first stamp on Cadillac last month when the brand announced it will move its headquarters back to Warren, Mich., across the street from GM's massive Tech Center, after more than three years in Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood. He said its Cadillac House showroom, a ground-floor space used to display models and stage events with partners, will remain open "for the time being" and that the brand will use what it learned well outside of its Detroit auto-industry bubble to move the brand forward. He'll have his work cut out for him. Cadillac plans to launch a new or redesigned vehicle every six months for the next three years, and Carlisle said he wants the brand to be GM's technology leader, the first to deploy self-driving and electric-vehicle technology of GM's stable of brands. Yet the brand just ranked second-from-last in Consumer Reports' new reliability survey for 2018. Jon Linkov, deputy auto editor for CR, said the brand suffered for widespread complaints about its Cadillac User Experience infotainment system, with owners reporting frequent crashes, frozen screens and problems with voice control. "Most of (the complaints) really ran through the CUE system being a major culprit for Cadillacs," Linkov said. Through September, Cadillac's year-to-date sales had dipped a half a percentage point from the first nine months of 2017 to 113,240 units.
