2005 Cadillac Srx Base Sport Utility 4-door 4.6l on 2040-cars
Franklin, Massachusetts, United States
This SRX has 80k pampered miles. It runs excellent and needs nothing. It just had a full tune up including new interstate 750cca battery, new plugs, fully synthetic oil, and new pirelli scorpion tires all around. I just got a sticker at Vendetti Cadillac and that is no easy accomplishment! I put new HID bulbs all around including head lights and fog lights. I have spent a lot of money on this SUV including new ceramic brake pads and new ball joints. Their are no oil leaks or any leaks of any kind. The tranny is strong and the V8 engine is powerfull. This srx has been very well cared for and has service history and documentation. As shown in the pictures this srx looks amazing on the inside and out. I am a mechanic and detail vehicles all the time so this suv looks and runs as good as ever. The MSRP was over 70k and has every option including, touch screen navigation, sirius radio, onstar, rear DVD player, Panoramic sunroof, power third row seating V8 Norhstar engine, and 18 inch chrome rims. I constantly get about 23 MPG combined. The suv gives a car like ride and handles excellent with the Pirelli tires. This is one of the nicest SRX's around and i am very proud of the vehicle. It gets a lot of compliments regarding the looks and interior quality! My wife no longer needs the third row seating as her job as a nanny has come to an end. That is why I am selling the SRX. I am replacing it with a Cadillac STS as the two vehicles are very similar. These vehicles are known to have oil leaks but not this one. Me and the previous owner have been meticulous when it came to servicing the vehicle and you can tell. The SRX runs excellent, looks excellent, and is very reliable. I am a very honest person that takes great pride in every facet of my life. I have a clean title with 2 keys and a new key fob. I can email a copy of the title to anyone to ensure confidence. Bid with confidence and call Derek at 508- 298-4576 or 774- 452-5590 with any questions at any time.

Texas sues GM, saying it tricked customers into sharing driving data sold to insurers
Wed, Aug 14 2024Texas filed a lawsuit Tuesday against GM over years of alleged abuse of customers' data and trust. New car owners were presented with a "confusing and highly misleading" process that was implied to be for their safety, but "was no more than a deceptively designed sales flow" that surrendered their data for GM to sell. The suit contends that at no point was selling driving data ever even suggested as a possibility, putting GM in violation of the state's consumer protection laws. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is seeking a jury trial and at least $10,000 per offense (every GM car sold in the state since 2015) and a hefty add-on of $250,000 in cases where the victim was over 65. Texas seems to be flying high after a recent $1.4 billion settlement from Meta over other privacy concerns. This may well be a way to solve any pending budgetary issues in the Lone Star State.
Cadillac still planning for big things in China
Sat, 20 Apr 2013Despite some hiccups, China remains the auto industry's great hope for new vehicle sales, with significant sales gains and a huge upside. Nowhere is that hope more fervent than at General Motors, which offers eight different marques in the Asian nation. China has been GM's single biggest market the last three years running, and is unlikely to give up that title anytime soon. Yet its premiere brand, Cadillac, has remained essentially stagnant, selling just 30,000 units in China last year. That's in a segment where sales of luxury vehicles has outpaced that of the larger Chinese market. So what gives?
According to Cadillac officials Autoblog spoke with in China this week at the Shanghai Motor Show, it's been a problem of product - they haven't had the right ones. Displacement taxation issues, import tariffs and currency fluctuations have all conspired to make the brand's products less appealing than they might otherwise have been. But GM is stepping on the gas with Cadillac, and executives are eyeballing 100,000 sales by 2016 - more than triple the Wreath and Crest's current volume. And the expectations for the brand only get more ambitious from there - they're shooting for 10 percent of the luxury market by 2020. Bob Socia, President of GM China, promises that there will be a new Caddy launched in the market each year from now through 2016 and most will be built in China. Characterizing the company's efforts to revive the brand's fortunes as a "relaunch" of sorts, Cadillac also figures to gain dealers as GM expands its sales outlet footprint westward.
New products like a made-in-China XTS sedan (with a market-specific 2.0-liter four-cylinder to avoid heavy displacement taxes) will help, and Socia hinted that the ATS sport sedan could be next in line for in-country production. The SRX crossover - currently the brand's best-selling model in China - will also likely get a long look for future local production when the next-generation model is introduced. In the meantime, Cadillac unveiled the Escalade ESV Hybrid (shown above) as its latest model addition to capitalize on the market's white-hot luxury SUV segment.
GM recalling 54k Cadillac SRX, HD pickup models
Thu, 01 May 2014There are more recalls to report General Motors, but these latest actions pertain to newer examples of the Cadillac SRX, Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD. With so much scrutiny on the company's recall strategy, GM is under increasing pressure to call in defective models more quickly, and it appears to be doing so here.
Here in the US, the automaker is recalling 50,571 Cadillac SRX crossovers from the 2013 model year fitted with the 3.6-liter V6 because the transmission control module programming can cause a three- or four-second lag in acceleration at low speeds. The explanation filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration states, "if the following sequence occurs within two seconds: during an upshift from first to second gear (8-10 mph), the driver then brakes the vehicle to less than 5 mph, and then accelerates again," the delay can occur. According to Automotive News, the recall effects 56,400 vehicles worldwide, and the company is not aware of any crashes caused by the problem. The fix consists of a transmission control module (TCM) reflash.
In a separate recall, GM is repairing 51 Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD pickups from the 2015 model year in the US. In vehicles with diesel engines and dual fuel tanks, the nuts that connect the fuel pipe to each side of the transfer pump between the tanks may be improperly torqued, which could cause a fuel leak. Obviously, this could be a fire hazard. The remedy is simply tightening the hardware. According to GM spokesperson Alan Adler, there have been no fires actually caused by the potential leak. "Only 21 of the trucks are in customer possession and they can be fixed anytime because there are no parts involved. The others are being fixed at dealerships," Adler said in an email to Autoblog.
