For Sale to a Good Home:   Beautiful, Garage Kept, 2005 Cadillac SRX.  Smoke Free, Pet Free Home.  Pure Luxury vehicle.   This was a third car since February 2012 and used for occasional leisure.  This is my favorite car ever and I am sad to sell it.   Regularly maintained and well cared for;  I have most of the receipts and Flemington Cadillac has the maintenance records in their system as well.  Normal scratches and dings for a car this age.  I took many pictures to show you every angle of the car.  Auto History report shows one accident.  We were tapped in the rear in our church parking lot.   The bumper was replaced and the back was painted to be like new.

This vehicle is fully loaded with a rear seat DVD player, Navigation system, Satellite Radio ready and Bose speakers. Dual heated power Leather seats, windows, door locks and sunroof.   Power 3rd row seat allows seating for 7 passengers and the seat folds down for very large cargo area.  Ultra view sunroof opens fully to let in all the sunshine. Personalization for two drivers provides memory settings for comfort controls and audio.  Four new tires installed on 11/1/11 with light wear since car was used less frequently since 2012.   Synthetic oil.  Navigation works great, you may want to invest in current Map update.   DVD player includes remote control and three wireless headphones.   Two sets of programmed remote keys and all the manuals are included.

Age related conditions:  I've included as many pictures as possible to show normal scratches and dings for a 2005 vehicle.  Please ask questions if you are unsure.  I can email additional photos if needed. Most exterior marks can be buffed away.  Slight wear on CD console.  On the back section of roof there is a strip of rust (pictured).  Front bumper has white scratch marks.

2020 Cadillac CT5 loses the fake scoop

Tue, Aug 7 2018

Well folks, the inevitable has happened. The 2020 Cadillac CT5 luxury sports sedan prototype has shed its hood scoop. Yes, we're as disappointed as you are that instead of being outrageous and brash, Cadillac is still going to try to be classy, understated and luxurious when it comes to its mainline models. And yes, we're being sarcastic here ... but there's a part of us that would kind of like to see the scoop survive. Anyway, the good news is that the scoop is only one of a few bits of fake bodywork and camouflage that the CT5 has shed. As such, we get our best look yet at the new Cadillac sedan, and it looks pretty good. The grille is very wide and not nearly as tall as the prominent prows of current Cadillacs. It actually doesn't even look as tall as the grille of the Escala concept that inspired the CT5's design. The profile of the CT5 isn't too radically different from existing Caddies, with a long hood and a short trunk. It is still a conventional sedan, though, and not a sedan-like hatchback like the Kia Stinger and Audi A5 Sportback and A7. This is evident by the open trunk lid our spy photographer caught. The taillights also continue to be slim and vertical, though we can't quite tell if they will have a horizontal elements at the bottom like on the XTS and XT4. The car also has very bold and thick angular exhaust tips. We expect the CT5 will go into production in 2019 as a 2020 model, and it will likely take the place of both the CTS and ATS, but not be much smaller than the CTS. It will likely use versions of existing Cadillac engines including the 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder, naturally aspirated 3.6-liter V6, and twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6. We wouldn't rule out the 4.2-liter twin-turbo V8 for a potential CT5-V in the future. Related Video:

Watch Brad Pitt's Chinese Cadillac XTS commercial

Thu, 14 Mar 2013

Once upon a time, in a land not so far from this one, Brad Pitt was the very face anti-consumerism. You see, when he slipped into the role of the elitist-loathing, food-abusing, violence-embracing Tyler Durden from Fight Club, his visage was inextricably married to images of leveling credit card corporations with nothing more than a little human fat and some determination. Of course, that was before Pitt settled into old age with a passel of children at his feet. Now, it seems, he'll shill for something as long as it doesn't damage his reputation in America.
Need proof? Look no further than this Chinese ad for the Cadillac XTS. In it, Pitt contentedly wafts the big front-wheel drive barge around San Francisco against a mildly euphoric soundtrack. You can check out the scene for yourself below, just make sure you have your last meal squarely situated in your stomach before pressing play. We have to wonder if Pitt wakes up in the middle of the night with Chuck Palahniuk's oddly omniscient words echoing in his ears: "Then you're trapped in your lovely nest, and the things you used to own, now they own you."
